| A federal program that provides food for low-income women and their children is so badly mismanaged in Georgia that state taxpayers could be slammed with a $20 million penalty. Systemic problems in the Women, Infants and Children nutritional program, commonly know as WIC, have allowed stores to charge the government outrageous prices for basic commodities such as milk, according to a review of state and federal records by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The situation is so dire that federal officials want Georgia to stop approving new stores as WIC vendors until the state gets its act together.

Like Food Stamp program, WIC is funded with federal tax dollars, but compliance enforcement is left up to the states. So, "as if by design," states don´t bother with enforcement and the taxpayer is robbed so as to ensure a solid Democrat voting bloc.

The state taxpayers did not mismanage the program. The ´´folks´´ (to coin a Presidential word) who ran the program should be on the hook for the $20 million penalty. So as it´s a federal program, that would be the feds. And no, the federal taxpayers did not mismanage the program either.

End the entire welfare/entitlement state. I support NONE of these programs. I don´t support Social Security - let me have the 15% of my salary that is paid into that system. I can get a better rate of return investing that money on my own. I don´t support WIC or EBT or SNAP - it just subsidizes bad behavior and laziness. End all of it. We can run a surplus in the federal budget in no time.

It shouldn´t take a rocket scintist to figure out which stores did the pricab gouging.Track them dow,slapthem with a hefty fine and use that money to cover the shortfall.
The new age of criminality under Obama encompasses stealing as much from the government as you can get."I can´t do reparations with this congress,so help yourself to them when you can".
My daughter worked for the IRS in Fl. and could spot an identity theft claim in 5 seconds. The boss just told her to shut up and process the return.A lot of the refunds went to banks in Nigeria but no red flags for the government overseers.
the fact that Obama doesn´t care about this kind of stuff is precisely why the lofos love him.

Mobile - U.S. Rep. Jo Bonner, R-Mobile, confirmed today that he intends to resign from Congress later this year and take a job at the University of Alabama. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi.
