| On Thursday, President Barack Obama doubled down on his usual tactic of bullying his opposition rather than negotiating with them. Speaking to race baiter extraordinaire and MSNBC host Al “Resist We Much” Sharpton, Obama explained that Republicans don’t oppose tax increases because they think it will hurt the economy, destroy jobs, and prevent investment in business. No, said our uniter president, they do it because they hate poor people and love the rich: My sense is that their basic view is that nothing is important enough to raise taxes on wealthy individuals or corporations, and they would rather see

I have lived a long time, but never have seen such a disreputable president; at least Clinton lied about sex. Obama lies about everything and while he uses the rich as a whipping post, he consorts with them in the Hamptons and Los Angeles. On our aircraft dimes he vacations in Florida, Hawaii and his wife in Aspen in only the last three months. God help us if the American people allow him to manipulate them into hating the rich as well. Surely, they will eventually fold up their business along with the jobs they provide and move out of the country; some already have. President Obama, you are behaving disgracefully; in your dissembling you show your fellow Americans of all financial levels nothing but disrespect.

This lying SOB said that doctors routinely do procedures that are not needed in order to over-bill patients. In other words, the lying sack of cattle dung accused doctors of being cheats and frauds.
That really cut deep as my best friend, who is a decent and honorable man, was accused of being a thief -- BY THE POTUS!
Now I am told that what unites my political party is love for the rich. REALLY? I´m not rich by any American standard. I´m not sure I am even close to middle middle-class and I know I am not UPPER middle-class.
At this point, all I can say to Obama is this: Go to hell. Seriously: Go to hell. I am done with you; you´re beyond redemption as a human being.

I have been by turns fearful, enraged, determined, and resigned since 2008...but I´ve never felt such deep and sorrowful shame as I have in the past few days.
Obama has given up all pretense of playing politics now...this is just tantrums and plain old vindictiveness on display. I´ve never seen such a thing in my lifetime from a president.

Hopefully sooner than later the people who make this great nation work will decide he has done enough damage and impeach him.

Inquiring minds want to know, When was the last time the president was seen hanging out with poor folks? I´m talking about below the poverty line, and Barack actually spending quality time, you know like dinner over the pork and beans and watching TV with Mom and Dad. Yeah, I thought so. This man won´t even visit his Aunt and Uncle in this country or his Brother and relatives in Kenya. What a hypocrite! If you aren´t rich and famous you don´t get the time of day from this "man of the people"! He´s a fraud folks! Look behind the curtain!

AND, he spews this demagoguery in the company of that vicious thug Al Sharpton - a vile anti-Semite who TWICE incited mobs to commit murder. I can´t help but wonder if Obama will someday call on the ´Reverend´ to help him do that again, on a far greater scale. The government´s buying massive amounts of ammunition, which diminishes the supply available to citizens and prices it beyond the reach of some. And let´s not forget that "civilian national security force" - I´m sure His campaign´s data base could easily be used to recruit a People´s Liberation Militia pdq.

Obama and his media slaves know that "the rich" is a very effective smokescreen term. What it´s meant to cover is the respect and admiration actual Americans give to achievement and success. Democrats, on the other hand, find inspiration only in failure and dependency. The smokescreen words for that are "fairness" and a myriad concocted "rights". But Obama gets away with this abuse of English simply because Republicans demand absolutely no accountability. Instead, they reply only with a feeble "We want to help people, too!", as if eager to show the world that failure and dependency is bipartisan.

No, Mr. President, it is not love of the rich, but hatred of and disgust with you and the entire democrat machine that was hijacked long ago by the Progressives that SHOULD unite the Republican party. Most of us in the Republican party are NOT rich, but we do love our freedoms, guaranteed to us by the Constitution, the document you wipe your feet on. I thought Carter was ridiculously bad, Clinton a joke, but you are beneath contempt.

the idiot and his idiot supporters think that the rich will just stand there and let themselves get screwed. the rich find a way to minimize the changes, and in the process, more workers are let go, turning more taxpayers into welfare recipients. we went through that in the 70s, it culminated with carter, the last time the nation seemed poised for irreversible decline.
the only way they can achieve their dystopia is to turn the nation into slaves to the government, and don´t put that past them. the real misanthrope here is Obama himself.

Someone needs to tell this man that the campaign is over.....
If it weren´t for the stonewalling and media coverup over Bengazi until after the election, he would have been deposed, and bwe would have a new person running the show.
The hardest part of all this is that the man is so undeserving. The man rules like a monarch or dictator and shoves crap in our faces with impunity--
Losing the election is one thing, but losing it to such an unworthy person who was elected with deception makes it even worse!

Mr. President, I would love to see a full accounting of how much of your personal money and your personal, volunteer time you have given to help the poor.
I would then compare it to mine. I´m pretty sure that I would win. And I´m a Republican.
Now, just who is it that doesn´t like the poor? Put your own money and unpaid time where your mouth is.

You can always rely on the administration of Barack Obama, a former constitutional-law lecturer (or as his résumé-inflating fans put it, “professor”), to do the sleazy thing when it comes to the Constitution the president is sworn to defend. Thus, the performance on Wednesday of Lois Lerner, chief of the Obama IRS’s Conservative Harassment Division, before the House oversight committee. There’s an old scam criminal defendants occasionally pull. They give a bit of exculpatory direct testimony – just enough to gaze plaintively at the jurors and swear, cross-their-hearts, that they are pure as the driven snow. Then

The woman at the center of the IRS scandal refused to testify to Congress on Wednesday, but House Republicans said Lois Lerner botched her attempt to invoke her right against self-incrimination and said they likely will force her to come back and explain why the agency targeted conservative political groups. Ms. Lerner’s refusal to testify shifted attention to her onetime boss, former Commissioner Douglas H. Shulman, who apologized to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee but refused to take responsibility, leaving furious lawmakers warning that the Internal Revenue Service could end up facing a special prosecutor.

Early in an opinion issued recently by a unanimous three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Judge A. Raymond Randolphsaid: “Although the parties have not raised it, one issue needs to be resolved before we turn to the merits of the case.” The issue he raised but could not resolve — that is up to the Supreme Court — illuminates the Obama administration’s George Wallace-like lawlessness. It also demonstrates the judiciary’s duty to restrain presidents who forget the oath they swear to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.” The appeals court was deciding

Revelations about the Internal Revenue Service targeting conservative groups have raised important questions about the Obama administration’s commitment to the First Amendment. Yet there is ample evidence to suggest that the culture of intimidation in which these tactics were allowed to flourish goes well beyond one agency or a few rogue employees. For years, administration officials have used the power of the federal government to isolate their opponents. Meanwhile, the unionized employees who populate the IRS and other agencies across the country routinely take their cues from union bosses, whose political donations and speeches show their support

As soon as White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler heard about an upcoming inspector general’s report on the Internal Revenue Service, she knew she had a problem. The notice Ruemmler saw on April 24 gave her a thumbnail sketch of a disturbing finding: that the IRS had improperly targeted tea party and other conservative groups. She shared the news with White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough and other senior White House aides, who all recognized the danger of the findings. But they agreed that it would be best not to share it with President Obama until

CHICAGO — Religiously devout business owners are waging a broad rebellion against providing their employees with contraceptive coverage, bringing dozens of lawsuits that seem certain to land the issue before the Supreme Court. The company owners say their religious beliefs take precedence over a new federal requirement, contained in President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, that they give employees insurance that covers contraceptives. The legal battle took an important step forward Wednesday when an appeals court here heard arguments in two cases brought by business owners who are Catholic. Another challenge is scheduled to be heard Thursday by an appeals court

A Chechen man linked to one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects was fatally shot early Wednesday in an unusual encounter with the FBI and other law enforcement officers in his apartment in Orlando. According to federal law enforcement officials, the man was being interviewed about whether he and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the bombing suspects, were connected to a two-year-old triple slaying when he attacked an FBI agent. There were conflicting accounts of what happened in the moments before the man was shot. One federal law enforcement official said the man, a professional martial-arts fighter, was shot

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state
