| With just a few days left to convince Congress to avert the so-called sequester spending cuts, President Obama today travels to a part of the country where the cuts could hit the hardest: Virginia´s shipyards. Mr. Obama is visiting Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries in Newport News, Virginia. If the sequester goes into effect, it could have a direct and clear impact on Virginia´s shipbuilding industry -- the Navy would cancel the maintenance of 11 ships in Norfolk, according to the White House, and it would delay and defer other projects in the state.

We need to sequester his Air Force One budget, so he´ll quit all these ridiculous trips all over the place! Stay in DC and try to work things out with Boehner and McConnell.

A little intelligent money management would solve this issue painlessly. The Republican plan to give the departments a little flexibility about where to apply the cuts makes sense. The message is: The cuts in the previously planned increases are going to happen. Deal with it! You are being payed to manage.

My Mom lives in Newport News, as does my Dad and brother and nephew.
Mom worked her BUTT off for Romney and VA went Uhhhbama.
My family will be fine but I hope that the East End and all the Hidenwood´s and Hilton Village etc.. folk who voted for the SCOAMF in the WH wind up roaming the streets, dying of hunger.
Compassion?
Sorry, America told me that is a stoopid feeling better left to the past.

Contracts for the work being performed in the Newport News Shipyard, as well the yards owned and operated by BAE Systems and General Dynamics, are fully funded. The only impact in the Tidewater area MIGHT be to the government workers at the Navy-owned (and, therefore, very-expensive-to-operate) yard in Portsmouth.
I´m sick of the lies.

Emergency services were called to 70 separate incidents, including two torched primary schools, burning shops and a destroyed library building also housing a local police unit. Jackson for his past comments on social issues, the Christian minister says he is battling what he calls the “mainstream media’s caricature” of him. Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
