| Bill O´Reilly scored two best sellers detailing the final moments of Presidents John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln. The Fox News host´s next project promises to raise the stakes far beyond presidential politics. Bill O´Reilly, the Fox News anchor and author, has signed to write Killing Jesus: A History, as a follow-up to his best-selling books Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot and Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever. The book will be published Sept. 24 by Henry Holt and Co. Martin Dugard, O´Reilly´s co-author on the Kennedy and

Comments: I´ve read Killing Kennedy and it was really very good. It had some things in there I had never read before regarding a Russian CIA agent. If this book is successful as the other two it will drive the leftists wild.

O´Reilly, a self-described Catholic, released a statement regarding the deal, explaining that Jesus´s "teachings, his legacy, his life as a flesh-and-blood man and his death created the world in which we live.”
No, Bill, it was His resurrection that created the world in which we live.
Everybody dies. In that regard, Christ was no exception.
This does not bode well.

He will "write" the book the same way I will "read" the book. Bill is a pompass big mouth jerk. The fact that these "books" are best-sellers is just a further example of how stupd people have become.

Yes, #4, Jim Bishop already did it and did it well. As for O´Reilly, I tried to listen to an audiobook of one of his memoirs and it was so terrible, I stopped at a rest area and dumped the whole thing in a trash can. Never again.

Sorry, I wouldnt give this big loofa oaf one red cent! Anybody who does give him money for his cheap thoughts is , dare I say, as moronic as O´Reilly. What an over-rated shill, he found a way to make money off of the public and he dove right in...Teacher? My ass! He couldnt teach his way out of a paper bag! Totally illegitimate.A big phony! Cant stand this tall alcoholic clown, whoever watches him on Fox News must be either deaf, dumb, or blind. It´s all about the money, nothing else, because most of the time this nerd is so damn clueless!!!

Actually, O´R may not be most of our cup of tea but have to admit lots of people read his books. Personally, will not bash him for being in on several books because anything that gets people to read is a good thing. He is not writing for the genius´ among us but for the great unwashed. So lighten up and cut the man some slack. I understand that most of you highbrows are reading Beowolf, Shakespeare, and Milton but many very nice people read O´R.

Sorry #13, you sound nice, but I have to agree with most posters here--O´Reilly is a big horses ass doofus! "Highbrows"? None of us ever claimed that at all.....
Would love to teach side by side with him for one semester and be rated and graded on our performances...I´ve been nominated for TEACHER OF THE YEAR twice and I work hard at it. Bill lasted what? One year as a "teacher"..Did he ever get his Masters Degree? I doubt it....LMAO at that big clown! He´s about as fake as a three dollar "bill" !

Good teachers who stay the course are rarer than a hen´s tooth. My hat is off to you. Was not gore-ding your ox..but some posters are pretty snobby. And, just bashing O´R does not make one a snob. Just know from a great many people around me that O´R books give them a pleasant and even interesting read.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is feeling the heat as potential GOP allies are now turning against his immigration reform bill. Republican colleagues who were previously viewed as possible “yes” votes are keeping their distance from the 1,075-page measure. On Wednesday, conservative activists ripped Rubio and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) — both sponsors of the bipartisan immigration measure — at a Capitol Hill rally. The crowd, which was protesting the bill’s effort to put millions of illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship, booed at the mention of Rubio’s name during the six-hour event.

It hardly gets more Orwellian than this. New technology would allow cable companies to peer directly into television watchers´ homes and monitor viewing habits and reactions to product advertisements. The technology would come via the cable box, and at least one lawmaker on Capitol Hill is standing in opposition. Mass. Democratic Rep. Michael Capuano has introduced a bill, the We Are Watching You Act, to prohibit the technology on boxes and collection of information absent consumer permission. The bill would also require companies that do use the data to show

Continuing his streak of fiercely criticizing President Obama’s foreign policy and civil liberties record, pre-eminent left-wing scholar Noam Chomsky told GRITtv that this administration is “dedicated to increasing terrorism” throughout the world via its own “terrorist” drone strikes in foreign lands. Speaking with GRITtv host Laura Flanders about the National Security Agency snooping scandal, Chomsky remarked that “the Obama administration is dedicated to increasing terrorism; it’s doing it all over the world.” He continued: “Obama is running the biggest terrorist operation that exists, maybe in history:

Nick Gates was being held Tuesday in the Harris County jail on a $10,000 bond. He’s charged with making a terroristic threat. Investigators allege threatening phone calls made June 5 to Cruz’s offices in Austin and San Antonio were traced back to Gates. A $509,840 grant by the National Institutes of Health will pay for a study that will send text messages in "gay lingo" to methamphetamine addicts to try to persuade them to use fewer drugs and more condoms. The study began in February. Lead researcher Dr. Cathy Reback of the Baltimore-based Friends Research Institute, Inc., told CNSNews.com how she and her team of health educators will spend the next four years and over half a million dollars encouraging gay meth addicts to cut down on unprotected sex by periodically sending them “gay-specific” text messages.

EXCLUSIVE: In the hallowed halls of Columbia University, a nest of ex-cons — who have served time for murder, attempted murder, robbery and assault — hold court on their unique brand of social justice for admiring students enrolled in the school´s social work program, a FoxNews.com investigation has found. The ex-cons work for or with the Criminal Justice Initiative (CJI), co-founded in 2009 by former Weather Underground operative and Columbia adjunct professor Kathy Boudin, who pleaded guilty to felony murder for her role in an infamous 1981 armed robbery that left two police officers and a security guard dead.

On Rush Limbaugh’s radio show this afternoon, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, denounced the Gang of Eight immigration reform bill, encouraging his audience to call their member of Congress to oppose the bill. Cruz noted there were about 20 Republican Senators that were on the fence about voting for the bill, but that he believed that it was “politically foolish” and “terrible for the country.” “It doesn’t fix the problem,” Cruz said. “We need to fix the problem, secure the borders and improve legal immigration.” Cruz dismissed the Congressional Budget Office report showing that the bill would actually decrease federal

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
