| With the sequester all but certain to go into effect at the end of the month, the only suspense associated with the topic is whether the Democratic expectation that the public will blame it all on the Republicans will be vindicated in the coming weeks. So far, polls show them to be largely correct, and should the administration’s predictions of post-sequester doom and gloom come true it may not be possible for the GOP to resist the pressure to give in to the president’s demands for more tax increases. The GOP caved on Hagel, they`ll cave on Brennan, then Lew, then the 2nd Amendment, then Global Warming, then what else do you have? They are weak and spineless. We have had 49 months of Obama and the GOP have caved on e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g regarding this character. Now that Hagel is in, expect Obama to spend the next couple of days hammering the republicans on the sequester, which they will then cave on too......

My donations and party membership is on hold until I see the Republicans stand up and say NO! I send my money directly to the candidates I believe will do the resistance the most good. I want our Party to fight like hell for our freedom and our country. This is one arena I am watching very closely- what the pubbies do over this one issue will mark my future with them forever! They stand- I stand with them, they cave, I start looking elsewhere for Conservative organizations!

Here´s what they need to say: If we do nothing the resulting problems will really be horrible. Disability is on track to go broke in 8 years. Medicare and medicaid shortly after that. Obama´s scary predictions about the sequester are nothing compared to what will happen if we do nothing about the spending.

Why is the percentage of the sequester hitting DOD a much higher percentage that DOD´s percentage of the budget?
Let´s cut 0´s budget for fuel for AF1 by 50% -- he is CIC and as such, is a part of DOD. And cut FLOTUS´ budget for new wigs -- they look ridiculous.

Two years ago, when Obama was sicking his media jackals on Sarah Palin, blood libeling her for the Tucson shooting, I don´t remember one single GOP representative sticking up for her or denouncing Obama´s conscienceless behavior (via his media slaves). To ask these GOP jellyfish to stand up to Obama Himself, He who "cares" so deeply about "fairness"? You´ve got to be kidding!

The history of the GOP is an uninterrupted series of retreats punctuated by surrenders. By now there should be no misunderstanding about the GOP. They don´t have what it takes. They are an impediment, an obstacle. The GOP needs to be replaced by a party that will do whatever it takes to turn back socialism.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
