When will "conservatives" crawl out from under their log cabins and discover real heroes like Alec Baldwin?

Actually we heard of Dr. Carson years ago, have read his books and there is a movie based on his life, ´´Gifted Hands.´´ ...The lsm is once again late in catching up, proving yet again the near total disconnect between beteen the dems,´ ´PC Gotham,´ media and the real world. The dem pols and their media seem to live in another world.

As long as Rove´s Do-Nothing Republican party controls the Primary process, Carson can´t get a nomination for President.

Only a Tea Party based Republican Party would have the courage to nominate him.

What an insult...

If conservatives want to criticize the left for their infatuation with stars who have no political experience (Ashley Judd, Sen. Frankel, Obama) then we must insist that something more than the flavor of the month is needed for nationally important offices. So as successful as Dr. Carson has been in his field - it can´t be enough to justify our throwing his hat in the ring for a run to the most important position in the world.

Do we have so many great candidates we can dismiss Carson summarily? Particularly, do we have so many great black candidates? Carson is an extraordinarily intelligent man. Something that cannot be said for Obama.

Although Dr. Carson has no political experience, look where career politicians have taken us. It would depend on who he selected as his advisors. I agree that Carson would need to be vetted before getting behind him, but we´d be crazy to dismiss him for lack of political experience. He has what most elected officials don´t have and that´s experience in the real world, the world the vast majority of Americans have to live and survive in.

Would it be too much to ask what his positions on the issues are before we elect him Sun King? Sorry, I´m old fashioned.

Reagan was just an actor. Barry a community organizer. An honest, patriotic neurosurgeon? I´ll take my chances if he is so inclined. I don´t what these mysterious qualities are that someone has to have to run for office. Honesty and an understanding of our founding and the constitution pretty much do it for me.

If a person has the right ideals,his policies would reflect that. Everybody knows Obama wasn´t qualified but his ideals,as misguided as they are won over enough idiots in this country to win.
I don´t think there´s enough level headed people left in this country to look at someone like Carson and be able to project where he would take the country. But the left is scared of him and that´s why they´re sniping already.

People expect the political class to come up with nominees.it would take a huge grassroots movement to get Carson through.

Dr. Carson´s positions on some important issues:

Health care reform and personal responsibility:

When a person is born, give him a birth certificate, an electronic medical record and a health savings account, to which money can be contributed, pre-tax from the time you are born, to the time you die... Now they have some control over their own health care and what do you think they’re going to do? They’re going to learn very quickly how to be responsible.


Tax reform:

...there must be something inherently fair about proportionality. You make $10 Billion dollars you put in a Billion. You make $10 you put in $1...


Equlity, Compassion, Education:

If we commit ourselves to reading, thus increasing our knowledge, only God limits how far we can go in this world.

and

Being a doctor at Johns Hopkins does not make me any better in God´s sight than the individual who has not had the opportunity to gain such an education but who still works hard.

and

It does not matter where we come from or what we look like. If we recognize our abilities, are willing to learn and to use what we know in helping others, we will always have a place in the world.


Education:

We have dumbed things down to that level and the reason that is so dangerous is because the people who founded this Nation said that our system of government was designed for a well-informed and educated populace, and when they become less informed, they become vulnerable.

Constitutional principles:

PC is dangerous. Because, you see, in this country one of the founding principles was freedom of thought and freedom of expression.


Fiscal and moral responsibility:

Moral decay, fiscal irresponsibility. They[Rome] destroyed themselves. If you don’t think that can happen to America, you get out your books and you start reading, but you know, we can fix it.


Refocusing politics:

We need all those people involved in government, not just lawyers… so you got all these Democrat lawyers, and you got all these Republican lawyers and their sides want to win. We need to get rid of that. What we need to start thinking about is, how do we solve problems?


Transparency/Honesty:

Tell the truth. If you tell the truth all the time you don´t have to worry three months down the line about what you said three months earlier. Truth is always the truth. You won´t have to complicate your life by trying to cover up.


The three AM phone call:

Success is determined not by whether or not you face obstacles, but by your reaction to them.

Unity:

At this critical time in our nation´s history, we must remember that ´a house divided against itself cannot stand´. If we learn from the past, we can stand tall in the future.

Three big cheers for #12-13, it´s almost as if some frequent posters do not read the articles on Lucianne. The story of Ben Carson has been posted and enjoyed by Lucianne fans since the first inspirational words flowed from Dr. Carson´s lips at the Prayer Breakfast.

The article was basically fair, except for the twisted logic that only Conservatives wish to save money and enroll in a sensible health care plan like the one offered by health-savings accounts. Bias is bone deep with the Leftists.

If you´re a doctor you may have heard of him? Where have these people been for the last 20 years or so? Maybe they´re too busy memorizing movie start bios.
