| Mitt and Ann Romney, who have maintained a very private life since November, have agreed to their first post-election interview with Fox News. They are both scheduled for a March 3 interview with “Fox News Sunday,” according to a report in The Hill. “Enjoyed today’s #FNS? Be sure to tune in next week for our exclusive interview with @MittRomney & @AnnDRomney,” Fox News just tweeted. Mr. Romney is also set to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference in March — his first political event since his campaign ended.

Hmmm, does he still entertain thoughts that he could be president? Maybe Rove has gotten a committment from him to run again in 2016.

I wonder if they will ask him why he chose Stewart Stevens as his number one man during the campaign.
Mr. Stevens believes the msm are not n the tank for Obama. That kind of thinking is why we are all shell shocked from th last election.

He´s already given a talk criticizing the GOP´s hardline stance on illegal immigration. You know, the stance Romney used to beat up McCain in 2008 and Gingrich in 2012 for being soft on illegals and pro-amnesty. Maybe Mitt´ll decry negative campaigning as he did during one of the debates just before unleashing the most negative ads ever seen in a GOP primary. Perhaps a lecture on not trusting bogus internal polling and trying to coast to victory during the last three weeks of a losing campaign. Or just a few words on how to hire savvy media mavens like Stuart Stevens to run your campaign. Mitt has so much too teach us about politics, so much of it wrong.

I guess his former top strategist´s recent interview was the warmup? If he is interested in helping half the country stand boldly against what Obama is doing to the country, I am interested. I just wonder what´s up...

Nothing´s up, or at least nothing that should warrant any conspiracy theories. Romney isn´t going to run again in 2016. Fox asked him and Ann to do an interview, and they agreed. CPAC asked him to speak, and he agreed. He will probably be asked to speak at other organizations in the future. No need to impute anything sinister to it.

The emergency operating room where doctors tried to save President Kennedy´s life after he was shot has been broken into pieces and covertly stored in crates for years, guarded as if it were a state secret. As the 50th anniversary in November of the President´s assassination nears, an investigative team from local Dallas station WFAA went digging for the exact location of the broken tiles and medical equipment used on that fateful day. They found that the room was formally destroyed in 1972 when Parkland Hospital was going through an expansion and Trauma Room 1 had to be demolished.

Every Memorial Day, when I run into the grocery store to pick up those last minute items for the three day weekend’s picnic, I’m met with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) selling their poppies. We cherish, too, the poppy red/ that grows on fields where valor led; It seems to signal to the skies/that blood of heroes never dies-- “We Shall Keep the Faith” by Moina Michael -I remember as a kid that it was very common to see paper poppies being sold around Memorial Day. You could even go to the post office and purchase one

A 17-year-old boy and 22-year-old man were killed within hours of each other in separate West Side attacks Friday night, and a 29-year-old man was killed on the South Side, officials said. The youngest of the three killed was with an 18-year-old friend; both were shot about 11:30 p.m. in the 400 block of North Central Avenue in the Austin neighborhood. GUJRAT, Pakistan- At least 17 children were killed and 10 others injured when a gas cylinder on a school van exploded Saturday in northeastern Pakistan, officials said. The van, carrying 20 to 25 children, caught fire after the cylinder exploded, Dawn News reported. The driver survived but a teacher was reportedly killed, the BBC reported. The children, ages 5 to 15, were just a few miles from their school in Gujrat when the compressed natural gas canister exploded.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”
