| The descriptions of the post-sequester landscape that have been coming out of the Obama Administration have been alarming, specific--and, in at least some cases, hyped. “There are literally teachers now who are getting pink slips, who are getting notices that they can’t come back this fall,” Education Secretary Arne Duncan said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” When he was pressed in a White House briefing Wednesday to come up with an example, Duncan named a single county in West Virginia and acknowledged, “whether it’s all sequester-related, I don’t know.”

In the words of the greatest Secretary of State America has ever had, "With all due respect, at this point, what difference does it make?" whether what Duncan claimed is true or not? It could just as well have been true. It is the kind of thing that might be true. And it is a good example of the consequences of the callous, obstructionist politics of Republicans, even though, in a strictly technical, literal, concrete sense it seems not to be true.
Conservatives and others without an Ivy League education fret and scratch their heads over the casual attitude of Leftists to the truth because they do not understand that for sophisticated Leftists there is no such thing as truth. No kidding. This is what they talk about among themselves, in faculty lounges, in the classrooms and other places where most normal people never venture.
No truth. No falsehood. No right, and no wrong. It is all a matter of "social construction" of thought and belief. But all social construction is not equal, or if it is, some is more equal than others. Power is the name of the game. Next to sex, almost more than marijuana, Leftists love power.
When you have the power, you can socially construct and deconstruct any darned thing you like, any way and any time you please.

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election.
