| New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie said he and Democrat Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo have “a lot of the same values,” but dismissed the notion that he and Cuomo agree on “98 percent of the issues.” Christie was criticized after he was quoted in the Glen Falls New York Chronicle last week, saying, “I’m not much different from Andrew Cuomo. I probably agree with him on 98 percent of the issues.” During a press conference on Tuesday, Feb. 12, Christie implied he was quoted incorrectly, saying he and Gov. Cuomo only share similar backgrounds.

This is what happens when our would-be defenders in the GOP let criminals skip free. Ever and always they return to haunt us, stronger than before.

I wish there were some way we could just kick this back-stabbing fat-boy out of the Republican party once and for all. I seem to notice a trend, the Republican party is being taken over by RINO´s. Unscrupulous individuals say some Conservative things to get elected, then side with the DemocRATs on most issues. I notice that about John McCain lately. One minute he says Conservative things that makes sense, then the next minute he spouts DemocRAT talking points. I think we are suffering under a phony "two-party" system that is in reality a one-party system run by corrupt career politicians. But people keep re-electing the same people over and over.

Or maybe he is the typical NE RINO who will talk the talk in order to get elected, then thumbs his nose at the unwashed folks that elected him. Kind like that toad Brown from...masshole-achussets.

A short while ago, Christie could have criticized Congress for loading that Sandy relief bill with pork, he could have very publicly and with great dignity refused to allow those pigs in DC to use the people of his state like that, and he would have been a great hero - maybe the front-runner for the 2016 nomination. But it´s clear now that he´s not that kind of guy.

With so many scandals in the picture or looming, it’s easy to miss the fact that President Obama may soon become one of the most successful presidents in American history. I’m defining success as fulfilling Obama’s mission of substantially transforming America. The Obama administration scandals matter because, to one degree or another, they involve scandalous conduct. But step back for moment. In 20 years, very few people will remember any of them. By contrast, in 20 years — assuming that Obamacare sticks and Schumer-Rubio style immigration

President Barack Obama said today that there have been no "large scale" terrorist attacks on the United States since he became president. The statement comes less than six weeks after the terrorist attack on the Boston Marathon, which killed 5 people, injured 280 people (including 16 police officers), and forced the city to shut down while police conducted a door-to-door search for the terrorists. “So after I took office, we stepped up the war against al Qaeda but we also sought to change its course,” said Obama at Ft. McNair’s National Defense University in Washington, D.C.

The Boy Scouts of America today voted to lift its longtime ban on admitting gay Scouts but will continue to exclude openly gay adults from leadership roles. The vote by its 1,400 national membership came as no surprise to gay rights advocates, who hailed it as a first step to ending discriminatory practices in the 103-year-old organization. The ruling by secret ballot at a national convention in Dallas means that mothers like Jennifer Tyrrell, who is a lesbian, will still be excluded from the Boy Scouts.

Although White House Chief Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler claims to have learned about the IRS audit scandal only last month, she had three unprecedented one-on-one meetings last year with the Treasury Department’s chief lawyer, who has known about the inspector general’s investigation of the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative nonprofits since at least June 2012. The Treasury lawyer in turn has a long history of extreme left-wing agitation. Christopher J. Meade, Treasury Chief Counsel, met with Ruemmler on September 27th, December 11th, and December 13th, 2012, according to White House Visitor Records requests.

Here, at Fort McNair, Americans have served in uniform since 1791– standing guard in the early days of the Republic, and contemplating the future of warfare here in the 21st century. For over two centuries, the United States has been bound together by founding documents that defined who we are as Americans, and served as our compass through every type of change. Matters of war and peace are no different.

President Barack Obama condemned “in the strongest terms the appalling attack" that killed an off-duty British soldier in a London suburb. “There can be absolutely no justification for such acts, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim, the police and security services responding to this horrific act and the communities they serve, and the British people,” Obama said in a statement the White House released Thursday. Obama also reaffirmed the “special relationship” between the United States and the United Kingdom.

President Obama is using his national security address today to reject the "Global War on Terror." "Beyond Afghanistan, we must define our effort not as a boundless ‘global war on terror’ – but rather as a series of persistent, targeted efforts to dismantle specific networks of violent extremists that threaten America. In many cases, this will involve partnerships with other countries. Thousands of Pakistani soldiers have lost their lives fighting extremists. In Yemen, we are supporting security forces that have reclaimed territory

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state
