Ryan: Obama Immigration
Proposal ‘Counterproductive,’
‘Wrong Direction’

This morning, Representative Paul Ryan had no kind words for the president’s proposed immigration legislation and the White House’s decision to leak it yesterday. He explained that “leaking this out sets things in the wrong direction,” “makes [immigration reform] that much more difficult.” The congressman laid out his criticism in blunt terms, saying that the question from the beginning on this immigration debate has been, “Is the president looking for partisan advantage, or a bipartisan law?” The White House’s release of its own plan at this time

Yea, Obama´s plan gives preferential treatment to those who snuck in or overstayed visas, over those who played by the lawful immigration rules. Real smart, smart guy. Whatta never ending nightmare this character is!? In a word, a demagogue... Big time.

The liberal Democrats want their "path to citizenship" amnesty to apply to just about all illegal aliens, even illegal aliens who arrived yesterday. If such an amnesty were passed it would take years for the immigration service authorities to document and process 11 to 20 million illegal aliens.

When that was happening millions of new illegal aliens would be arriving and would fraudulently claim that they were here when the amnesty was passed and are thus eligible for a "path to citizenship". Such an open ended amnesty would breed mass fraud, that the liberal Democrats would ignore by "streamlining" the amnesty processing, for all intents and purposes, to the point where just about all applications would be approved.

During that process you can also bet that the liberal Democrats will put in provisions that include a very liberal advance voter registration procedure whereby the legalized aliens can vote when that time comes.

You can´t trust that liberal Democrats on this issue, just as happened back in 1986, any amnesty that they pass will give the millions of illegal aliens here now an immigration status that cannot be revoked, while promising all sorts of new enforcement protocols that will not be scheduled for implementation for years, that they will then fight to sabotage and water down in Congress, in the courts, and administratively. the Republicans would have to be suckers to go along to get along with the liberal Democrats on such a bogus amnesty.

Any immigration bill the Democrats would approve of would be so lenient it might as well be called the Bankrupt the Border States Act.

Republicans´ once seemingly nightmare visions of waves of immigrants pouring across our borders and descending en masse on hospitals, emergency rooms, and other social services, causing wide-scale destruction, have become a reality.

A few more years of this and the entire State of California will begin to look like a bad night in Tiajuana, yet Obama and the Democrats in Washington can´t wait to make this dire situation even worse.

That ego of his tells him to get front and center of anything that the Republicans try to do. The pitiful taker does not have any ideas of his own that he has to steal the limelight of the doers!

Bottom line, this issue has turned into a political football.

The liberal TV talking head Mark Shields is charging that the Republicans are committing political suicide by fighting a liberal Democrat amnesty for 11-20 million illegal aliens. If that were true why would a liberal like Shields care, and why would he be alerting the Republicans of their demise if they fail to to along to get along with the liberal Democrats on amnesty?

Of course Shield´s charge is bogus, as what would send the Republicans onto political oblivion was them going along with any liberal Democrat "path to citizenship" amnesty that eventually hands the liberal Democrats 10 million new foreign born voters.

Social Security stops trying

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

Despite promises to the contrary, it appears that State Senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) voted on bills that affect her clients and favorably impact the bottom line of her law firm. “I have never done anything in a way that represents a conflict in my voting and something that would benefit me personally,” she said in an interview, but state records seem to tell a different story. The Dallas Morning News´ Senior Political Writer Wayne Slater (DMN) reported that Davis supported legislation governing a toll road project. That would be all well and good except for the fact that the

Democrats Lose Two More Special

Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

Washington Post, by Wesley Lowery    Original Article

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. In promoting legislation that would extend unemployment benefits, increase the minimum wage and promote equal pay for women, the Democrats have declared themselves the party that will ensure a “fair shot” for all. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

On a trip to Moscow early in her tenure as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton played the role of international saleswoman, pressing Russian government officials to sign a multibillion-dollar deal to buy dozens of aircraft from Boeing. A month later, Clinton was in China, where she jubilantly announced that the aerospace giant would be writing a generous check to help resuscitate floundering U.S. efforts to host a pavilion at the upcoming World’s Fair. Boeing, she said, “has just agreed to double its contribution to $2 million.” Clinton did not point out that, to secure the donation, the State Department

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Three people were shot and killed Sunday afternoon in suburban Kansas City, and a spokeswoman for a local hospital said a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition. Overland Park city spokesman Sean Reilly says two people died at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom, which is a retirement community that is several blocks away from the center. Overland Park Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes said Sunday afternoon that one person of interest is in custody. The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City in Overland Park

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it
