| A three-time deportee from the Dominican Republic who’s been charged with trafficking heroin in Massachusetts will be arraigned in federal court today for illegally reentering the United States for a fourth time. Juan Miguel Laboy, who is believed to be 38 or 39 years old, was spotted in Lawrence last month by a special agent from the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, according to court documents. He was traced to an apartment complex in Methuen, where authorities allege he used money orders to pay rent for two units. Laboy was first deported from Louisiana in 2006, and then

Great to see that heroin distributors can travel freely to / from the US, obtain at least 4 different Social Security numbers, obtain a Rhode Island driver´s license with fake name and documents, and establish a sales office in Methuen, Mass. Why do we have thousands of immigration officials, more thousands of TSA inspectors, DEA and numerous other federal agencies when Dominican drug dealers can move so freely in the US? And, why bother deporting this criminal element when they can immediately pass GO and collect millions of dollars by returning to the US to ply their trade?

I thought it was a felony to re enter the US after being deported. Why wasn´t this guy serving time?

Los Angeles County coroner´s officials said Wednesday the body recovered from a fiery, single-car crash in Hollywood that apparently killed journalist Michael Hastings will likely undergo an autopsy Thursday. But an official cause of death and closure of the case is not likely for four to six weeks or perhaps longer, they said. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
