Dems fear Ashley Judd
is political Kryptonite
in Kentucky Senate race

Ashley Judd is thinking about challenging Mitch McConnell in the 2014 election, and it is reportedly worrying local Democrats, even as the Beltway establishment is transfixed at the prospect of an attractive and energetic female celebrity emerging as a public face of the party. The situation holds great potential for amusement, a veritable carnival of celebrity leftist foibles.(snip)Ms. Judd, like many thespians, combines high-powered empathy with high powered ambition.

A Barack Obama sycophant won´t fly in KY.

I was of the understanding that she lives in Tennessee.

I think Rove´s ad was a big mistake. He gave her alot of press. He didn´t even use unflattering photos of her. She would come off looking like a very attractive candidate to centrist Democrats, even though she is a vocal and committed leftist.

Well, Mr. Turtle certainly hasn´t done ANYTHING to endear himself to conservatives. He needs to be replaced by a conservative candidate. Weaklings like Mr. Turtle need to be forcefully retired.

Ashley Judd´s brain could fit in a thimble.
Run, Ashley, Run!

She is a fanatical abortion supporter.

She is from Kentucky. In fact, she was named for Ashland, near her family´s home, and she went to college in KY.

However, challenging her on residence is completely unnecessary. The crazy is strong in this one.

Exhibit A: a first person account of how she behaves on her humanitarian missions. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1665919/posts

She´s nuts. Run, Ashley, run!

I was just reading this morning that the Tea Party in KY is looking to replace the Chinless One. This could be interesting and ... scarey.

An aside. Don´t know where I saw the article this morning but it was about Karl Rover and his new PAC which was taken from an idea of McConnell´s and McConnell´s former top guy is in charge of the PAC for Rove. FWIW

I hope they Palinize this bimbo. Since she´s a movie star, she´s bound to have made some inane and inappropriate statements at one time or another. Find them and capitalize on them.

FTA - "Ms. Judd, like many thespians, combines high-powered empathy with high powered ambition."

She is also a high-powered air head!

And the answer is - Run a dynamite conservative espousing Kentucky issues to light up Kentucky voters´ values.

As an actress, Ashley Judd forged a career by taking of her clothes for movie roles is order to compensate for her lack of acting ability. Not as effective when running for office.

Sarah Palin´s Debut

I caught Sarah Palin on Fox & Friends this morning. Wow, talk about a breath of fresh air! While listening to Palin speak on various issues and Obama´s scandals, something occurred to me. Palin on TV fills a desperately needed void. Sarah Palin communicates in plain English, free of the usual guarded TV political speak. Palin fearlessly nailed Obama and company with the truth. Folks, I cannot express how good and hopeful I felt.

Here we are at the midpoint of the Obama years, assailed on every side by looming consequences of liberal hubris and liberal corruption. But the Obama Scandals don´t get me all riled up with partisan outrage. What´s the surprise? If liberals in the media, in the academy, and in politics stigmatize conservatives as monsters, racists, sexists, homophobes, why be surprised that little Lois Lerner wants to please her teacher? Why wouldn´t the Democrats want to do immigration reform and never mind the consequences to low-paid Americans?

There exists a certain real pathos inherent in the NSA´s PRISM program -- and not only because of its attempt to undermine American principles. PRISM, along with its doubtlessly enormous support structure, is based on a worldview that no longer exists among serious intellects (snip) PRISM is much like the other elements of Barack Obama´s great progressive crusade -- ObamaCare, quantitative easing, green economics -- elaborate and expensive systems apt to cause a lot of misery and waste while accomplishing nothing. Liberals like to boast that they are the rational party. But it´s an obsolete rationality

Superman was created in 1938 by Jerome Siegel and Joe Shuster, designed as an adolescent anodyne and savior, in large part, from the hitlerian juggernaut that had sent so many surviving graphic artists and novelists over the oceans for succor. (snip) The Brit Henry Cavill, who plays American Man of Steel without a lapse back into English (joke intended), is certainly handsome enough, but lacks the smooth, seamless facial planes and hauteur of his predecessor. Certainly, Cavill´s physique is peerless, but he seems querulous and even hesitant onscreen as often as he seems commanding.

Every year, like clockwork, Mrs. Obama exploits the president´s official business responsibilities to squeeze in a pre-summer vacation, otherwise known as a PSV. A PSV is where vacation junkie Michelle finds a way to finagle a series of trips at the taxpayer´s expense. Here is how it´s done: The president announces his plan to attend the G8 summit at the Lough Erne resort in Northern Ireland. Michelle convinces Barack to schedule some sort of secondary sideshow so the family can use it as an excuse to travel in the highest possible style, cost-free, compliments of the American taxpayer.

Race discussion may crowd out

affirmative action decision

Get set for a Supreme Court decision that could alter or even end affirmative action. Or not. Predicting SCOTUS decisions is hazardous, but Fisher v University of Texas could plunge the nation into heated discussion of the role of racial preferences in education and beyond. Oddly enough, a decision that would please conservatives, an outright rejection, would also serve the interest of President Obama, firing up his base and diverting attention from his mushrooming scandals and the corruption of federal bureaucracies. It looks as though the Court is saving Fisher for last

In Madhya Pradesh, the second largest state in India and home to over 75 million people, the government takes sharing the wealth to new levels. In the tribal district of Betul in the Hardu village of Chicholi block, the state government under a social welfare scheme called Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana sponsors a mass marriage ceremony to ensure poor women without dowries marry. (snip) in order to qualify for the $256 wedding gift, under government order, the women recently had to first undergo a virginity/pregnancy tes.

In the latest black eye for the scandal-ridden State Department, a whistleblower claims she was run out of the foreign service after complaining about a consul general’s alleged office trysts with subordinates and hookers.Kerry Howard says she was bullied, harassed and forced to resign after she exposed US Consul General Donald Moore’s alleged security-threatening shenanigans in the Naples, Italy, office. As the post’s community-liaison officer, Howard was charged with keeping workplace peace and advising higher-ups on the state of morale, but when she revealed allegations about her boss, State Department officials swept it under the rug,

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. Politico’s Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from the New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least: “There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it. There shouldn’t be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can’t get it, can’t do it, don’t want to do it. And so you can’t obviously discuss that publicly.” Here is the entire context:
