Hollywood ratifies Obama alliance

Last night´s Academy Awards made political history, surprising the claimed one billion viewers with an appearance by a gowned Michelle Obama via satellite from the White House to present the Best Picture Oscar®. (snip)It was a symbolic form of vassalage, signifying the switch of the entertainment industry from a mission of speaking truth to power (see Reagan and Bush presidencies) to one of support. We no longer tap shoulders with swords, we swoop in on the top award of the most prestigious event of the entire entertainment industry

Was this an example of how beloved The Moo has become?

I am so sick of the Obama´s they have seeped into everything in this country, turn on FoodNetwork there she is, Sesame Street there she is, now the Oscars and who knows what else this crud will seep into. She really isn´t that special, no matter how the left tries to act. I also think that they are making such a fuss because she is a black woman, those on the left have to make sure that they are not accused of racism so they always do things like this.

Just when you think Hollywood cannot stoop any lower they pull a stunt like this politicizing the Oscars in a way that´s totally inappropriate! The smarmy Obamas´ cannot help themselves from injecting their faces into everything! The self-loathing Jew Harvey Weinstein is totally responsible for the syncophant performance!

It always surprises me how fed up with the entertainment industry people are, yet they continue to support it by going to movies, subscribing to Netflix, subscribing to cable, watching TV.

Relocate the capital to Hollywood.

Always remember Hollywood is the one industry that is in the business of making the fake seem real by deception by all means available to them, from outright lying to using all sorts of modern electronic means, as long as those efforts serve to further dramatize their commercial and political ends.

In the past, by both rule and tradition the so-called academy that presents the Oscars always sought out presenters of their highest Oscar awards, best actress and actress, and best picture, from their members who were past Oscar recipients.

By inviting Mrs Obama who is neither a member of the academy or a past Oscar winner make the presentation for best picture in violation of their rules and traditions, the academy showed that they are merely just another liberal Democrat constituency group.

Remember president Obama´s first pitch of the MLB 2010 season at the Washington Nationals ballpark? It sailed towards the home team dugout. While he couldn´t throw a baseball within ten feet of home plate -- even if it took a double bounce on the way in -- Obama has tossed perfect incendiary strikes inside his own clubhouse, sending his entire team to the disabled list, demoted to the minor leagues, or banned from the game for life. In fact Obama´s entire liberal-progressive league has forfeited the rest of the season -- and then some.

Hey, liberals! Obama thinks you are stupid. Yeah, he really does. He knew Benghazi was terrorism before he didn´t know it was terrorism. Addressing a question about Benghazi in his press conference Monday, May 13, 2013, Obama´s "logic" really made an impression: "The Day after it happened I acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism." (snip) Leaving behind Obama´s initial certitude about Benghazi having been a terror attack, not only did he not know what had happened because it wasn´t clear

What person ever says what he really knows at a funeral? Eulogies bearing little or no resemblance to the deceased or to the facts are trotted out by people who are often bad actors, who though they know better, lie anyway. It´s almost acceptable behavior. But any truth about the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Christ Stevens and three other Americans appears to have been put six feet under as far as our current administration is concerned. (snip)Did they love Chris Stevens the way Brutus loved Caesar?

Somewhere, Andrew Breitbart is smiling. You can almost see the metaphorical light bulbs going on in bubbles over the heads of liberal media figures. Obama loyalists are expressing outrage at the subpoenaing of the phone records of 20 lines serving over a hundred AP reporters. The timing could not be better.(snip) the AP scandal´s significance entirely lies with its effect on the media´s mindset on Obama. They have been cheerleading for him for six years,

Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell was convicted yesterday on three counts of first-degree murder, not to mention a slew of other charges, including involuntary manslaughter (for the death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar), infanticide, and abortions past Pennsylvania´s legal limit. (snip)in a culture dominated by the 24-hour news cycle, it will be easy for Americans to consider the abortion issue closed with the Gosnell verdict. The pro-life movement´s challenge, as [Lila] Rose says, is to keep the American people focused on how common Gosnell-like practices are in the abortion industry, and on all the unsung victims abortion

Benghazi and Obama´s Legitimacy

Did Barack Obama in effect steal the election in 2012? It is impossible to know, of course, how matters would have played it if Americans had been told the truth about Benghazi. And what if the IRS had not hobbled conservative nonprofits (and therefore the movement) with extra scrutiny and consequent delay and expenses? But there can be no doubt that Obama helped himself by being able to claim that Al Qaeda was "on the run" and with an assist from Candy Crowley make Mitt Romney look bad on when he criticized Obama´s anti-terror policies.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
