| Leaving aside for the moment the likelihood that parties and party politics in America will become moot within the next few years (owing to the emergence of a single party or the country’s dissolution into civil war), conservatives and libertarians are finding themselves at an unpleasant crossroads. While some observers gave up on the leadership of the Republican Party long ago, it is now becoming apparent to rank-and-file Republicans that the GOP leadership and its prominent operatives are wholly complicit in the fundamental transformation of America.

I had someone from a group raising money to run an add against the gun control legislation in the works. I listen to the adds and the the solicitor came back on the line asking for a donation. I told him that until we see evidence that boehner, Cantor, Ryan, and others in Congress were actually interested in protecting our constitution don,t bother calling me for money. silence.

I agree, but the states will fall too. Texas is being overrun with immigrants and it is only a matter of time. As for GOP, they are enablers, and stand for nothing. Kasich and Brewer caved on Obamacare. The GOP has not gotten the message. It´s a disaster.

London, England - A new wealth tax is being proposed by the leftist wing (The Liberal Democrats) of our coalition government that will come with unprecedented powers to enter our homes and root through our personal possessions to value rings, necklaces, paintings and furniture, anything that might raise more taxes. If we refuse to be inspected or get our own valuations wrong, we would be facing fines, maybe even a jail sentence. This brainchild was conceived by the Lib Dems for their next election manifesto and is part of a series of measures planned to tax the better off.

So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
