| House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) challenged President Barack Obama’s assertions about climate change policy on Thursday, saying there was not anything the president could do if Congress refuses to pass the climate bill Obama called for in his State of the Union speech. “I don’t know what actions the president thinks he can take,” Boehner said at his weekly press conference Thursday. “I don’t think he has the ability to impose a national energy tax on Americans without the authority of Congress.” “He may attempt to do this, but I’m not sure how much he can really do,” said Boehner.

Comments: Really Speaker Boehner? You don´t know what actions 0bama thinks he can take? He will simply have his Marxist attack dogs in the EPA do his filthy dirty work. And even if lawsuits are filed, 0bama will be long gone by the time they wind their way through the burdensome court system. 0bama and his devious comrades know exactly how to play their malicious games.

Just beyond belief. This occupant of the WH knows full well he will never be impeached and that any attempt to do so will have the usual tribe of suspects howling at the moon.
The only option citizens and businesses have is to ignore clearly unconstitutional conduct and be ready to spend big $ to stay any adverse actions until sanity is somehow restored. Either that or bend over and . . . you know the rest.
Boner once again shows himself to be a self-serving idiot.

No! Fight the scrofulous Bolshevik at every possible opportunity. Turn the entire Ministry of Social Justice into his personal defense firm ( which it already is). Never give up!

And why not? What will stop him?
The Senate blocks removal even if the House, by some miracle, should Impeach.
The bureaucracy will do what they are told to do.
And there are strong signs Obama and the administration will not obey any court orders that seriously impede them.

Does Mr. Boehner think that the Repubics are going to stop him? They lack the ´cahones´ and the leadership to fulfill their Constitutional prerogatives, to stop him.
Zippy is probably just as ´mad´ as the Emperor Caligula, certainly, he operated in his own world of megalomania. The Repubics are like the Fire Dept who has not received its yearly subscriber dues and arrives at a house on fire; only to watch it burn to the ground, because the money had not been paid for its protection.

When, oh when, is Boehner going to realize the truth about the Marxist that we are dealing with. It´s almost as if John Boehner does not know that true evil exists in Boomtown, D.C.

Defund the EPA and let the states regulate the Environment-it is in their interest and ability to do so. The carbon credit scam aka climate change started in the UN with Maurice Strong for a revenue source and redistribution. It was always about the money and redistribution. People in PNG call carbon credits "sky money" - a better name is extortion.

Although White House Chief Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler claims to have learned about the IRS audit scandal only last month, she had three unprecedented one-on-one meetings last year with the Treasury Department’s chief lawyer, who has known about the inspector general’s investigation of the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative nonprofits since at least June 2012. The Treasury lawyer in turn has a long history of extreme left-wing agitation. Christopher J. Meade, Treasury Chief Counsel, met with Ruemmler on September 27th, December 11th, and December 13th, 2012, according to White House Visitor Records requests.

President Barack Obama condemned “in the strongest terms the appalling attack" that killed an off-duty British soldier in a London suburb. “There can be absolutely no justification for such acts, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim, the police and security services responding to this horrific act and the communities they serve, and the British people,” Obama said in a statement the White House released Thursday. Obama also reaffirmed the “special relationship” between the United States and the United Kingdom.

President Obama is using his national security address today to reject the "Global War on Terror." "Beyond Afghanistan, we must define our effort not as a boundless ‘global war on terror’ – but rather as a series of persistent, targeted efforts to dismantle specific networks of violent extremists that threaten America. In many cases, this will involve partnerships with other countries. Thousands of Pakistani soldiers have lost their lives fighting extremists. In Yemen, we are supporting security forces that have reclaimed territory

President Barack Obama knows the dangers of not going far enough or fast enough to stop the climate crisis. History will celebrate his decision to lead us toward a clean energy economy that solves climate change and creates long-term, sustainable jobs for Americans. But achieving this awesome goal requires that we reject the TransCanada Corp.’s proposal to build the Keystone XL pipeline, which would cut through the heartland of America. This is a simple decision for a president who supports protecting our climate and creating jobs. Returning our economy to stable growth requires Americans to

What does a murderous jihadist terrorist have to do to get some recognition for his cause? You hack a British soldier to death in broad daylight on a London street while shouting “Allahu akbar” and then “swear by the almighty Allah” that you’ll never stop fighting, and the U.S. broadcast networks still can’t bring themselves to utter a word about Islam. True, the ABC CBS and NBC evening broadcasts called the attack “terrorism,” but for all the information they gave viewers, the attackers might have been Basque separatists or animal rights zealots. Republican Rep. Darrell Issa declared Thursday that the embattled IRS official who refused to testify Wednesday had no right to do so, and is now looking to haul her back before his committee. The chairman of the House oversight committee made the call after consulting with attorneys about IRS official Lois Lerner´s bizarre appearance before the panel on Wednesday. Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division which oversaw the controversial targeting of conservative groups, caused confusion Wednesday morning when she pleaded the Fifth and refused to answer questions -- but also delivered an opening statement in which

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
