| NEW YORK- With its violent crimes, high unemployment, dwindling population and financial crisis, Detroit was named on Thursday as the most miserable city in the United States. It toppled Miami, which held the title last year, and surpassed Flint, Mich., Rockford and Chicago in Illinois, and Modesto, Calif., which rounded out the five most unhappy urban areas on the list. I was born and raised in Chicago (a city I still love) during the 50s and 60s. Chicago was able to avoid the fate of crapholes like St Louis, Cleveland and Detroit back in the 70s when each city lost more than half their populations and most of their businesses. Bwlieve it or not, what saved Chicago was the otherwise corrupt Mayor Richard J. (not M.) Daley who kept Chicago business friendly and the city´s less savory elements confined to their neighborhoods. That´s all different now. After his son Richard II, and now Rahm, Chicago is finally beginning to circle the bowl.

Chi-ca-ca is fake. It´s a fake pretty picture laid over a toilet bowl. It´s a crap-hole. It´s full of violence, murder, crime, traffic, crooked cops, crooked politicians, crooked unions, liars, thieves, bad weather, death, and the Obama mentality.
It deserves to be Number ONE on the WORST cities to ever live in. Thank GOD I joined the US Air Force in ´67 and got the hell out of there for good!
PS to #6...I went to St. Clement grade school on Orchard and Deming and St. Benedict High School on Irving Park and Leavitt on the North Side. Thank GOD we werent born on the South Side or had to go to any Public school there!

The Obama administration has reportedly tried to enlist the NBA in helping it sell Obamacare to the American people. It’s unclear whether a potential marketing partnership would put big-name players at the center of ad campaigns or if it would be as simple as putting the NBA trademark on marketing materials, Politico first reported today. People can begin signing up for Obamacare in October, with the new insurance coverage kicking in next year. Many have speculated that the enrollment campaigns would benefit from a celebrity endorsement or partnership with a major sports league.

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
