| Throughout the fight over Chuck Hagel’s nomination as Secretary of Defense, a devoted group of pro-Hagel journalists has been determined not only to defend Hagel, but to attack his critics and their credibility. They have gone beyond the “normal” mainstream media bias, which for most outlets merely meant ignoring flaws in Hagel’s record and his refusal to disclose key information. “Team Hagel” has even ignored its own scoops. For example, BuzzFeed was the first outlet on Feb. 14 to recover and post the prepared text of a controversial speech that then-Sen. Hagel delivered at Rutgers University in March 2007.

The first thing we must do is stop calling them ´´media´´, or journalists. They are nothing more than democrat operatives who have infiltrated and corrupted the old media organizations.
There is no pretense of truth or objectivity, nor concern for an informed electorate. They accept the fact that they are lied to and are happy to convey the lies to others. What does this make them? I can think of many names, but the most serious is that they are enemies of America. The Constitution means nothing to them, unless it can be exploited for their partisan agenda.

This has been going on for years and all we do is complain and call them names. This retort is getting worn out and they all but laugh at us. We´ve let this machine ramrod their lies over and over again with no consequences. They don´t fear or respect anyone because they know they have the power of public sway. What needs to be given serious thought in the higher circles is, how to deconstruct this power grip and counter their dishonest voice.
Will it take another revolution? Who knows, but if this tyranny continues anything is possible.

We no longer have a media ... when you lose media credibility in the media it´s a very sad for our country. They care more for the won than their own country. The sad part is they trashed Bush for eight years & called 4.5 unemployment rate a deep recession. The media quit caring about ratings & profit & selected the WH agenda.

DAMASCUS, Va - At least 50 people were injured Saturday after a car struck a crowd of hikers in the Appalachian Trail Days parade in Damascus. SAN JOSE— For most Americans in the United States, Armed Forces Day is not on the lists of likely holidays to honor the country’s military in celebrations of Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day. Sadly, most Americans may not even realize that Armed Forces Day is even a legitimate holiday. Armed Forces Day was established to be celebrated on the third Saturday in May. It started during Harry Truman’s administration when he led an effort to consolidate the various holidays supporting each separate branch of the military into a simple unified holiday to honor the four branches together.

Dorothy, the 14-year-old peregrine falcon that since 2002 has nested on a 40th-floor ledge of the Cathedral of Learning in Oakland, was perched on the limestone railing next to that nest and her lone chick shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. She´d just fed the 22-day-old chick a small bird for breakfast. "Baltimore oriole ... again," said Kate St. John, who blogs about the city´s peregrines. Someone else watching from the office inside the window next to the nest said it looked like Dorothy was calmly "chilling." Ms. St. John´s response was that nothing could be further from the truth.

WASHINGTON — An Internal Revenue Service watchdog testified Friday that he told Obama administration officials in June that he was looking into allegations the IRS targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status. The revelation by Inspector General Russell George came at the first congressional hearing on the IRS misconduct, which has generated a political firestorm since it was disclosed a week ago. George’s testimony represented the first evidence that officials in the Obama administration knew of the allegations as long as a year ago, during the presidential campaign.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. A healthcare provider has sued the Internal Revenue Service and 15 of its agents, charging they wrongfully seized 60 million medical records from 10 million Americans. The name of the provider is not yet known, United Press International said. But Courthouse News Service said the suit claims the agency violated the Fourth Amendment in 2011, when agents executed a search warrant for financial data on one employee – and that led to the seizure of information on 10 million, including state judges. The search warrant did not specify that the IRS could take medical information, UPI said.
