Obama Gets Economic Advice
from Al Sharpton, Other
´African American Leaders´

Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

Barack Obama met with Al Sharpton and other "African American leaders" to discuss the president´s "plan to strengthen the economy for the middle class and continue to build ladders of opportunity for those striving to get there," according to the White House. Participants in the meeting included: • Melanie Campbell, President, National Coalition of Black Civic Participation • Ralph Everett, President, Joint Center for Economic and Political Studies • Wade Henderson, President, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights • Ben Jealous, President, National Association of the Advancement of Colored People • Avis Jones-DeWeever, Executive Director,

Comments:
Ahh yes, the biggest race baiter in the world gives economic advice which most likely consists of a list of "more free stuff." We really don´t need much proof that 0bama has degraded the White House, but this ranks right up there. The world is indeed upside down.

There are no cuts! It is a decrease in the amount of the scheduled increase.

It never ceases to amaze that *anyone* gives Al Sharpton the time of day - let alone a forum from which to spew his crap.

Based on ´economic advice´ from him, we´d see the White House holding a crack-addled hooker hostage in exchange for ´reparations´.

As amusing as it was to watch Democrats come w/in a hair´s breadth of running Sharpton for president...

...it´s a bit less amusing to see they actually have Sharpton version 2.0 running the country now.

A damn sad state of affairs.

No way any of those chumps can give intelligent economic advice. More like, obama is giving out talking points for the African-first crowd to mumble after sequestration hits.

Yep- Obama the great uniter is actually the most divisive president in our history. In
case he cannot count, the Black race is approx 12% of the population. What about he other 88 or so %. In my opinion Obama is the biggest fool to have ever disgraced the Oval Office.
Just wish he would stay on the golf course
all the time and forget to run the Country ( into the ground ).

In the context of this article, America has always been a magnet for jobs, the problem is African-Americans are not getting very many of those jobs, as a huge number of jobs that could be done by African-Americans have instead been taken by illegal aliens who Obama supports, at least rhetorically big time.

If you want to benefit the middle class, and the lower class for that matter, stop kicking the hiring class in the teeth with threats of higher taxes, higher energy costs, higher medical plan costs and more oppressive government regulation.

A Texas congressman once famously said
" No poor man ever offered me a job." Prosperous is good. It radiates down.

Hating the rich ain´t governing. I have spoken.

Danger. Danger. Al Qaeda’s Syrian wing also known as “rebels” bent on overthrowing Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad (mirroring the Saudi, the Obama administration and Republican Senator John McCain’s position), have taken over the oilfields that once belonged to Assad. If that wasn’t bad enough it gets worse. We are a hair trigger away from World War III. Reportedly Assad is preparing missile strikes against Tel Aviv if Syria is attacked again. Meanwhile, back in Obama’s America, don’t call Libya’s weapon recovery program “buyback” that then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton funded using $40 million of your tax dollars

The current scene doesn´t look so great. We´ve got the Benghazi scandal, which Bob Woodward has compared to Watergate, we´ve got the IRS scandal, where Democratic members of Congress are saying the IRS director lied, we´ve got the FBI AP-snooping scandal, we´ve got the HHS "private donation" shakedown scandal, and, of course, there´s the still-unfolding Pigford scandal that has funneled billions to grifters. It seems like everything is in tatters. And, in a way, it is. But serious as these problems are, they´re all short-term things. So while at the moment a lot of our political leaders

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

In Tuesday´s Senate hearings into the ever-widening IRS scandal, outgoing IRS chief, Steve Miller, acknowledged that the planted question that broke the story last week was his idea. The "planted question" refers to the way in which the IRS chose to release the findings of the Inspector General´s report a week ago Friday. It was an unusual way to deliver bad news, even in a town known for its selective leaks, Friday-night news dumps and wag-the-dog distractions. The Internal Revenue Service, apparently determined to get out ahead of an inspector general report critical of its handling of tax exemptions

Cybercrime and efforts to thwart computer attacks have finally crossed the $1 trillion a year line and Chinese sources are to blame for 89 percent of the high-tech assaults, according to a leading computer security executive and the National Security Administration. The wave of attacks has surged in the past three years to such a level, however, that efforts to defend and fight back haven´t kept up, prompting officials to call for international treaties to cover cyberspace, sanctions on countries that attack U.S. databases and even computer revenge. According to David DeWalt, chairman of the computer

Today, the Government Accountability Office issued a report of preliminary finding on the progress the Department of Homeland Security has made in its efforts to reduce the backlog of immigrant visas. Although almost 863,000 records were "closed" in the last two years, the backlog of potential overstays remains at more than one million [emphasis added]: In the summer of 2011, DHS reviewed the 1.6 million potential overstay records. As a result, DHS closed about 863,000 records and removed them from the backlog. Since that time, DHS has continued to review all potential overstay records for national

Even if she’s right about something fishy going on, there are other plausible culprits besides the U.S. government when it comes to reporters’ computers being infiltrated. Two weeks later, though, knowing now that the DOJ was willing to order a dragnet of AP reporters’ phone records and actually read James Rosen’s e-mails, there’s no way around the obvious suspicion. WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.
