Michigan to issue driver´s
licenses to immigrants

Lansing — Illegal immigrants brought to the country as children can start applying for Michigan driver´s licenses and state IDs this week. Secretary of State Ruth Johnson´s office will begin accepting applications Tuesday. President Barack Obama last year announced a policy letting illegal immigrants apply for temporary work permits if they were brought to the U.S. as children. But a small number of states, including Michigan, resisted allowing those immigrants to have driver´s licenses. Johnson, a Republican, changed her mind recently after the Obama administration clarified the younger immigrants´ legal status. To be eligible, immigrants must prove they arrived in the U.S.

Comments:
Good move. "Immigrants" will check the Cloward-Piven-Clinton box saying they are eligible to vote, and presto, no more Republicans in Michigan. As if by design.

The AP forgot the word "illegal" in the title.

To be eligible, immigrants must prove they arrived in the U.S. before they turned 16, are 30 or younger, have been living in the country at least five years and are in school, have graduated or served in the military.

How about including knowing how to drive.

Drip-drip-drip. The Lefties continue to try to wear us out on this vital issue. Where is the leadership, the people ready and willing to uphold the law? Certainly not in Michigan.

Only a temporary, restricted license should be granted after a $500 driver´s ed course, $2000 for one year of auto insurance, and having passed the DMV test, the license thereafter sent registerd mail to the de facto driver.

Extra fees should be incurred for non-citizens, and if someone is here illegally then they should get another fine on top of the extra fee. They should also go into a separate database of illegal immigrants.

But watch, as soon as they push through DLs for illegals, the Dems will be just fine with voter ID laws.

How are they going prove anything...they do not even speak English and if they do it is very broken. And as easy it is to get fake passports and BCs, it is also that easy to get all the other docs faked.

I have no doubt by the time BO leaves office, virtual, universal citizenship status and voting rights will be available to anyone who enters this country legally or illegally and whether they are here legally, visitor Visa, student Visa, workers´ permit, etc. or illegally crawl or swim accross the borders. Preferrable status will be given to those with no education, means of support or family = Instant Democrat voter; or Muslim/Arab with ties to Saudi money (terrorism status no longer relevant as BO says that the War on Terror has been won and is over).

By 2016, native born whites in most major large cities will be a serious minority with completely diluted voting ability. And, no...his is not a racist observation...it is a statistical certainty.

All states issue drivers´ licenses to "immigrants."

Some states issue licenses to illegal aliens, pretending law abiding immigrants and illegal aliens are one and the same. They´re not. Legal immigrants enter the US with permission. Illegal aliens do not. Illegal aliens are here without our permission. They don´t belong here, and are a burden to this nation.

A whole new voting block just opened up, and without even having to provide the politically-charged amnesty!
Wow, what a country!

But-do they have to buy insurance ?
That will require another donation from taxpayers.

A hotly contested gun-control law that was passed in 2007 is finally ready to be implemented, Attorney General Kamala Harris said Friday: a requirement that every new semiautomatic handgun contain "micro-stamping" technology that would allow police to trace a weapon from cartridges found at a crime scene. The law, signed by then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, made California the first state to require micro-stamping, which engraves the gun´s serial number on each cartridge. A second ´house of horrors´ abortion clinic is being investigated in Texas, just days after Dr Kermit Gosnell was found guilty of murdering newborns at his Philadelphia termination center. Houston doctor Douglas Karpen is accused by four former employees of delivering live fetuses during third-trimester abortions and killing them by either snipping their spinal cord, stabbing a surgical instrument into their heads or ´twisting their heads off their necks with his own bare hands´. Other times the fetus was so big he would have to pull it out of the womb in pieces, Karpen´s ex-assistant, Deborah Edge, said

President Francois Hollande will decide by the end of July whether France should impose new taxes on technology giants like Apple and Google to finance cultural projects, a move that could feed into an anti-business image days after a spat with Yahoo!. The Socialist government asked former Canal Plus CEO Pierre Lescure to find new ways of funding culture during an economic downturn, in line with France´s "cultural exception" argument that such projects must be shielded from market forces. While far from becoming laws, the proposals could worsen tension between France and technology giants after Industry Minister Arnaud Montebourg

Montgomery, Alabama – Acting state Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy Worley lowered her head and slowly shook it side to side when summing up the financial condition of her once powerful party. "We´re broke, broke, broke," Worley told the party´s Executive Board in a special called meeting Frida. How broke is broke? Worley didn´t sugar coat the answer. "This is my 18th day as chair and thirty minutes after I took over on April 22nd the landlord of the building where our party headquarters are came in and said he wanted us out, that the rent was overdue and was always overdue,"

Trenton — Police officials are examining the response to a 911 call Sunday night that left a city man struggling with an intruder at his building without any officers arriving. Dan Dodson said it was 20 or 30 minutes before two officers eventually arrived in response to his wife’s calls to police telephone numbers. “We’re looking into it to determine if the proper protocols were followed,” Lt. Steve Varn said yesterday evening. Yesterday, Dodson said he was deciding where to buy a baseball bat in case someone else was able to slip into his home. He believes one of the two

The Internal Revenue Service relies on technology more than ever to sniff out tax cheats using robo-audits and data mining—but so far it has caught lot of minnows, and big fish are still eluding detection. Even as millions of people´s accounts are screened online and matched against their digital files elsewhere, the IRS´s data-detection tools come nowhere close to collecting the $400 billion in tax dodges estimated to take place each year. Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
