What do Americans fear most? When it comes to America´s international security interests, the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs are deemed most threatening, according to a new survey from Gallup. Americans were giving a list of nine developments and asked to rank them from more to less critical. Here are the top five threats Americans say are most critical: 1. The nuclear programs of Iran and North Korea (tied for first) - 2. International terrorism - 3. Islamic fundamentalism - 4. The economic power of China - 5. The military power of China

None of these would have made my top five. First, Democrats, second, Congress, third SCOTUS, fourth goobernment bureaucrats, fifth, my fellow citizens. All these pose a real and consistent threat to liberty and pursuit of happiness. We can survive nuclear strikes for dictator countries but we can´t survive the fascist/socialist assault from those within our country that desires to protect us from the consequences of personal choice.

It looks to me like they left a few options off the list like:

- Obama´s purposeful destruction of the US economy
- The purposful devaluation of the US dollar
- The rapid decline of US hegemony on the world stage
- The encroaching statism and attendant loss of personal freedom
- Etc, etc & etc

I am way-more concerned about a whole host of issues than those options given the surveyee´s.

What? when did we ever start to "Fear" those five things? Everyone I know have their "Fear Focus" a lot closer to home- mainly we fear the "New Brown shirts" at so-called Home Land Security, We fear a leftist take over of our government and the destruction of our Constitutional Freedoms and we fear a destruction of our history and heritage by the leftists here at home. Our enemy is Øbama and his minions! Not some innocuous foreign mystery intrigues.

Here´s my list:

#1-4 ... a populace that would vote for Obama and give us a dimocrat senate.

#5 an electronic voting system with no audit trail which enables not-so close elections to go to the dimocrats without a trace of fraud.

#1-100...Anti-American liberals living and allegedly working in America.

Please pardon my redundancy.

#1 The destruction of the Constitutional Republic.

Everything else is secondary..........

North Korea should not be included. One attempted nuclear attack on our country should be an excuse for us to destroy their ignorant leadership forever.

The New Map of the Middle East

The most appropriate image of the present-day Middle East is the medieval map, which, in the words of the late historian Albert Hourani, depicts an age when "frontiers were not clearly and precisely delimited" and the influence of a regime was not uniform "within a fixed and generally recognized area," but, rather, grew weaker with distance as it radiated outward from an urban core. Legal borders, where the power of one state suddenly ended and that of another suddenly began, were rare. And thus, Hourani was not the only scholar to point this out.

Today, in an age that often seems of pragmatism and managerial-ism in politics, if there is a way not just to honor the late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher´s memory but to continue her legacy it should be to encourage and praise those rare individuals who are willing to buck such trends. In Canada recently, I have had an opportunity to reflect on the perhaps surprising fact (also surprising to many Canadians) that in recent years Canada has shown itself to be a home to convictions which ennoble the present and can stand proud before history. THE Korean Peninsula is closer to military conflict than at any time since 1994. Beyond his wild rhetoric threatening nuclear war, the North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-un, has taken two of the most extreme actions open to him. He has decided to re-start his five megawatt nuclear reactor at Yongbyon. And he has banned South Koreans from entering the joint industrial zone in Kaesong which is responsible for much of the hard currency Pyongyang gets.Meanwhile, he is provoking tough reactions in Washington and Seoul. US Secretary of State John Kerry declared the US will not accept a nuclear-armed North Korea.

Europe´s New Export: Jihadists

More than 1,000 Muslims from across Europe are currently active as Islamic jihadists, or holy warriors, in Syria, which has replaced Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia as the main destination for militant Islamists seeking to obtain immediate combat experience with little or no official scrutiny. As the number of European jihadists in Syria grows, European officials are beginning to express concerns about the threat these "enemies within" will pose when they return to Europe. In Britain, for example, Foreign Secretary William Hague recently said, "Syria is now the number one destination

The Countries Arming the World

The famed Prussian strategist Carl von Clausewitz observed that war is the continuation of politics by other means. He could just as easily have referred to arms sales. The global arms trade is brisk. For the sellers, it´s a means to curry favor with strategic partners and to fatten the bottom lines of domestic arms merchants. For the buyers, it provides access to top-shelf technology that´s unobtainable through domestic production. These are the countries leading the pack.

As a connoisseur of revolutionary processes, Leon Trotsky asserted that a revolution seems impossible until it becomes inevitable. As a matter of fact, this is what happened in Venezuela in 1998, when Hugo Chávez assumed power after winning a presidential election.Until then, Venezuela was living in what could be called a "soft democracy." People used to go periodically to the ballots, choosing largely between the two leading, traditional parties.

While President Obama came to office promising to restore the world´s image of America, the polling firm Gallup has found a steady decline in the world´s view of American leadership. Today, America´s median approval stands at 41 percent, down from 49 percent during President Obama´s first year in office. Nonetheless, global views on U.S. leadership have rebounded since 2008, and several countries in particular have expressed strong approval for U.S. leadership, according to Gallup. These are the five most pro-American countries.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

There’s really no reason for the press to suggest that the recent slew of scandals involving the Obama administration — Benghazi, the AP phone-record seizure, the snooping in James Rosen’s e-mail, the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups, and so on — are a confusing jumble. There is a very clear thread running through all of the administration’s actions: The U.S. deputy chief of mission in Libya, Gregory Hicks, says that he was told not to speak to a member of Congress about Benghazi without a State Department lawyer present, that he received a phone call from Hillary Clinton’s
