Ted Cruz’s office has chided the New Yorker for calling a three-year-old speech news, but has confirmed that the Texas Republican believed that the Harvard Law faculty had numerous self-described Communists. Cruz, according to the New Yorker, said that there were a dozen Marxists on the law school faculty committed to overthrowing the U.S. government when he attended Harvard during the 1990s. The latest attack is to compare Senator Cruz to Senator McCarthy. It may be a valid comparison. McCarthy said there were communists in the government and there were. He was right.

I am running for Illinois Senator, not the presidency”, self-admitted that he was not eligible for the office. Seeing that an AP reporter is too professional to submit a story which was not based on confirmed sources (ostensibly the Obama campaign in this case), the inference seems inescapable: Obama himself was putting out in 2004, that he was born in Kenya.

And we all know which party Marxist-Americans vote for.
The GOP better have Cruz´s back on this, before the fellow travelers of the MSM begin their insane accusations of McCarthyism while making Marxist-Americans another oppressed, designated-victim group in the process.
Unfortunately, the GOP seems to abhor exposing the true sympathies of Democrats. Whenever "To each according to his need..." becomes too transparent, the GOP rushes in to confirm the "good intentions" behind this eternal axiom across the aisle. So unless Sarah Palin or Allen West jumps in, Cruz will have to defend himself against both the MSM wolves and the GOP sheep.

In line with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel’s order for troops to have their workplaces searched for “degrading or offensive” materials -- part of an attempt to curb sexual assault in the military -- the Navy will inspect even its bathrooms. While what’s degrading or offensive is open to interpretation, the material can include song lyrics and “inappropriate cartoons.” In a memo sent on June 13, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus ordered that all sailors, Marines, cadets and civilian employees have their workplaces searched by June 28.

A series of shootings this weekend has Chicagoans on edge. A total of 11 separate shootings since Friday night have resulted in seven deaths and at least 30 injuries in the Windy City.
