| A week from now, a dramatic new federal policy is set to go into effect that threatens U.S. national security, thousands of jobs and more. In a bit of irony, President Obama stood Tuesday with first responders who could lose their jobs if the policy goes into effect. Most Americans are just hearing about this Washington creation for the first time: the sequester. What they might not realize from Mr. Obama´s statements is that it is a product of the president´s own failed leadership. The sequester is a wave of deep spending cuts scheduled to hit on March 1.

Why bother to build a ´straw-man´ if you can´t benefit by burning it down ?
The ´loonie-lefties´ know better than to ever debate the issues.
They know it´s better to massage the message.

This article is a prime example of why the Republicans are in such a mess. No communicaiton skills at all. After reading this article one would never no that sequestration was Obama´s idea. This should have been a point made in the first sentence.

Nice note but not hard hitting enough. Besides. While trying to tell us why he agreed to raise taxes on everyone, we still have too many Repubs trying to tell us what a good idea it is to grant amnesty to 11M lawbreakers. This is why they lose the House in 2014. There truly is no difference between them anymore.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
