Obama made no phone calls
on night of Benghazi attack,
White House says

President Obama didn’t make any phone calls the night of the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the White House said in a letter to Congress released Thursday. “During the entire attack, the president of the United States never picked up the phone to put the weight of his office in the mix,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, who had held up Mr. Obama’s defense secretary nominee to force the information to be released. Mr. Graham said that if Mr. Obama had picked up the

Tucker Carlson was the one who coined the "Dog Whistle" term. Have to be an idiologue Dem to buy into this stuff.

Not only lash the TAARP Baby with this, but drag the Badministration through the dirt
so even Hill-err-ee-ass Herself is tainted by Benghazi for the long term.

Witch-slap them and make them pay for these murders and their egregious negligence.

Somebody wake up Bob Dole and pull his cord so he can say, "Where´s the outrage???"
Okay, thanks Bob, now back to sleep.

He has set the standard of performance so low, it is astonishing.
But that is the cost of affirmative action.

It is my sincere hope that should Obama ever find himself in a similar situation US troops would rush in to save him. Because 1)he is the President of the United States; and 2)because he may be a US citizen. Once he is safely back home he could then be put on trial for the deaths of the four Americans.

I am still wondering/confused/questioning why we have heard nothing/zip/nada from the other Americans who were in Benghazi. Why is this?

What has happened to the Father of the soldier who was killed in Benghazi ? He was a prominent fixture in the news stories early on, even accusing the administration of "murder" I believe. What has happened to him ?

Since the current excuse is abiding by local law... that makes Obama´s lack of involvement even more repulsive.

Hillary & Obama went about their usual schedule as both were assuming Stevens was being kidnapped by the Mo Bro´s, as pre-arranged... so Obama could trade the blind sheik or him. Islamo´s on the ground preferred to rape & torture Stevens instead.

And neither seems to have any remorse.

Who was the father (of one of the four men killed) who was at one time saying that the Administration had "murdered" hi son ? It seems like that guy has disappeared from the planet.

We were subjected to a daily dose of Cindy Sheehan for what seemed like years. Where is this guy and what does he think NOW ?

Please! We all know what Dear Leader was doing that night - He was caring, caring about so many things. And in between caring so very much about so many things, He focused like a laser on jobs. After falling asleep, exhausted from so much caring and focusing on jobs, Dear Leader dreamed - He dreamed of a better, more equitable tomorrow for all Americans. It´s all too wonderful.

How dare anyone demand that Dear Leader make phone calls, when He is so busy caring, focusing and dreaming - for us!

AND NBC, CBS, ABC et al. are so little concerned that they are not even mentioning the story, let alone the fact that Harry Reid and other Dems fought tooth and nail re: several of Bush´s picks. The days of a truth finding Press are long gone, which is probably why the ratings are also down to a pittance. Who could possibly respect a Brian Williams?

As to poster #3, Obama is NOT a product of affirmative action. He was well-heeled via his grandparents, as well as connected, and went to the best schools, also with help from various Democrats who saw a future for him. He was also protected re: any acknowledgement of his grades, his law license (handed back but why; ditto Michelle´s), his "professorship", and his iffy friends. The PRESS is responsible for these omissions and they should be held in contempt.

I don´t normally have the warm fuzzies for Sen. Graham, but in this Benghazi matter (and for LoFo´s: Ben Gazi? Who dat?), he´s being a little bulldog and I like that, a lot.

Keep the heat on, Senator. Don´t let this investigation die, like those 4 Americans.

20, the principle behind affirmative action is what we´re seeing in the behavior of the press. Obama is most decidedly a beneficiary of that kind of thinking.

The Tar Baby represents a situation from which you cannot extricate yourself, not a person. It isn´t a racist epithet. Like the briar patch, which represents your comfort zone, its from Song of the South, a collection of children´s stories. I wish people who have not read them would stop referring to Obama this way. It isn´t clever. And I think at 90 we can let Bob Dole retire.

Im not sure about the reason, but I do know this man is incapable of "being" anything other than a community organizer and a campaigner. The highest office holder in the world cares nothing about doing the job. The media is as much to blame as anyone. Im sick of them all.

Voting "Present" has been Obama´s M.O. from the beginning. The only gutsy call he made in his life was only revealed "after" the Bin Laden success. If it would have failed he would have been sleeping through that one too.

Rush is onto something. Obama only campaigns. He doesn´t govern. That way he can play outsider and no blame is ever attached to him or his policies.

In the law enforcement business, this is called "copping a plea". Basically, you plead guilty to a lesser charge so the investigation into the bigger charge (the one with the prison term attached) gets dropped and they stop investigating. That´s what Obammy is doing. He´s basically pleading guilty to incompetence and having no heart for Americans who were dying valiantly and horribly. He´s pleading guilty to that charge in exchange for Congress (and the people) dropping the other charges that would have him impeached for not performing his job and for running guns to Turkey. Basically, he´s asking the court of public opinion to give him a pass and release him back into the general population. He feels he paid a fine and now he´s done. The Lo-Infos will agree.

The more I think about what posters 7 and 8 said the more it makes perfect sense that these two traitors, Zero and the "Smartest Woman in the World" thought this was all part of the covert operation that would end up trading Stevens for the Blind Sheik. Otherwise, why would they tell the Navy Seals to stand down and not help these guys? Why would they not even attempt to get military assets that are stationed only a few hours away from this hell hole to save these people? If they did send help, that would have blown everything. And indeed, when the Seals disobeyed the stand down, they blew the entire thing. The spinless Republicans need to keep pressing and pressing and this has to be made public. Because if it is, this is definitely an impeachable offense for both Zero and Hillary. Although with the corrupt medial, impeachment will never happen.

Our focus here is on assigning appropriate blame to this Badministration for the
horrors it is committing and that it is hoping to get away with even now.

Some of the angles presented here by those posting are pretty interesting, and should
be further explored, preferably by our elected officials.

Focusing elsewhere is a less productive pursuit, but we can multitask, and the
following should be obvious to many...
we had a program called TARP, and we have an organization called AARP. Put them together and you can say TAARP.

I actually knew Bob Dole. I am certain he will appreciate the acknowledgement of his
signature campaign line from 1996. This Benghazi controversy makes you wonder when
someone in Washington will revive Dole´s line... "Where´s the outrage???!!!"

Reply 44 - Posted by: Quiet Observer, 2/15/2013 4:01:01 PM     (No. 9178631)

I agree with posters 7, 8 & 41. Ever since that explanation was put forward in mid-October it has seemed like the most plausible explanation for all of the facts. And as more facts have come out, none of them have contradicted it, thereby increasing its plausibility.

Poster #4 asks (paraphrasing): why haven´t we heard anything from the other Americans who were in Benghazi? That’s a great question, which leads me to a few more questions:

Have any pictures or other evidence been provided that prove that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were actually killed by a mortar round fired by the terrorists?

If not, could they have been killed by “friendly fire” (a CIA operative?) for disobeying orders and screwing up the whole kidnapping, prisoner exchange for the blind sheik plan?

Why haven´t any of the Americans who were rescued from Benghazi been called to testify before Congress? Where are they?

Maybe they’re being held at some undisclosed location because they know the inconvenient truth about what really happened.

I wouldn’t put it past the compulsive-liar-in-chief, the Queen of Cover-ups... errr... I mean “Secretary of State – the BEST ONE EVER!!!!! (gag)”, Hillary, or their “flying-monkey” minions.

Remember Hillary Clinton´s late night phone call ad?

"It?s 3 a.m. and your children are safe and asleep.... Something is happening in the world.... Who do you want answering the phone?"

Now we know. If someone calls the White House in the middle of the night, no one answers!

"Hello. You have reached the White House. No one is available to take your call. If this is an emergency, call 911 and kiss your ass goodbye."

Benghazi Attack would initiate Protocol of a flash electronic message straight to the pResident, if available it would be hand carried to him .. Obozo has similiar electronic system... phone message crap is misdirection response, he doesnt need to talk .. Only the pResident can order a stand down of the military... He did so 3 times in 7 hours until the 4 were dead... Benghazi was not a consulate it was a CIA gun running shop to Syria terroist ... this is why he did nothing to protect.. Obozo not only did Obozo do nothing for Benghazi he fired two staff officers (4 star) in the theater for trying to help ... TREASON IMPEACH

Are we committed to making Obie´s life a living hell for the next 4 years? Writing these posts is fine and dandy, but at the end of the day, what action will each of us take to repair the country by replacing this travesty of a government?

If this were a Republican, there would be hearings by now. You would be watching a thing like Watergate. But no, Obama could and is (with the drones) getting away with murder and no one is saying or doing anything. The main stream media just ho-hums it off and says nothing and does nothing. I´m positive that this is how Hitler got into power. We are just watching it happen..,..

I fully expect him to disappoint when it comes to the full Hagel vote, but for now, I´ll give him the credit for keeping this issue alive. I wish only that our - OUR! - Commander-in-Chief had thought so much as to keep those men alive.

By the way, anyone - how is this nor outright murder? Or conspiracy to commit? Or 2nd degree?

And just moments ago, I see a clip of Louie Gohmert making his House floor speech on this issue, so I´m thankful somebody over there knows about this too - NOT surprised it´s Gohmert. But I would not use the word ´impassioned´ to describe his speech demeanor. What´s up with that?

I can´t decide which is more evil; a President who can go to bed while Americans are begging for help at the hands of savage barbarians and do nothing to intervene on their behalf, or the media who will not seriously and objectively investigate this tragedy.

There are so many unanswered questions but apparently no one wants to press the issue hard enough to get answers. The Republicans have let the democrats close the book on this matter. When Mrs. Clinton got away with shouting, "What difference, at this point, does it matter" and there was no outrage, I knew nothing was going to come of the investigation. The preening pampered princes in Washington could not even manage to ask a simple question and then follow up on it. By allowing her to give non-answers and filibuster, they let her off the hook. We are now to move on and be satisfied with the hearings. Our government failed to protect these men and then failed miserably in providing answers to the families.

The Navy Seals a mile away wouldnt have responded if shots werent heard.
Obama is naive to think the Muslim Brotherhood would keep a promise.

Therefore, the Teleprompter wasnt scripted for the late night call. Obama doesnt know or understand military protocols- nor does he care. The military is for show and serving drinks at his parties.

We are all Navy Seals- we should be worried about our own children in studies overseas. Will our government help in an emergency?

This falls into the category of "high crimes and misdemeanors." The president shirked his constitutional duty to protect our diplomatic personnel, whom he and his secretary of state had recklessly sent into Benghazi.

#65 I saw or read that, too. Where was her son supposedly cremated and isn´t that a decision the family should have made? What an arrogant bunch!

#7 & #8 make the most sense of what happened.

All I can say is that we here at Lucianne.com must keep pressing on this issue. People in powerful places, I hear, do read what we post.

Compare the noncoverage of Benghazi to the long-running media furor over the Plame nothingburger, where not only did no one die or even risk dying, but the woman was a deskjockey at Langley in plain sight. Everyone knew she worked at the CIA, including presumably any foreign government that cared to know. Yet even though it really did not matter, and even though the Bush Adm. had too much class to say "what does it matter," if they had, would such an exclamation have received the favorable reaction Hillary did?

This was talked about on the panel last night with Bret Baier, #4 and #45. They asked each other about all the other people who were involved in the Benghazi fight - where are they and why hasn´t anyone heard from any of them? Do we know where they are? The panelists all said no. Doesn´t this make you wonder - have they been threatened by the admin not to speak out or come forward for fear of reprisal, or job loss, or demotion? There are many who know more about what happened, about the requests for security, for aid, all of it.

Junk Science: Despite no evidence that devastating tornadoes have increased in frequency or intensity due to fossil fuel use, another warm-monger blames the Moore, Okla., disaster on GOP "polluters and deniers." Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., thought the devastation of Moore was a crisis that should not be wasted as he took to the Senate floor Monday to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic (man-caused) global warming (known by its acronym, AGW). Other Democratic leaders like Al Gore, who profited handsomely off the manufactured hysteria, and President Obama, who promised the sea level would stop

Free Market: The government has decided that less intervention on its part will be better for economic growth. Is this a new initiative coming out of Washington? No. This is the thinking in Beijing. Under the headline "China Cuts Red Tape As Premier Li Shows Stimulus Reluctance," Bloomberg reported last week that Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, who "pledged to reduce the government´s role in the world´s second biggest economy after a new leadership took over in March," wants to cut red tape and regulation. Bloomberg went on to report that Chinese government "authorities" are "reluctant to use stimulus to counter

Leadership: Is Barack Obama the president or not? If you were visiting from another planet, you´d have to wonder. He says he learns what his government is doing from the news, and seems detached from his role as leader. Let´s take Obama at his word (for now) that he didn´t know his Justice Department was spying on reporters. Or that his IRS agents were targeting his political enemies. Or that al-Qaida was attacking his diplomats — after they´d asked for more protection, which he also didn´t know about. The ignorance and incompetence defense looks just as bad as guilt.

Parties divide over IRS scandal fallout

Democratic lawmakers on the Senate Finance Committee said Tuesday the IRS, while engaging in “unacceptable” targeting of conservative groups, may have been set up for failure by campaign finance law ambiguities that allowed tax-exempt groups to engage in partisan politics without disclosing their donors. In the Senate’s first hearing on revelations that the tax agency had targeted tea party and other conservative groups for special scrutiny, Democrats focused largely on the foggy environment that led to the scandal, while minority Republican members of the panel excoriated senior IRS officials

RUSH: It took five minutes. Five minutes. It only took five minutes before the Democrat Party politicized the tornado in Oklahoma. They politicize everything, folks. They rub their hands together in glee when there is a natural disaster that they think they can spin in such a way as to advance their political agenda. If any of you doubt that global warming is a political issue and not a science issue, then you must open your mind and consider why in the world, ask yourself, why in the world, five minutes

The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday afternoon that Lois Lerner, who heads up the Internal Revenue Service´s tax-exempt division, plans to invoke the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in a hearing Wednesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Affairs. The Fifth Amendment provides that U.S. citizens may not be compelled to offer testimony if telling the truth would incriminate them. Lerner´s defense lawyer, William W. Taylor III, wrote to the committee on Tuesday that his client would refuse to answer questions related to what she knew about the extra levels of scrutiny appled to

RUSH: The IRS commissioner, Steven Miller, has just admitted in a Senate hearing this morning, Senate testimony this morning, guess what he´s admitted? The targeting of conservative groups at the IRS was partisan. He said so this morning. Now, I guess the threat of perjury has a way of squeezing the truth out, because it was only last week that Mr. Miller said there was nothing partisan about this. This morning he admitted that targeting conservative groups is partisan. Of course, everybody knew that. The shock was that he said,

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?"
