| During a Friday Google+ hangout session, President Barack Obama conceded that his policies to address climate change will raise energy costs, a fact that could prove uncomfortable for Democrats in areas reliant on fossil fuel power plants: I have to tell you that there are some Democrats, for example, who represent states or districts that are heavily reliant on old power plants and are more heavily manufacturing based. And the truth is that if you produce power using old power plants, you’re going to be emitting more carbon, but, to upgrade those plants means energy is going

Comments: The only thing missing from his statement is, "just as I planned." I utterly despise this anti-American destroyer. The fact that he is not even slightly concerned is outrageous.

He is attaining his goal of shutting down America and forcing us to be dependent on the middle east.

So the propaganda turns from "necessarily skyrocket" to "a little bit more expensive".
The typical mr. o. plan will be a new and enormous carbon tax with a promise of Keystone pipeline jobs that will be created sometime in the vague future.

Rising gas prices, rising medical costs, rising energy rates. Keep it coming, Obama, because I don´t know any other way to teach (half of) the American voters a hard lesson.

"Energy is going to be a little more expensive"??!
In a videotaped 2008 primary-campaign interview Obama revealed his dream of ending oil and coal use in the U.S., pointing out that the only realistic way to achieve that will be to drive prices to a level where they are no longer cost-competitive with ´sustainable´, ´green´ energy sources. (Terms put into quotes to emphasis their use as delusional euphemisms by the Left...)
So scratch that "little more expensive" baloney. What Ø means to say here is "prohibitively expensive".
How I hate the MSM´s aggressive propagandizing on behalf of the very man who would strip their 1st-amendment protections if he ever got the chance.

President Obama´s top climate adviser on Wednesday vowed that “meaningful” action on global warming was coming soon. Heather Zichal, the deputy assistant to the president on energy and climate change, said she didn’t want to get “in front of the big man” and unveil specific plans during an event in Washington, D.C. hosted by The New Republic. She spoke broadly, however, of bolstering energy efficiency, expanding clean energy on public lands and using various “tools” -- including the Clean Air Act -- to address climate. Zichal’s comments come as speculation grows that the administration is preparing sweeping

The FBI uses drones to watch specific targets within the United States, the bureau’s chief said Wednesday. FBI Director Robert Mueller told senators the agency uses drones infrequently for surveillance in the U.S. and only in regards to specific investigations. “Our footprint is very small,” Mueller said in testimony. “We have very few and have limited use.” Mueller made the revelation before the Senate Judiciary Committee after being questioned by the panel’s ranking member, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). Mueller said he wasn’t certain whether the FBI had any official agreements with other agencies — such as the

The Obama administration has reportedly contacted the National Basketball Association (NBA) about a role in promoting healthcare reform around the country. Efforts to sell ObamaCare are ramping up ahead of October, when people can begin signing up for the new insurance exchanges, and January, when the exchange coverage kicks in. Many have speculated that the enrollment campaigns would benefit from a celebrity endorsement or partnership with a major sports league. The news of a possible collaboration between the White House and the NBA was reported by Politico, which cited health officials in

As he gets ready to leave the mayor´s post in Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa is making clear that he´s got his sights on becoming governor of California — at least someday. Villaraigosa, a fixture on TV last summer as he presided over the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, was not coy when discussing his political future Tuesday with KPCC radio. "You mentioned governor. Look I believe in public service. I want to run for governor. In fact, I fully expect that I will, " Villaraigosa told KPCC´s Larry Mantle. "I´m going to tell you something. WASHINGTON -- Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska has endorsed gay marriage, becoming the third Republican to do so. In a statement on her website, Murkowski said supporting same-sex marriage is consistent with her values as a "lifelong Republican" who believes in "promoting freedom and limiting the reach of government." "I support the right of all Americans to marry the person they love and choose because I believe doing so promotes both values: it keeps politicians out of the most private and personal aspects of people´s lives -- while also encouraging more families to form

Despite first lady Michelle Obama´s four-year campaign to wean the nation off Big Macs and Big Gulps, obesity in America rose last year, continuing an unbroken 15-year streak, according to new figures from the Centers for Disease Control. In an early release of some data in its 2012 National Health Interview Survey, the CDC said that 28.9 percent of adults are obese, a small but significant jump from 28.7 percent in 2011. Officials were hoping that 2012 would snap the trend. As a result, the CDC found that the nation´s obese population

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
