| Republicans on Monday rejected President Obama’s high-pressure push to avert a series of budget cuts called the sequester, saying that Obama was engaged in scare tactics and political campaigning when he should be seeking a deal. “This is not time for a road-show president,” Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) said at a news conference with other House Republicans. “This is time to look for someone who will lead and work with us, because we’re willing to work with them to solve America’s problems.” The lawmakers criticized Obama for a planned trip Tuesday

It´s time for the people of United States to understand that we do not have a president. We have a community organizer Marxist-in-Chief! There´s nothing in Obamas life or resume that shows he knows how to lead, knows how to govern, or knows how to do much of anything! This is the man that was freely elected by a bunch of damn fools!

Obama is not interested in making any deals. He is using this as a stake to drive into the Republican´s heart. He is holding the stake and the press is wielding the hammer.
Obama is out demagoging Republicans non-stop. When the sequester happens, it will be all-out political war. The administration will amplify the effects. Departments will instruct employees to refrain from providing services. Air traffic will slow to a near stop because of ´insufficient manpower´ manning the terminals. Trucking will be slowed because of a lack of DoT inspectors - who will be off on breaks when not on furloughs. Any manner of services will be impaired far beyond the effects of the cuts. The press will aid Obama´s cause by promoting endless sob stories. In the end, republicans will be cast as demons, and the Lofos will believe it.

#3, I know. GOP should not rescue Obama OR the American people from what he is doing to them. Who cares anymore that the press blames Republicans? They always will, so double down, stand strong and united and do YOUR job as the House leadership. Any show of cowardice or fear only makes it worse.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.

A healthcare provider has sued the Internal Revenue Service and 15 of its agents, charging they wrongfully seized 60 million medical records from 10 million Americans. The name of the provider is not yet known, United Press International said. But Courthouse News Service said the suit claims the agency violated the Fourth Amendment in 2011, when agents executed a search warrant for financial data on one employee – and that led to the seizure of information on 10 million, including state judges. The search warrant did not specify that the IRS could take medical information, UPI said.
