Anyone who lived through the Prop. 13 era in Cali-Mexia has seen this movie before.

They told us straight up that if prop 13 passed we would have no fire dept.....no teachers.....no police.

We seriously need more people like Rand Paul elected. In less than 1 minute he completely demolished 0bama on sequester, gave easily understood facts and called B0 out for acting unpresidential. In less than 1 minute!

Rand Paul may well demolish Obama´s foolish tactics, but only if people hear him. The MSM does a very effective job of keeping this type of response off the air or off the front pages. We see it and say yippy, but most don´t see it at all.

See? We get 20 or so conservative bold patriots with the TV presence and straight talk of Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, former Cong. West and we CAN prevail. As for where Boehner is - really - who cares. We (and the country) have learned we can´t count on him.

#2, you are exactly correct, I lived through Prop 13. It was not just fire and police, they DISTINCTLY said:

Garbage pickup will be cut (how, when we pay directly for that, but never mind)

Schools will be shuttered

Parks will be closed

Streetlights will no longer be lit

I remember that well, as it was right when I was turning 18 and became active in what was going on politically. None of these things, of course, happened.

I saw this interview this morning. But as #8 said very few people will hear about it. The msm is too busy kissing president skeeter´s butt to actually investigate what he said. How did our country get to this point? The stupid voting public.

What keeps businesses lean and competitive is the downturns in the economy and other factors that require hard decisions to be made in order to survive. And the only way to make government do the same is to starve it. It will complain and squirm and feign catastrophe but in the end make decisions that better serves the people.

And that is why only the bare minimum of things should be given over to the government. We see today what happens when it is given too much......a monster is created that destroys us all.

Well, let´s see. How much is the sequester that the resident in the people´s house signed into law last year - 22 Billion or something like that? So, apparently, it takes that amount of money to run the government because if the sequester stays, babies will die, children will starve, 800,000 employees laid off at the Pentagon, air traffic controllers out, airports shut down, no more teachers, and I don´t remember the rest of the litany. So, why do they need more taxes????? It is plain and simple extortion Chicago style.

I think both sides are afraid of Rand Paul. He gave the Tea Party response to the State of the Union speech and I had to find it on the internet. If it was on FOX, I missed it. They certainly didn´t repeat it over and over.
