| The United States Department of Agriculture has been working to dispel immigrants’ concerns that getting on Food Stamps will harm their chances of becoming U.S. citizens. The USDA addresses those fears in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamp, brochures it distributes to Mexican consulates as part of its “partnership” with the Mexican government “to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance.” In one portion of the brochure, USDA’s text asks, “If I get on SNAP benefits, will I be a “public charge?’”

Comments: Why is the United States government advertising welfare benefits to non-citizens? This is so insane...We are in debt up to our heads and we are pushing for more people to get in the wagon while the diminishing minority pull. Unreal.

Since only right-wing hate mongers think this is a bad thing, the rest of the population that gets their news via the LSM or left wing propaganda machine will never hear about it, or agree with it.

I have a friend who´s a cashier for a major supermarket chain here in New Jersey.
Food stamps or WIC, Family First, and EBT cards are essentially all the same.
According to my friend, people buy fillets, lobster, king crab legs, and angus beef. Meanwhile, my friend works a full time job for this supermarket chain, and cannot afford to eat that well.
People who have just returned from vacation, pay for their groceries with an EBT card. The market where she works is located in an upscale neighborhood. She said that 90% of their business is made up of the WIC, Family First and EBT cards. Something is very wrong.
As for the illegals, she said that very few speak English, and yet they present their WIC blue print out and pay for their taxpayer funded items with a WIC check. This usually amounts to less than one hundred dollars. She said they pay for the rest of their groceries with cash, to the sum of more than $250.00. If illegals can afford to spend this amount in cash, why do they need taxpayer funded groceries?
Who is responsible for making sure people are not defrauding taxpayers???

And citizens who temporarily fall on hard times do not get any (or very little) assistance even when they are desperate. Only illegals and professional scammers get the most help.

My daughter, with two degrees, is working as a bank teller. And as such, makes too much for food stamps. But she has people come in on welfare asking for car loans.

Sometimes a woman on WIC gets more milk and baby food than she can possibly use. She sells what her own child can´t use. Then, when her own child ages out, she got pregnant with another, so she could keep the WIC gravy train, and whatever other benefits, coming.

Cut the food stamps and other freebies and that´s when the burning and rioting starts. Perhaps that´s why the DHS is stocking up.

# 2 they can only buy luxury items like that if they are uncooked.
Citizen child translation: Anchor baby aka gold card. Then everybody in the household is eligible.
If you have not read the food assistance app online for your state, you are missing out.

If you think welfare doesn´t cost taxpayers much, wait until they get citizenship and bring all their relatives in to join the welfare parade.

Government benefits aren´t meant for Caucasians.Because of white privledge, you should be able to make it on your own. there´s a sizable movement in colleges now to shame white people because of their race and having a leg up on their competition.
The left has spent trillions of dollars trying to equalize things and it simply hasn´t worked.Poverty and hunger are as bad as ever even with the government begging people to get "nutrition" assistance. Of course those nutritious foods include fried chicken and cheetos.
If the left was really serious about obesity, they would ban certain foods from the food stamp parade.Their war on obesity really is a lead up to the government taking over the food supply.
Then they always throw the red herring out there, blaming poverty obesity to the lack of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Food, clothing and shelter are the 3 basic necessities of life. When the government fills those needs,it kills the ambition of the recipients and makes them happy being government dependents. You only obligation is to vote every 2 or 4 years.

Long before the Internal Revenue Service revealed it had improperly targeted conservative 501(c)(4) groups, a group of Democratic senators led by New York Sen. Chuck Schumer urged the IRS to do just that. The IRS’s admission last Friday that it had singled out tea party and other groups for extra audits and delays has raised concerns that President Barack Obama’s administration quietly attempted to stymy opponents through intimidation. But many prominent Democrats — including Montana Sen. Max Baucus, Americans United for the Separation of Church and State and the New York Times editorial board — had been

On Hugh Hewitt’s Thursday night program, National Review columnist Mark Steyn explained why the Obama administration’s response to last September’s terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was so appalling.“They let him die, and then told lies over his coffin,” he told fill-in host Guy Benson. Steyn said that the late U.S. ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was a true believer of President Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s view of the Arab Spring, that it was a positive movement and was trying to make the best of it. On Aaron Klein’s weekend show on New York City’s WABC radio, Oklahoma Republican Sen. James Inhofe accused the Obama administration of buying up ammunition at an unprecedented level to bypass the Second Amendment so gun-owners “can’t even buy ammunition because government is purchasing so much.” “Let’s make sure that your audience out there is aware, Aaron, that our president, Obama, has been doing everything he could to stop the private ownership of guns in America,” Inhofe said. “You know that, everyone knows that. And yet he’s been voted down in a big way by a large majority.

On Thursday night’s edition of "The O’Reilly Factor" on the Fox News Channel, host Bill Bill O’Reilly and former Clinton campaign adviser James Carville debated whether liberals have been pushed further to left by activists and various media factions. O’Reilly pointed to Wednesday’s May Day protest in Seattle as one piece of evidence. He also pinned the blame on MSNBC, arguing that his employer’s cable news rival is “putting forth” a far left ideology. Carville disagreed and said the hosts on MSNBC network, including Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski do not hold views of the far left.

During a Senate hearing on immigration reform Tuesday, Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano had a testy back-and-forth over the performance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. Sessions challenged Napolitano on whether she had met with leader of the ICE employees’ union in the wake of reports of low morale among ICE agents. Napolitano replied that she had not. “I think you should have met with them,” Sessions said. “I think there’s a real problem there. We have a very real problem. On Monday’s episode of Fox News Channel’s “The Five,” Greg Gutfeld sounded off on those who have made it their primary focus to understand the motivations behind Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s alleged decision to place a bomb at the site of the Boston Marathon. “After every terror attack each motive shall be discussed, but one,” Gutfeld said. “It is the terror that dares not speak its name. Well, actually it does speak. Our media just won’t hear it. Instead we explore the pain of the poor thugs. Which could be why some terrorists get movies made by Robert Redford

The National Rifle Association hasn’t received much in the way of favorable coverage from MSNBC recently. But on Wednesday’s “The Last Word,” host Lawrence O’Donnell took that unfavorable coverage to the next level by blaming the NRA for law enforcement’s inability to track down the perpetrator of Monday’s terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon. O’Donnell made the statement during the opening of his show. He also blamed the gun-rights organization for the failure of legislation in the U.S. Senate that would enhance background checks for gun purchases. “Today the gun lobbyists at the NRA

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
