| On Feb. 26, Vice President Joe Biden met with retired military officials, among them retired Brig. Gen. Stephen Xenakis, to recruit help in pushing an "assault weapons" ban, a "high capacity" magazine ban, and universal background checks. The fact that this guy made it to brig. gen. simply means that he had powerful friends in Congress --- and guess which side of the aisle they were on.
He probably thinks this gives him the same cachet as Pershing, Mark Clark, Omar Ridgeway, Patton, and Stormin´ Norman. I have a hot flash for you General, they were warriors.
You, on the other hand, are a bureaucrat, with probably no idea of what a firearm is, and how it may be used to keep a family safe.
So, by all means, Biden, parade your tame general around. See if that works any better than your other lunatic ideas.

"Stormen Norman" wasn´t a "Good Guy" either! He supported the "Assault Weapon Ban". He had been in NRA ads about "I am the NRA" but later supported the "Assault Weapons Ban". He was just like this Xenakis guy, an embarrassment.

Bu tthe ex-general was right about one thing: background checks.
Too bad for Pal Joey (Biden) he didn´t do a background check on Xenakis to learn his hero was making it with the nurse who was taking care of his wife, critically-ill with cancer.
And Xenakis is a PSYCHIATRIST, which just proves what they say, that you can´t be a good psychiatrist if you´re not crazier than your patients.

We now know that the Justice Department kept exceptionally close tabs on Fox News reporter James Rosen in 2010, following his trips in and out of the State Department, hacking his personal emails and phone calls. Normal newsgathering activities are being treated as criminal activities by the White House. But consider what the same White House had to say about Fox News back in 2009. You might remember the concerted effort by White House officials to brand the right-leaning Fox News as a bogus news outlet, unworthy of attention.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?"
