How O can help dems
take the House

New York Post, by Michael Barone

Original Article

President Obama has said that he wants to help Democrats win back a majority in the House of Representatives. He says he looks forward to Nancy Pelosi being speaker again. If he does work hard to elect House Democrats, it will be a change from 2010 and 2012, when he didn’t do much at all for them. But let’s say he does. What are the chances of success? Certainly not zero. Democrats need to gain 17 seats to win a House majority of 218. That’s fewer than the number of seats that changed party in 2006, 2008 and 2010.

Good grief the thought of Pelosi being speaker of the house again makes my skin crawl.

Just the thought of the Democrats taking the House ruined my day. With all the voter fraud and the msm kissing Obama´s backside it could easily happen, Then the real "fundamentally change" America will happen and what he does with a majority in both houses of Congress will destroy this country as founded forever. Look out gun confiscation, drone strikes, immediate amnesty with voting rights etc.

O has lots of help from certain so called conservative loudmouths who spend most of their time bashing republicans.

While I have always respected Barone and his warnings should be heeded, this seems like lot of chicken little hand wringing. We have to look at the loss of 5 seats by the Republicans in ´12, more closely.
Every lefty ´journolist´ has exploited it as evidence that the Republican Party is losing relevance, drifting to the extreme right and will soon go over the cliff. But the Democrat gain comes from ten seats gained in Illinois and California redistricting. The Republicans actually gained five seats in the rest of the 48 (or 55 take your pick) states. This manna is not available to Pelosi any more. Every House Republican has been returned with a margin greater than Zippy.
While due caution and vigilance is required IMO there is no reason for unnecessary alarm here.

Actually #4 - zippy is getting a lot of help from Republicans who vote and act more like Democrats than Republicans. I´m certain it´s time for my RINO to go, and I´ll vote for the Dem next time. Sadly, the net result will be the same, other than at least the Dem will be honest up front how they are voting.

If the Democrats think Obama is going to lift a finger beyond a little window dressing for PR´s sake to help Democrats win the House, they all have a big suprise coming.

He didn´t do it in 2010 or 2012 and is setting up his Obama for America whatever it is for his future, so why will he change.

Besides, after 2017, he´s on his own for golf trips.

What happens when you factor in the sure fiascoes connected to Obama Care implementation that is sure to be well underway before the 2014 election?

#6, now is the time to help get a conservative going for the primary - so you have a clear choice between the libtard and a conservative.

Hopefully the pubbies are working now in the swing states they control to get voter id in place, line up vote fraud observers (and protect them from getting kicked out) and move to award an electoral college elector for each district based on how the district votes - neutralizing any cheating the libtards manage in their pest hole cities.

Fortunately the gerrymandering of districts to assure the election of racial minorities has left lots of districts with solid Republican majorities. The House will be forever Republican.

There is obamacare coming on line, stagnant GDP, record chronic unemployment, and rising gas & food prices. Another catastrophe in waiting is the weak sisters Kerry & Hagle at state & defense.
If America was of the fabric of citizens that propelled it to the world´s superpower it once was, this article would not even be printed, and barry would have been decimated. Now, who knows? Since November, I have come to the conclusion that we´re trying to save something that only exists in our memory.

The headline in the National Review, same article, is: ~~Will the House Go Democratic?~~

Let us all work to make that NOT happen.

Federal investigators apparently accessed records of calls to and from a phone number at Fox News Channel in their leak investigation of a former State Department contractor, according to a court document. News of the government´s search of Fox News phone records comes after controversy broke out last week over a separate leak investigation in which prosecutors seized the call details of roughly 20 phone numbers of reporters and editors at the Associated Press. Former government contractor Stephen Kim has been charged in federal court with leaking an intelligence report about North Korea in 2009

Vice President Joe Biden ribbed President Obama over his teleprompter use at a Jewish American Heritage Month reception in New York City on Tuesday.Biden asked that the teleprompter in the room be taken down before his address, according to the pool report. “You can’t tell Barack that the teleprompter’s down,” Biden said. “The standing joke in the office is Barack’s learning to speak without a teleprompter, I’m learning to speak with one. I apologize for the teleprompter.” Republicans have long criticized President Obama for his reliance on a teleprompter, often needling him for reading from prepared remarks rather than

These are historic and troubling times. The unprecedented and brazen efforts by high-ranking elements within the Obama administration to silence whistleblowers and intimidate any reporters that would speak with them have starkly framed the choice the political press now faces. The administration has thrown the gauntlet down before the media with their display of abject disregard for the watchdog Fourth Estate. To the White House’s chagrin, the media will respond. In a two-fold assault on the freedom of the press, President Barack Obama’s Department of Justice has been implicated in efforts designed to intimidate both the press and

WASHINGTON — The Justice Department says it hasn´t prosecuted journalists for obtaining or publishing classified information and has no plans to. But open government and journalism advocates say the aggressive investigations of classified leaks by government officials under the Obama administration´s watch are having a chilling effect on news organizations´ ability to play a watchdog role. The renewed criticism of the Obama administration comes after new revelations that federal authorities secretly obtained the e-mails and tracked the movements of Fox News reporter James Rosen

The Senate Judiciary Committee’s passage of a sweeping immigration bill was expected. But the explosion of chants of “Yes we can! Yes we can!” and “Leahy! Leahy!” came as a surprise. The “Gang of Eight” bill passed by a wide 13-5 margin early Tuesday evening. Amid the cheering, Democratic committee chairman Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont could be seen motioning spectators to come up and participate in the celebration. The “Yes we can” chant was made popular by then-Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama in his 2008 presidential run.

The White House’s explanation of what it knew about the investigation into the IRS’s scrutiny of conservative political groups and how it planned for the eventual release of that information shifted once again Tuesday. Just a day after telling reporters that chief of staff Denis McDonough and other senior White House staff learned of the situation nearly a month ago, press secretary Jay Carney revealed Tuesday that White House officials had consulted with the Treasury Department on how to make the findings public.(Snip) Carney said he hadn’t revealed more information about which officials

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

U.S. Sen. John McCain bucked the party line coming from many of his fellow conservatives this morning, saying suggestions that compare the trio of scandals gripping the White House to Watergate are “overreaching.” “I think it’s overreaching. We need a full and complete investigation and then we will decide the dimensions of it,” said McCain while campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Gabriel Gomez in Dorchester. “It is terrible but we have to have a full investigation before we leap to conclusions.” The maverick’s caution is a sharp contrast to the response of many Republicans
