Urinating on your rapist,
Colorado´s HB 1226,and the
#LiberalTips2AvoidRape trend

On Tuesday, #LiberalTips2AvoidRape began trending on Twitter. Here´s the backstory: On Monday, Colorado´s House voted to pass HB 1226, which would prevent anyone—including people with permits—to carry concealed weapons on campuses of public universities. State Rep. Joe Salazar came under fire for statements he made during the debate over the bill, which indicated that he felt that fear of rape on campus should not be the motivating factor for the House to vote against the bill. “It’s why we have call boxes, it’s why we have safe zones, it’s why we have the whistles," Salazar said.

Geez, Akin and Mourdock were castigated for making stupid remarks about rape and now this creep does it too and nobody blinks an eye.

Note to all women: If you`re being raped don`t try to defend yourself with a gun, you might end up in jail. Better to just take it......./sss

FTA: Three Democrats broke rank and voted against it.

To use an worn out sports cliche, the game wasn´t as close as the score indicated. The three democrats who "broke rank" and voted no had permission from their democrat leadership. If their votes were needed for passage, they would have voted yes, which is how they wanted to vote, but didn´t because of a political price to be paid.

#17, when dealing with a rapist I would think the smart place to aim would be a bit lower then the face. A higher percentage shot.

Its OK to pee on him. Just remember to shoot him first.

What we have here is a MAN working to keep women unarmed and vulnerable.

Along with relegating women to whistles, call boxes and safe zones, Joe Salazar should come right out and say what he´s obviously getting at: Women who go out in public without a male should be prepared to run for their lives. As Joe said himself, he´s worried armed women just might "pop off a couple rounds" and hurt innocent man, and we can´t have that.

What happens when a small 5 ft. woman encounters a 6 ft. 250 pound guy in a bad mood ? When he gets through with her, does Salazar think she can crawl to the call box or blow a whistle ?

In an op-ed published in the Boston Globe on Easter Sunday and posted on the State Department website, Secretary of State John Kerry recalled his days as an altar boy and pointed out that he is “the first Catholic Secretary of State in 33 years.” Alexander Haig, who served as secretary of state to President Ronald Reagan from January 1981 to July 1982, was also a Catholic. Last month, I traveled to Rome with President Obama, where I was honored to meet His Holiness Pope Francis,” said Kerry. “As an altar boy six decades ago, I never imagined that I

The Obamas’ motorcade left the White House shortly before 10 a.m. (Snip) The motorcade pulled up to the church, about four miles away, just after 10. The first family arrived through a tented entrance and sat in the second pew in a mostly, but not completely filled church, joining an estimated 250 others. The president wore a light khaki suit. CLEARWATER — In the mid-1970s, Wayne Phillips saw a television program telling the story of the Shroud of Turin, a centuries-old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man. At first, he was miffed. Years of Catholic schooling — Jesuit High School in Tampa and Notre Dame University — and he had never known about this artifact? (He would later learn that it was a delicate subject at the Vatican.) A doctor, he has a curious mind. A mind shaped by logic and by science. But as a Catholic, he understands some beliefs are still a mystery. He

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after
