ABC is defending its decision to edit out an apparently erroneous claim by Michelle Obama in its broadcast of the first lady’s interview on Good Morning America today, saying it made the changes “solely” for the sake of time. As The Washington Examiner reported this morning, the first lady claimed during an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts that 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton, who was killed in Chicago shortly after performing during the President’s Inauguration, was shot because “some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need.” In fact, Chicago Police reported Pendleton was shot by a man who
OK everybody! All together now! "There´s no business like show-business..." Since the recent integration of politics and show-business on Oscar night, let´s just call this little bit of editing "artistic license."
The Obama lie machine has become an art form where people believe their claims regardless of how ludicrous they are . In this case MO´s cause outweighs the facts0 0 on the issue so it´s buffered out by the media.
If you´re a day care provider or home health care provider, don´t be surprised if you wake up one day and find you´re a new union mebmer, coughing up dues and you don´t have the right to contest it.
It´s always just under the surface and more and more comes out in the open. Liberals can´t help themselves because it is their religion. Like the jihadists, the Church of Liberalism requires all followers to use their station in life to further the agenda. No conspiracy is required. Obama makes it known where he wishes to go and they follow their leader. The duty of the liberal jihadist is to help where they can which includes protecting the leaders by providing favorable propaganda if you are in a position to do so.
The First Lady´s remarks had to be edited lest it sound like she had no idea what she was talking about. Kids with automatic weapons they don´t need -just playthings, really- are not the same thing as gang bangers shooting at rivals with handguns. Of course everybody knows that the First Lady has no idea what she is talking about. The reason is that she is not talking about what actually happened but what might as well have happened, what could have happened, and what WILL happen unless immediate, sweeping, effective gun control laws and abolition of private ownership of anything that even LOOKS like the dreaded "assault rifle" are enacted.
Leftists are always accused by normal people of lying or getting their facts wrong. This is not quite fair. Leftists are not truly concerned with mere facts. They have bigger fish to fry. They can be wrong about the (so-called) facts and still be right about the Big Picture. It happens all the time. Since conservatives, being mean-spirited, have no Big Picture, when they are wrong about the facts, it matters. It does not matter when Leftists are wrong about the facts.
Besides, it simply would not do for America to have an uninformed, sloppy-minded, mendacious ignoramus as First Lady, especially if she happens to be black. ABC had no choice but to clean up her remarks. It was the patriotic, progressive thing to do.
#12 Good question. All I can think of is the tidy job they did editing George Zimmerman´s 9-1-1 call to show how precisely he answered the operator´s questions about the hoodie-wearing lurker in his neighborhood.
The Mooch´s words speak volumes about the benefits of a Princeton affirmative action degree.
"And she was caught in the line of fire because some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need,” she said. “I just don’t want to keep disappointing our kids in this country. I want them to know that we put them first."
On the other side of it, it´s become common practice for state run broadcast media to engage in selective editing to smear the GOP. Why don´t Republicans just cite scheduling conflicts when invited by obama agents like david gregory and by the losers on msnbc? Or just ignore them. That´s how democrats respond to Fox News invitations. When GOP officials agree to appear, they should be very tough like John Sununu. It´s what the media whores deserve.

The editing was done so Mooch would not appear to be as dumb as a bag of hammers. Statements like this and numerous other statements by Emperor Zippy make you wonder about the real value of an Ivy League education.
Princeton and Harvard Law should be ashamed. Who did they deny in order to admit this mendacious, avaricious Affirmative Action marginal student? Why did she lose her law license? Why don´t the Republicans cut her budget?
A final effort by Senate Republicans to halt cuts to pensions of military retirees failed late Tuesday, after Democrats blocked an amendment to the controversial budget bill. The two-year budget agreement, which cleared a key test vote earlier in the day, was expected to get a final vote no later than Wednesday. Ahead of the final vote, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., tried unsuccessfully to use a parliamentary tactic to force a vote on the amendment, which he wrote to undo the cuts for military retirees. A provision in the already House-passed bill would cut retirement benefits for military retirees by $6 billion over
Federal Judge Richard Leon has become a sudden political celebrity after his remarkable opinion holding that antiterror surveillance is unconstitutional and, even more remarkably, enjoining the entire program. If only his legal reasoning were as compelling as his new repute. Klayman v. Obama was filed in the D.C. district court in the backwash of the Edward Snowden disclosures and claims that the National Security Agency´s bulk collection of telephone records violates the Fourth Amendment´s ban on unreasonable searches. Judge Leon´s 68-page opinion stays his injunction pending appeal. The largest flaw is that the
Domestic Spying: A federal court condemns the government´s "collection and retention of personal data on virtually every single citizen." This time it´s the Fourth Amendment the president is violating. Preventing terrorism is the most compelling reason to give government the benefit of the doubt in scrutinizing Americans´ domestic communications. But U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon, in an injunction issued Monday, pointed out that the government couldn´t "cite a single instance in which analysis of the NSA´s bulk metadata collection actually stopped an imminent attack" or aided in other government time-sensitive
Spending: Now that the Senate is on board with a budget deal that busts the sequester spending caps, lawmakers can finally stop all that dreadful cost-cutting — before they hit vital projects like NASA´s 3D Pizza Printer. The bipartisan budget deal, which will add $63 billion in spending, came just in time. After all, "the cupboard is bare," as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., put it awhile back. "There´s no more cuts to make." We see what Pelosi means. In fact, Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., just published a lengthy report this week showcasing all the vital things the government does that, thankfully, will be spared the ax.
No Veritas: A congressional field hearing has confirmed that not only is ObamaCare a lie agreed upon, but that "navigators" hired to guide the unwilling are telling applicants to lie and ignore the legal requirements to enroll. James O´Keefe, the videographer who helped topple the community activist group Acorn, recently released a video showing ObamaCare navigators in Dallas advising applicants to lie about their income and otherwise evade legal procedures and requirements when signing up for health insurance in the Affordable Care Act´s exchanges. That ObamaCare navigators, who receive a minimum of training and escape the
RUSH: Have you seen the news about the NSA? The federal judge, Richard Leon, has declared that the NSA sweeping phone calls is unconstitutional. Fourth Amendment. It violates search and seizure, and one of his big assertions in his opinion was that the government, despite being asked numerous times to produce evidence, has not been able to produce evidence that what they´re doing is working. They haven´t been able to produce evidence that they´re actually getting closer to capturing terrorists or other criminals, and I´m kind of conflicted because the knee-jerk reaction is to support Judge Leon and the ruling
A new Harris Poll finds that a strong majority (74 percent) of U.S. adults say they believe in God, but that´s down from the 82 percent who expressed such a belief in earlier years.Belief in miracles, heaven and other religious teachings also declined in the latest poll, as follows: --72 percent believe in miracles, down from 79 percent in 2005;--68 percent believe in heaven, down from 75 percent;--68 percent believe that Jesus is God or the Son of God, down from 72 percent;--65 percent believes in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, down from 70 percent;--64 percent believe in the survival
President Barack Obama sent Russia a clear message about its treatment of gays and lesbians with who he is — and isn’t — sending to represent the United States at the Sochi Olympics. Billie Jean King will be one of two openly gay athletes in the U.S. delegation for the opening and closing ceremonies, Obama announced Tuesday. For the first time since 2000, however, the U.S. will not send a president, former president, first lady or vice president to the Games. Russia has come under fierce criticism for passing national laws banning “gay propaganda.” Though the White House did not specifically address
Sure, he likely didn’t mean anything overtly sexual by it. But Vice President Joe Biden is a folksy kind of guy who has officially entered dirty old man territory and done something sure to elicit laughs within the White House Press Corps. Look how he’s manhandling The Hill‘s White House Correspondent Aime Parnes for this photograph taken at a recent holiday party that she posted on her Facebook page. For most people’s tastes he’s grazing way too close to the vicinity of her abdomen. And watch her reaction. Is it shock, awe, utter disbelief? Whatever the expression, she appeared to
Michelle Obama has once again stepped out in her $6,800 J Mendel jacket, despite fielding a backlash last time she wore the pricey garment. [Snip] But the last time she wore the embellished garment, in July 2012 at a Buckingham Palace reception in London, political commentators took issue with the fact that she had spent so much on fashion while so many in the U.S. are suffering financially. A post on the Gateway Pundit blog remarked that the design ´cost more than the average American family makes in a month ($4,284)´. ´She does this as Americans continue to suffer through a
Reportage of last week´s Nelson Mandela funeral reveals clearly enough that President Obama has reached the point in his tenure where everything ceases to go right -- when even the most serious and determined efforts deteriorate into a hash, or worse, a joke. This happens to everyone in public life eventually, politicians above all. The original attraction wears thin, flaws appear more prominently, styles and opinions change. There is little the individual can do to avoid this.(snip)The Mandela funeral shows that Obama is deep into this phase of his career, and has landed on his head.
The universe is a hologram and everything you can see - including this article and the device you are reading it on - is a mere projection. This is according to a controversial model proposed in 1997 by theoretical physicist Juan Maldacena. Until now the bizarre theory had never been tested, but recent mathematical models suggest that the mind-boggling principle could be true. According to the theory, gravity in the universe comes from thin, vibrating strings. These strings are holograms of events that take place in a simpler, flatter cosmos. Professor Maldacena´s model suggests that the universe exists in nine
London – Large tapestry portraits of President Barack Obama were unveiled for guests at the U.S. Embassy in London over the weekend. The recently-installed, large-scale tapestry portraits were created by National Medal of Arts winner and renowned American painter, photographer Chuck Close. Close created the portraits by compiling and interweaving Polaroids of the president from an hour-long photo shoot done the summer before, the Washington Post reports. The portraits are nearly 8 feet tall and more than 6 feet wide, with the final piece looking like photos but feeling like textiles. Close used one photo of Obama smiling and another
On Monday, Variety reported that Fox News had once again dominated all comers I the annual ratings, not merely blowing out CNN, MSNBC and HLN, but drawing more viewers than the combined averages of the three other networks. Fox News averaged 1.774 million viewers in primetime; the other three averaged a combined 1.626 million viewers in primetime. Fox finished sixth among all basic cable companies. The addition of Megyn Kelly to primetime has been a boon for Roger Ailes and company, with Kelly up 23% in total viewers in the timeslot. No wonder CNN, which is struggling to outpace Headline
