| In his appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Democratic strategist James Carville was asked what the Republican Party has to do in order to recover. Mr. Carville pointed out that “It’s hard when you’re a congressional party.” What he meant by that is that without a titular head, a party is relatively undisciplined and often sounds cacophonous. The press will focus on the most outrageous statements made by backbenchers, which leads to responsible members of the party often finding themselves with “a fist in your forehead.” That’s a fair point. Three out of last five elections Republicans have been done in because of 1. recycled tired hacks 2. RINOs 3. Party Establishment chosen elites to head the ticket. This has prevented the fierce energy of the Conservative grassroots manifesting itself in election results. Notable exception being 2010. 2014 is shaping to be a 2010 on steroids if they can play their cards right. The struggle for the Party´s souls is not necessarily a bad thing if it can be controlled in time.

I will never listen to the advice of my opponent. The more "helpful" advice I hear from the left on how the Republican party should change, the more adamant I am not to believe it.

Carville certainly works to enable Left wing politicians get elected. He is a pro. His true leanings may be to the Left, but that doesn´t really matter. It is his job and he´s good at it. His wife, Mary Matalin, does the same thing for the Republicans. She, also, is a pro. She also, may lean Right, but that doesn´t really matter.
So Carville could well be giving a good analysis, or he could just be working. It is hard to tell. His opinion on this matter pretty much was along my own line of thinking, and I am among the most Conservative of those reading Lucianne. Is it a correct analysis? History will tell.

The Obama administration has no business rummaging through journalists’ phone records, perusing their e-mails and tracking their movements in an attempt to keep them from gathering news. This heavy-handed business isn’t chilling, it’s just plain cold. It also may well be unconstitutional. In my reading, the First Amendment prohibition against “abridging the freedom .?.?. of the press” should rule out secretly obtaining two months’ worth of the personal and professional phone records of Associated Press reporters and editors, including calls to and from the main AP phone number at the House press gallery in the Capitol

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:
