| Spring Break chaos has arrived early in Mexico´s Cancun this year with American college students already beginning their revelry across the resort. Hundreds of students have been pictured starting the party early in the Mexican city today, drinking heavily and dancing the night away with marines on patrol to ensure no one gets too carried away. This year Cancun was found to be the number one destination for students looking to enjoy the typically wild week-long holiday which doesn´t usually get going until March. However, some college students were out in force last night drinking and partying

I work at a University.....had a student worker who was full time student and full time long shoreman......if he wasn´t here at the University, he was working the docks to pay his way......summers, spring break and weekends.....I have little concern for those who whine about college loans.

We hae a whole new classification of folks who make +$40k a year from gov´t programs, yet have never held a job. They travel & party a lot... and become radical anarchists when their funding is cut. Be prepared.

After all that has happened on these Cancun spring breaks, what kind of parent lets their kids go there ?
Is it ok today to know your college age kid is drinking, doing drugs, partying and having sex instead of learning something with your money ? Oh, you did that too.

WASHINGTON- Senator Elizabeth Warren has found a publisher two months after the Massachusetts Democrat began shopping her book proposal. Henry Holt and Company, one of the nation’s oldest publishers, announced it had obtained the rights to publish the book, which it characterized as telling both “Senator Warren’s improbable rise from a working class family in Oklahoma to the United States Senate,” as well as providing “a rousing call for protecting the middle class.” The book will be published in the spring of 2014 and will be edited by John Sterling, who is editor at large for Macmillan,

A large majority of Americans hold a bleak outlook on the state of morality in the United States, as 72% said the nation’s moral values are “getting worse,” and only 20% said that moral values are “getting better,” according to a recent Gallup survey. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa on Wednesday displayed a string of emails showing his failed efforts to get an update from the Treasury Department inspector general’s office about its investigation into the IRS practice of targeting conservative groups who sought tax-exempt status. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
