| Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is said by well-connected Democrats to be considering with the idea of running for president if Hillary Clinton opts out of the 2016 race. The 53-year-old Emanuel, who is busy raising money for his 2015 reelection campaign in the Windy City, has had discussions both over the phone and face to face in the past month with Democratic Party donors and fundraisers about a possible White House run, according to sources. It’s unclear who raised the subject—Emanuel or the donors—and the mayor’s press secretary didn’t offer any clarity on who said what to whom.

He could win. Don´t laugh.
He would have the full benefit of the MSM in his corner while they simultaneously torpedo his opponent, stinky would start kicking the ball down the road for him well before campaign season, and most importantly he would have the huge benefit of a corrupt, rigged election process and a breathlessly ignorant electorate.
Plus, whomever the ´pubbies select as their candidate will likely be a dope.

Goooood Grief. Does Rahm want to bring to the rest of America the nightmare he cultivated so perfectly in Chicago? Are we all ready to watch the Alinskyan revolution kick into overdrive?
Obama and his cohorts have been trying to steer the ship of state onto the rocks at a speed and angle aimed at rendering her unable to be restored to seaworthiness. Putting Rahm or Hillary at the helm after that seems almost like stabbing someone continuously for 8 years, then dismembering ´im -- just to be sure the job is done.
Will the Left reach the bottom of the barrel of miscreants for office befor the Right´s wellspring of incompetents runs dry? It just seems to get worse and worse every election.

My first thought is that this would be a good thing!
Just think of the infighting that would take place between the Clintons and Rahm/Bambi---it would be a giant pass-the-popcorn time!
Also, his record as Chicago´s mayor has not yet been established. The sky high body counts Chicago is experiencing have been taking place for years before he became mayor.

He´s definitely running! Obama was a first term joke of a nobody senator when he ran and won coming from there. If Obama could win being a nobody, so can Rahm. He clearly has a trail already created for him. Also the money that´s behind Obama is more than likely already backing Rahm too, that´s why he´s running. Lastly, when he decided to run for mayor of Chicago, he did the same thing. He said if the job ever opened up, he´d be interested. Lo and behold, the former mayor decided not to run again, the job opened up and he won easily. He´s running, this just confirms it.

The families of Navy SEALs killed in an August 2011 shoot-down of a helicopter in Afghanistan spoke at a press conference Thursday morning, citing a number of grievances, including an allegation that the Pentagon invited a Muslim cleric who “disparaged in Arabic the memory of these servicemen.” In addition to blasting the Obama administration for the mission and for an official investigation they deemed a cover-up, the families complained that “military brass, while prohibiting any mention of a Judeo-Christian God, invited a Muslim cleric to the funeral for the fallen

I don´t know Jason Collins per se, nor do I think I would ever wish to. [Snip] It is perhaps one thing for Collins to "out" himself as a homosexual, after years of copulating with both men and women, and quite another to begrudge the courtesy of this highly pertinent information to his then beard, er... fiancé. Certainly, the propensity towards same-sex attraction does not fall upon one unawares, as would a meteorite, and a principled individual would consider such special knowledge a significant factor in any future marital equation.

If Obama were truly interested in the downtrodden of the world, he would be publicizing the plight of Egyptian Coptic Christians who are being decimated as a result of ongoing pillaging and murder by Muslim jihadists. In Raymond Ibrahim´s new book, titled Crucified Again: Exposing Islam´s New War on Christians there are, according to baptismal records of the Coptic Orthodox Church, some 16 million Christian Copts in Egypt. [Snip] According to Raymond Ibrahim, the St. Mark Cathedral "holds symbolic and historical significance for all Christians," and this is "precisely why it was attacked" on April 7, 2013.

Roy Spencer is a climate scientist at the University of Alabama Huntsville who may be the world´s most important scientist. He has discovered scientific insights and theories that cast great doubt on global warming doctrine. That doctrine has always been dubious and is often defended by attacking the integrity of anyone who dares to raise questions. Spencer is a rare combination of a brilliant scientist and a brave soul willing to risk his livelihood and reputation by speaking plainly.

The Mormon bishop who used a samurai sword to defend a neighbor lady being attacked by a stalker is just an irresistible story. So many contemporary memes collide. [Snip] Kent Hendrix woke up Tuesday to his teenage son pounding on his bedroom door and telling him somebody was being mugged in front of their house. The 47-year-old father of six rushed out the door and grabbed the weapon closest to him -- a 29-inch high carbon steel Samurai sword.

The two brothers, from southern Russia, practiced Islam. The U.S. officials spoke Monday on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the investigation.

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents’ union president Chris Crane called on Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio to abandon the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” in the U.S. Senate pushing immigration reform on Friday in a statement obtained exclusively by Breitbart News. “Senator Rubio was asked during a recent interview that ‘if you don’t get enforcement first, or securing the borders first, is that a deal killer for you?,’” Crane said. “And he replied ‘Absolutely…Because we will be right back here again.’ But the outline from the Gang of 8 offers legalization, or amnesty, before enforcement is accomplished.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. He has full confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who purportedly recused himself (whenever) without putting it in writing (whatever). When asked about the untrammeled snooping on Associated Press reporters and editors,

“I look forward to taking some questions at tomorrow’s press conference,” President Obama said last night, after announcing the resignation of the acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller. The president scheduled a noon press conference today with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in honor of his visit. Reporters, however, found themselves waiting outside in the rain for Obama, who was 47 minutes late. Only New York Times reporter Mark Landler had an umbrella.
