| Bias: As of Tuesday, U.S. gasoline prices had increased for 32 straight days. The media, however, aren´t interested. They would be, though, if a Republican — particularly a Bush — were in the White House. According to the American Automobile Association, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline was $3.748 Tuesday, up from $3.730 on Monday and about 15 cents higher than a week ago. A month ago that same gallon cost $3.304 and a year back it was $3.565. It was $1.83 a gallon the day before Obama was first inaugurated.

Silly rabbit, don´t you know only Republican presidents are to blame for gas prices rising? When there are dumbocrats in the WH it´s because of Wall Street speculators and refineries shutting down.

It took us living up here in the NW for me to understand something. It isn´t JUST the media who make excuses for and/or protect Obama. His voters absolutely do not criticize or BLAME this guy or any Democrat for serious messes they create!

Not just gasoline. Just received home heating oil bill with a cost of $4.18 per gallon, or $713 for the 170.5 gallons that were delivered. Covers the last 25 days of heating and hot water.
May spring come early in CT.

As #2 points out, it´s not just the media, it is this country´s largest collection of dumbed-down, barely aware, dope-smoking, self-absorbed, media-influenced, celebrity-obsessed, Food-Stamp wielding, Escalade driving, Kool-Aid drinking, government-dependent, entitlement rich, busted-azz, free-loading, Obamaphone Lo-Fos... gullible, White guilt-ridden, Birkenstock-wearing, bottled-water-drinking, Politically Correct, Xanax-disabled, Valium-dependent, spineless, mindless, Constitution ripping, Flag stomping, Socialist liberal lemmings and two times stupid Obama-voting Honey Boo Boo union slugs. Facts are whatever the complicit knee-pad press feeds them because they are too lazy or too afraid of finding the truth on their own! We are living in an Obamboozled nation as a result.

One of the main reasons I stopped watching ´Bloviator O´Reilly´ was that he said nothing when gas prices sky rocketed under Obama. Under Bush he ranted and raved about oil companies screwing the USA.
I haven´t watched him since 2009.
He is a moderate Dem at best.

I believe contemptible would work. What a disgrace the media is. I really hope they go bankrupt by 2016.

Stinky the Gunrunner could earn universal approbation by opening some federal lands for oil and fast tracking some refinery permits. He isn´t going to do that because it doesn´t make him any money. Oil prices would drop 2 bucks. Stinky the Gunrunner doesn´t care about the poor people it hurts the most. 4 dollar gas means poor people are walking. Stinky just doesn´t think that is important.

This travesty against the little guys will only end when people start to hold politicians personally responsible for the personal devastation to their families from unreasonably high energy prices. There is absolutely no relation between the costs of production and disribution plus a reasonable profit, and current gas prices. The real cause of rip-off gas prices: soccer moms and dads don´t make political contributions, but oil barons and oil cartels do.

Okay, IBD. Evidentally you didn´t get the memo. The Politico guys let the cat outta the bag today.
You can´t report anything bad about our Dear Leader(US) and the mess he´s making in America because it will limit the access that the media folks have to Dear Leader(US) and his wise and historic musings.
Which, by the way, they aren´t getting anyway.

Gas prices reflect the value of our currency. We are headed for a worthless dollar because of the spending of this administration. On the bright side, when the currency crashes and the savage hordes in the cities need some defenseless humans to sacrifice in their camp fires, the urban hipsters who are the media will find it hard to ignore the complete failure of their god´s policies.

Wow, just bought some gas today and couldn´t believe the price was now 4.05/gallon. Talk about sticker shock. But if you listened to the mainstream media, there hasn´t been hardly a peep about the outrageous prices for gas today, now.

It´s just beginning to spin rapidly out of control...just wait until you have to spend eight bucks for a loaf of bread! And ten dollars for it before it goes stale! Germany- 1924---it´s coming and it is not going to be fun- at all! And the media and the LoInfos (the new Zombies) will be delighted so long as the Republicans are blamed---

Junk Science: Despite no evidence that devastating tornadoes have increased in frequency or intensity due to fossil fuel use, another warm-monger blames the Moore, Okla., disaster on GOP "polluters and deniers." Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., thought the devastation of Moore was a crisis that should not be wasted as he took to the Senate floor Monday to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic (man-caused) global warming (known by its acronym, AGW). Other Democratic leaders like Al Gore, who profited handsomely off the manufactured hysteria, and President Obama, who promised the sea level would stop

Free Market: The government has decided that less intervention on its part will be better for economic growth. Is this a new initiative coming out of Washington? No. This is the thinking in Beijing. Under the headline "China Cuts Red Tape As Premier Li Shows Stimulus Reluctance," Bloomberg reported last week that Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, who "pledged to reduce the government´s role in the world´s second biggest economy after a new leadership took over in March," wants to cut red tape and regulation. Bloomberg went on to report that Chinese government "authorities" are "reluctant to use stimulus to counter

Leadership: Is Barack Obama the president or not? If you were visiting from another planet, you´d have to wonder. He says he learns what his government is doing from the news, and seems detached from his role as leader. Let´s take Obama at his word (for now) that he didn´t know his Justice Department was spying on reporters. Or that his IRS agents were targeting his political enemies. Or that al-Qaida was attacking his diplomats — after they´d asked for more protection, which he also didn´t know about. The ignorance and incompetence defense looks just as bad as guilt.

Democratic lawmakers on the Senate Finance Committee said Tuesday the IRS, while engaging in “unacceptable” targeting of conservative groups, may have been set up for failure by campaign finance law ambiguities that allowed tax-exempt groups to engage in partisan politics without disclosing their donors. In the Senate’s first hearing on revelations that the tax agency had targeted tea party and other conservative groups for special scrutiny, Democrats focused largely on the foggy environment that led to the scandal, while minority Republican members of the panel excoriated senior IRS officials

RUSH: It took five minutes. Five minutes. It only took five minutes before the Democrat Party politicized the tornado in Oklahoma. They politicize everything, folks. They rub their hands together in glee when there is a natural disaster that they think they can spin in such a way as to advance their political agenda. If any of you doubt that global warming is a political issue and not a science issue, then you must open your mind and consider why in the world, ask yourself, why in the world, five minutes

The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday afternoon that Lois Lerner, who heads up the Internal Revenue Service´s tax-exempt division, plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in a hearing Wednesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Affairs. The Fifth Amendment provides that U.S. citizens may not be compelled to offer testimony if telling the truth would incriminate them. Lerner´s defense lawyer, William W. Taylor III, wrote to the committee on Tuesday that his client would refuse to answer questions related to what she knew about the extra levels of scrutiny appled to

RUSH: The IRS commissioner, Steven Miller, has just admitted in a Senate hearing this morning, Senate testimony this morning, guess what he´s admitted? The targeting of conservative groups at the IRS was partisan. He said so this morning. Now, I guess the threat of perjury has a way of squeezing the truth out, because it was only last week that Mr. Miller said there was nothing partisan about this. This morning he admitted that targeting conservative groups is partisan. Of course, everybody knew that. The shock was that he said,

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
