Obama: Have I mentioned
we need more jobs?

Hi, everybody. This week, I’ve been traveling across the country — from North Carolina to Georgia to here at Hyde Park Academy in my hometown of Chicago — talking with folks about the important task I laid out in my State of the Union Address: reigniting the true engine of America’s economic growth — a rising, thriving middle class. [Snip] How do we bring good jobs to America? How do we equip people with the skills those jobs require? And how do we make sure your hard work leads to a decent living?

No, Obama - as usual - you´ve been to busy feeding your insane narcissism to actually see to the needs of the American public.

And we´re all well aware the only ´jobs´ you´re interested in - are those of the *Unions* you use for a private cash-cow.

Maybe you and Michelle can do a Vogue layout together this spring...

He doesn´t know how to create those jobs, or ensure they had the right skills to perform them.
We need investments in education, right? Sure, millions are taking worthless courses that don´t lead to a career, but are incurring massive student loan debt.
Yet, we need engineers.

We don´t need to keep expanding the travel and leisure segment, or the department store, or amazon distribution center jobs. All are low-paying.

We could be unleashing the energy sector to create more of the types of jobs ($90K) in North Dakota, the type that produce a tangible product to use and sell.

And most of all, produces NEW revenue streams for gov´t which helps pay for teachers, police and firefighters.

However, Democrats are against this development leaving the Republicans an opportunity to capture new constituent groups by economics.

I am just amazed by this man. Did we NOT just change the tax code to increase taxes for those making over $ 400,000 a year less than a month ago ?

We´re the Republicans NOT accused of "caving" on taxes without getting the spending cuts they wanted ?

How does he just go right back to the same rhetoric about "the wealthiest among us" not being asked to do anymore ???

I am just in a state of shock that this person is allowed to do what he does, then head to the golf course.

This guy doesn´t even do his job. I´ve been alive long enough to remember FDR (just barely). I knew my parent didn´t like FDR but he did "seem" to be working on winning the war.

I think back to Eisenhower´s years and how America really did seem to be getting back to work. We did a lot of traveling by car in those days and I still remember the enormous undertaking of building the interstate highway system. That really got people working for years - decades.

Then JFK came along and said that we should go to the moon in ten years. So much was accomplished just by that goal alone. It improved ideas about food, medicine, home appliances, and even toilets. Sorry to combine those things with toilets, but great advancements were made in those areas as well as computers and technology.

No one seemed to care if companies profited. The more profit they made the better they were able to do more and to hire more.

Obama has given us an Alice in Wonderland mentality - tax, restrict and regulate and don´t let companies profit - and America will grow. What a load of bs.

Look for a big drop in unemployment when companies transform Full-time positions to Part-time ones.

Unemployment will drop when everyone goes part-time.

Graduation ceremonies are good times for families and their offspring, which makes them good times for politicians to be around and associate themselves with happiness. President Obama gives four commencement speeches per year--at one public and one private university, one historically black school and one service academy. Just before his epidemic of scandals broke, Obama critiqued the many faults of America and told Ohio State graduates to dismiss cynical talk about over-reaching government and fear of tyranny. Technically, first ladies are not politicians. Most are dutiful if often reluctant campaigners. But Michelle Obama is a glaring exception.

Finally, scientific confirmation of what so many have suspected all along: The strongest of men in varied societies around the world are much more likely to hold conservative political views. Probably much smarter too. While weaker guys, regardless of wealth, are more liberal, into handouts and wealth redistribution because, well, they don´t have the strength to get it and keep it themselves. The reassuring results come from a new study by researchers at Denmark´s Aarhus University.

Hi, I’m Congressman Andy Harris, and this is the Red Tape Tower. 20,000 pages high and seven feet tall, it encompasses all of the regulations already associated with President Obama’s health care law. The red tape, the taxes, the mandates, the tricks, the traps, the fine print … it’s all here. Now: just think about the fact that it’s the IRS that will be responsible for enforcing many of these regulations. If we’ve learned anything this week, it’s that the IRS needs less power.

Hi, everybody. Over the past few months, I’ve laid out a series of commonsense ideas to reignite the true engine of our economic growth: a rising, thriving middle class. The way I see it, there are three areas where we need to focus. One: making America a magnet for good jobs. Two: making sure our workers have the education and skills they need to do those jobs. And three: making sure your hard work leads to a decent living. I’ve also been visiting cities across the country that are doing some interesting and creative things along these lines.

Another awkward day in the unraveling presidency of Barack Obama. Beset by a trio of profound scandals, the Democrat planned Thursday´s message on foreign affairs through a joint news conference with Turkey´s Prime Minister Erdogan, a NATO ally. Unfortunately, Obama´s advance staff was apparently too busy preparing his next campaign stops to check the Washington weather forecast. It set up the news conference outdoors in the Rose Garden. Wouldn´t you know given POTUS´ recent luck, it began raining heavily. Obama [Snip] ordered two U.S. Marines to come hold umbrellas over the leaders´ heads while standing at attention.

Washington, the former swamp steeped now in ambition, acrimony and duplicity, is quite experienced in handling scandals. They erupt regularly like bipartisan blisters. If handled correctly -- take responsibility, be sincere, proactive, contrite and get all the bad stuff out there quickly in one tidy, eminently forgettable package -- scandals can heal and leave barely a scar. Take Barack Obama. Please. His recent behavior and that of his administration in this ongoing bad news blizzard will be case studies for future generations of communications strategists on how not to address crises.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
