Jackson Jr.´s downfall tied
to objects, not power

CHICAGO— For all the talk of Jesse Jackson Jr. aspiring to be a U.S. senator or mayor of the nation´s third-largest city, his career wasn´t ended by attempts to amass political power. Instead, it was the former congressman´s desire for flashy items — a gold-plated Rolex watch, furs and collectibles, such as Eddie Van Halen´s guitar. In a state where stop-at-nothing political ambition has been well documented — and often rewarded — the seemingly frivolous cause of Jackson´s undoing is seen by political observers and at least one former colleague as both nonsensical and sad.

If his Rolex was gold-plated, I assume he bought it on the South Side from a brother in a bow tie also selling bean pies.

Pure hogwash...JJJ´s outing over the affair, the bling, and the downfall of his wife are the direct results of his efforts to get a seat at the Big-Boy table, where he was most definitely not welcome. To the white limousine liberals that run Chicago, he is nothing but the son of one of the overseers of their vote plantation, a pawn that they secretly despised. One of the hired help daring to rise above his station was a intolerable insult...actually getting elected Mayor would be a lethal threat to their power, not to mention their rackets when JJJ began the process of Detroitifaction.

His wife, serving on the Chicago city council, was earning nearly 100,000 dollars a year, and yet he tried to get her an appointent through Blago to the Illinois Lottery commission, which would have yielded her another 100,000 plus per year.
And a 43,000 dollar rolex is not gold plated. It is solid gold, with a diamond bezel.

Rubbish.
He was never qualified or sufficiently educated for the job, and hadn´t worked a real day in his life. He is an inTellectual lightweight who advanced because of Affirmative Action and his daddy´s name.

He was voted into office by a majority black district because he is black and was Jesse Jr.

He doesn´t have the work ethics or smarts to run a newstand. Ever hear him interviewed?

It was a platinum Rolex so he paid extra to have it gold-plated. He got confused and thought platinum and aluminum were the same thing.

What no Jackson Family Dynasty? Is this really the end of the road for one of the most corrupt individuals in American Politics in the last Century. Jessie JAAKSON SR. the apple did not fall far from the tree. You tried to teach little Jessie well and that Politics is all about lining your pockets, gaining power and support from the mob while selling it under the banner of civil rights. What a legacy Senior will leave behind.

Objects are power in the black community. Back before blacks could buy houses in nice areas, they spent money on nice cars, jewelry and furs.

I think JJ Jr´s downfall started when he tried to pay a bribe for a senate seat. Tell me that´s not about power.

I dont see why his career is ended. He´s black, he´s a democrat, he´s the son of a race hustler, he´s corrupt and he´s a married man with a girlfriend. For ´rats, these are resume enhancers. Why stop at being mayor or senator? All he needs now is to have terrorists for friends and he can become President.

Jesse Jr. is the product of a man that has spent his lifetime as an extortionist. Jesse Sr. would threaten a well know company with boycotts and other actions that would hurt the company if they didn´t contribute to his "Rainbow Coalition". And is was cheaper to pay him off than the fight him in court. And of course, all that money was tax free. And in all of it´s years of existance, the Rainbow Coalition has NEVER been audited.

So, Jesse Jr. has had a good teacher. And as for him going to jail/prison, ain´t going to happen. After all, he suffers from bipolarism and as such is going to have to have extinisive, expensive medical treatment for a few years. Bet on it.

What does it say that he was missing for something like 6 months and he still got elected? For both the Democrat voters and the Mainstream Media? They put a corrupt fool into office while the slot might have been filled someone working hard to get the government out of the way of the People.

This is a pathetic attempt to excuse Jackson´s criminality.

He does have a weakness for the finer things. A few years back, his home was the subject of a show on HGTV. He and Sandi wanted renovations done, and he sat in a very nicely appointed home office and discussed their requirements. The show ended with Jackson being told the renovations they wanted would cost about $250,000.

I guess some of the quest for money that is sending him to jail was to pay for the home renovations.

Maybe it was tied to something more simpler. A father son relationship. Maybe the father and the son didn´t talk to each other.

Reply 43 - Posted by: Janjan, 2/17/2013 8:35:53 PM     (No. 9182164)

Jackson´s downfall is tied to his over privileged entitlement affirmative action upbringing where he was taught that the rules don´t have to apply to him. Frankly I´m shocked that he even got prosecuted but since he did please put his grasping greedy felon of a wife in the next cell.

Syria activists look to a

WASHINGTON— The hunt for proof that Syrian government forces used banned chemical weapons may come down to a rotting corpse exhumed late last month from a makeshift cemetery near Damascus. The grave diggers — a Syrian doctor and several medical students — were seeking tissue from the remains of a man who had died of respiratory failure after a rocket allegedly spewed poison gas on Dariya, a suburb of the Syrian capital, on April 25. Reaching the cadaver several feet down, the team sliced open the cloth shroud, cut into the torso and removed a small piece of lung.

Let´s hope that the terrorists will cooperate by keeping children away from them. What about tapping reporters phones? You say that it was about national security and because that "darn Congress"

On Melissa Harris-Perry Saturday morning, David Cay Johnston, an investigative reporter and professor at Syracuse University College of Law, lambasted the Obama Administration as hermetically sealed toward journalists, even in comparison to the Bush and Reagan administrations. Following a discussion on the President’s drone speech, in which the panel agreed that while drones are here to stay, the true problem is the lack of visibility and accountability into their use, Johnston expanded the point to a larger condemnation of the White House’s lack of transparency.

The emergency operating room where doctors tried to save President Kennedy´s life after he was shot has been broken into pieces and covertly stored in crates for years, guarded as if it were a state secret. As the 50th anniversary in November of the President´s assassination nears, an investigative team from local Dallas station WFAA went digging for the exact location of the broken tiles and medical equipment used on that fateful day. They found that the room was formally destroyed in 1972 when Parkland Hospital was going through an expansion and Trauma Room 1 had to be demolished.

A man who was searching for pythons discovered a piece of actual treasure instead. Mark Rubenstein was taking part in the Florida state-wide python killing competition when he discovered a gold pendant adorned with diamonds and sapphires. Mr Rubenstein found the piece of jewellery in the Everglades in February, and because of the location of the discovery, he believes that it landed in the swamp in the wreckage of a fatal plane crash. Though the Florida coast has been the site of many shipwrecks in the past, this find is not thought to be a remnant of the Spanish era

CRAWFORD —Former President George W. Bush needed little help to blaze a trail Friday for 14 veterans mountain biking with him through open prairies, slick ravines and steep canyons. That’s because he brought the third annual Warrior 100K Ride — a three-day mountain biking trek to honor service members injured in Afghanistan and Iraq — to the well-worn paths at his Prairie Chapel Ranch outside of Waco. But even as Bush welcomed the wounded warriors to his home to thank them for their service, he made clear that his mission to help veterans extends well beyond the trails

But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails.
