Did Rush Limbaugh just
launch a Tea Party revival effort?

Washington Examiner [DC], by Charlie Spiering

Rush Limbaugh opened his show this afternoon proclaiming that for the first time in his career, he was ashamed of his country. Why? Limbaugh explained that both political parties in Washington refused to stop spending and used alarmist scare tactics every time anyone proposed cuts to government programs. "To be watching all of this, to have my intelligence – all of us – to have our common sense and intelligence insulted the way it is….it just makes me ashamed," Limbaugh explained, "Seriously man, here we get worked up over 44 billion dollars – that’s the total amount of money

Rush was dead-on right. If we have to battle all these same old lies just to cut the RATE OF GROWTH, then we have little chance of actually doing the meaningful, necessary cutting that we must do in order to save the country.

The RINOs have been aiding and abetting their fellow statist progressives in the Democrat Party for decades and it´s way past time to take them down.

I´ ve noticed and BTW been proud of Rush telling us all how it is with "the establishment" "republicans" in DC and elsewhere going along with the enemies of our country. These people just want to continue to have influence and power over the greatest nation the world has ever known. The worker bees be damned. Those of us and our forefathers who sweat and bled for this "experiment" in self governance had better watch our backs.... and those we back.

Rush is spot on. We are being sold a bill of goods again by both parties! I am so sick of the false crises that are forced upon us by the ruling class and their partners in crime, the media. The dangerous rhetoric coming from the President is disturbing because he wants to see us at each others throats. He needs chaos in order to advance his agenda. Problematic for us is the fact that no one has the resolve to stop him. The Republicans are too busy trying to find common ground. There is NO common ground with this President. He insists we bend to his will. We need warriors, not compromisers. We are being pushed to civil disobedience in order to justify the crackdown that Obama desires. How do you believe a Tea Party rally would be received today? Obama would see to it that there was plenty of threatening opposition that would show up. The animosity he has so carefully fueled would be ignited. This is the goal of all progressives. They must stomp out all opposition by any means.

If you don´t know why we listen to Rush, you´re not listening. Rush, talk radio in general, and the internet are the only places you will find an honest discussion of the issues we face.

Rush is on to something-- The RINOs have sold out to the notion that BIG government is inescapable, and his cohort Mark Levin has also hit it on the head.

The "Old Bulls" as Levin calls them, and the "establishment" as Rush calls them are totally adrift from voting as their constituents would want them to vote, and instead are trying to become a "ruling class" whom the media will favor.

The GOP is a divided party between those who are still staunch conservatives loyal to the brand who still hold to lower taxes, less government, and moral social responsibility and those who think they can rule better than the dems can with big government.

They pal around with each other and have forgetten the maxim that "the government which governs best also governs least".

Enjoyed Rush so much yesterday. He said what so many of us are thinking and feeling. The real bonus is that he must have caused genuine fear in the Left and Rino population because the resulting howls are ear-splitting.

I loved the irony and fun parody of using Michelle´s line of being proud of her country for the first time, and turning it around.

I have flown the flag daily since 9-11...

...until this last election.

With that said, I see good only coming out of the GOP and I see some of that vilified, a great way to divide us. I see bad stuff, too. And, yeah, current topic: the sequester? Nice to see the Donks squirm. Nice to see SOME cutting. I´d like to see the GOP with unassailable majorities but... what is it Coulter called the Libertarians, little ´kitties´?. Yeah... They´re that.

A religious group spewing what the owners of One Liberty Place call hate speech against women, whites and gays can no longer demonstrate immediately outside the building´s entrance at 16th and Chestnut Streets, a judge ruled today. The owners of One Liberty Place in Center City Philadelphia filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge. The group is frequently seen perched on Center City street corners shouting at passersby through bullhorns. Liberty Place Retail Associates, which owns the building, has asked the state court to bar the group from gathering in front of the entrance

WASHINGTON — Schoolchildren from New Jersey shore communities battered by Superstorm Sandy will join Michelle Obama for a garden harvest next week. The White House says the first lady will also be joined Tuesday by students who helped plant the crops last month. The New Jersey students are from Union Beach Memorial School in Union Beach and Long Beach Island Grade School in Ship Bottom. Both schools were damaged in last October’s storm. Both also teach their students about healthy eating, which is one of the first lady’s causes. The students who helped plant lettuce, broccoli and various other crops

Thursday morning on Chris Jansing´s MSNBC show, Politico Senior Reporter Lois Romano referred to Guantanamo Bay as a "really bad political tar baby" for President Obama: JANSING: Lois, let me start with Guantanamo Bay. Everybody knows [Obama] made this campaign pledge the first time he ran. Again to the question ´why now?´ -- was he pushed by the hundred prisoners who are on hunger strikes? ROMANO: I think it just came to another boiling point right now. [Obama] ran on this in 2008, and if you recall, when he came into office, there was a lot of turmoil

There have been a number of new revelations this week in the ever expanding scope of the IRS scandal. However, even with so many developments in the investigation of this egregious scandal, there was extremely limited coverage of the unfolding of this affair in the morning news of many more liberal stations like ABC, NBC, and CBS. In contrast, Fox News devoted almost 15 minutes in their programming on Thursday morning’s Fox & Friends show to enlighten the public of all of the new information in the scandal. The only other station to provide any coverage

Obama stretches terror

In a long-awaited speech at the National Defense University, Barack Obama claimed that the nature of international terror attacks threatening the United States has changed since Sept. 11, 2001, with ´no large-scale attacks´ on America occurring since then. But his definition of ´large-scale attacks,´ his speech made clear, doesn´t include the 2013 Boston Marathon attack that wounded hundreds, the 2012 Benghazi terror attack that injured dozens and killed four, and the 2009 attack at Fort Hood that killed 13 and injured 30. All those attacks had the potential to leave far more American bodies in their wake than they actually did.

Another major political speech, another Code Pink heckling. During President Obama‘s counterterrorism policy speech at National Defense University on Thursday afternoon, Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin interrupted when the topic turned to the closing of the military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay. “I’m about to address it, ma’am,” Obama said as Benjamin went off about the hunger strike currently taking hold amongst Gitmo detainees. “Why don’t you sit down? But you’ve got to let me speak.” “You are commander-in-chief! You can close Gitmo today!”

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
