Michelle Obama and her daughters spent Presidents Day weekend enjoying private lessons with numerous instructors at a top skiing resort in Aspen, Colorado, it has emerged. The Obama girls, shadowed by security, enjoyed the hospitality of wealthy Democratic donors Jim and Paula Crown - and angered other visitors by shutting airspace so they could land their plane. Their trip came as President Obama golfed with Tiger Woods in Florida - a day out that was kept under wraps from the public and the media despite the taxpayer

Ahh yes, it´s so nice to be Queen! What would the media do Laura Bush had done this? We know. These two grifters have more than they ever imagined was possible and they are taking every single advantage of it.

Such an inconvenience to all the billionaires flying in to Aspen. They had to go to Eagle where the commercial jets landed....

This is a national holiday weekend. Big ski weekend. Leave it to Madam Queen to have to be there then and jam up the GA airport. And the slopes. You know that no one was allowed near her.

She looks awkward and ill-at-ease in these photos. Most people do not take up skiing when they are almost 50. And bits of two days a year? Be serious. Showboating.

She does this because she can. A gigantic middle finger to the rest of the country.

As per Animal Farm, the pigs now occupy the farm house and are walking on their hind legs.

Unfortunately, in this day and age, precious few of the younger generations would understand the reference.

Laura Bush did take separate trips with girlfriends and with the daughters. They certainly involved government planes and expenses. I know she also took a separate plane back home after traveling with George and staying on in the foreign country sometimes. Remember reading it, but no one tracked the Bush expenses like they do the Obamas.

Ah, yes. The Mooch on a "slope" noted last year when the first two photos were taken. Someone in the media seems to have cut the second photo on a slant (note the trees leaning forward to the left) to indicate the Mooch was skiing on a more difficult slope. Or do trees grow that way in Aspen? Hmmm. Perhaps someone moved the mountain for her.

That´s because we weren´t in a depression then, gas was $1.89, unemployment was 4.5 percent and food and utilities cost a fraction of what they do now. IOW, people weren´t hurting like they are now, until the dims took over congress in 2007, that is.

Obama administration’s ‘Culture of

Sending scores of armed agents along with helicopters and dogs to confront an elderly Nevada rancher over grazing fees may seem like overkill, but critics say it’s not inconsistent with the federal government’s recent approach to environmental enforcement. The simmering truce between the Bundys and the Bureau of Land Management comes after high-profile raids last year by armed federal agents on small-time gold miners in tiny Chicken, Alaska, and guitar makers at the Gibson Guitar facilities in Tennessee. That doesn’t include more subtle threats, such as recent efforts by the Obama administration to raise grazing fees or pressure

Rep. Joe Garcia (D-Fla.) is among the Democrats pressing Congress to take up immigration reform. On Tuesday, he told a conference call that deportations are breaking families apart and leaving children in foster care. "So the human toll has been horrific. This president, by implementation of existing law, has been forced to deport a huge number of Americans." Although Garcia may consider the deportees to be "Americans," legally they are not. But they might become citizens if Garcia and other immigration advocates get their way. Democrats are urging Republicans to sign their discharge petition, which would force a House vote on

Key members of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform expressed outrage at revelations made in newly released emails showing ex-IRS official Lois Lerner coordinating with the Department of Justice on prosecuting nonprofit groups. One committee member said the emails prove why the IRS is “scared to give up the rest of Lois Lerner’s emails.” IRS commissioner John Koskinen was recently threatened with contempt for stonewalling the committee’s investigation. Koskinen claimed in a hearing that it could take years to provide the documents requested by Oversight. “The release of new documents

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Thank God for Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration J. Russell George. His investigation of what turned out to be the IRS abuse scandal may well have saved the Constitution and the nation. For his fair and impartial investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s abuse of Americans who dissent from President Obama’s agenda, Democrats have called for an investigation of him. George should not be investigated, but perhaps the Democrats who want him investigated — Reps. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Matt Cartwright (D-PA) — should be. Their call for an investigation of the investigator might constitute interference with the ongoing investigation

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you
