Kerry Still Waiting for
a Call Back from Russia

National Review Online, by Patrick Brennan

Original Article

Following Monday night’s nuclear test in North Korea, newly installed secretary of state John Kerry placed calls to get in touch with his counterparts from the key regional powers. That night, according to the State Department, he spoke with the foreign ministers of South Korea, China, and Japan. But one key player didn’t deign to get back to JFK: Russia’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov. Russia has publicly condemned the test, calling for Pyongyang to halt its nuclear program and abide by the terms of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, but they apparently don’t feel like discussing these objections with the U.S.

Comments:
Doesn´t this make you feel safe and secure. The entire world is laughing at us and the weak, incompetent fools who are running the country. It´s terribly frightening because you know our enemies are sure going to take advantage of it.

Don´t laugh but Kerry was the inspiration for the statues at Eastern Island.

Isn´t there a bust of that long face in Russia or was in Viet Nam? After all he is one of their hero´s along with Jane. What´s the Russian foreign minister thinking?

Inside the Kremlin...
Aide: Call from Amerika, John Kerry on the line, comrade Lavrov.
Sergei: Wasn´t he the operative we codenamed "Genghis?"
Aide: Da! He says we owe him some back pay.
Sergei: Tell him... tell him the interpreter is out sick today. We´ll get back to him.

As Bolton pretty much stated, no bad guys (and most allies) do not fear nor respect the United States government.

I never thought I´d sympathize with the Russians, but in this case I do. Jenjis John is a pompous arse. I don´t think too many foreign diplomats are thrilled at the idea of communicating with him.

Pro-life groups argue that Attorney General Eric Holder’s Justice Department has been assiduous in its efforts to prosecute pro-life advocates who (legally) counsel women outside of abortion clinics, but considerably less dogged in prosecuting the abortionists inside — and they are pointing to a recent revelation as a possible reason why. Watchdog.org reports: In October, Watchdog.org published Fulton County tax records showing Holder’s wife, Dr. Sharon Malone Holder – an obstetric and gynecological doctor at Foxhall OB/GYN in Washington, D.C. – and her sister, Margie Malone Tuckson,

On Saturday´s Melissa Harris-Perry on MSNBC, substitute anchor Ari Melber hosted a panel of liberals fretting over Republican efforts to restrict abortion, with one guest even theorizing that Republicans are motivated by a racist desire to prevent white women from having abortions as a way of "reproducing whiteness, white supremacy, white privilege." Melber seemed quite accepting of University of Pennsylvania Assistant Professor Salamisha Tillet´s preposterous idea of pro-lifers being motivated by racism as he responded: And you´re talking not only then about a potentially religious view about

In the midst of all the big debates happening in Washington right now, one that’s getting less media attention is the immigration reform being taken up by Congress. The bill has divided Republicans and conservative commentators, with some of the latter offering dire warnings for the party’s future if it happens. California congressman Rana Rohrabacher is none too happy with his party taking up this mantle, saying on Wo*****Daily Radio that Marco Rubio and other immigration backers are using “weasel words” to deceive the public, and declaring that if House Speaker John Boehner allows the vote, then

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who stumbled out of the GOP presidential primary gates in 2012, appears poised for a revival in the upcoming 2016 primaries, according to key congressional aides and members who are already sizing up the Republican field. Perry joins Sens. Rand Paul and Marco Rubio as the Republicans most likely to win the nomination, according to the aides, several of whom were involved in the past two presidential elections, and a handful of members including a key Senate conservative. Missing from the list: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who the insiders said is too blunt

Hold on New START

The House last week voted to restrict implementation of the 2010 New START arms treaty with Russia until the Obama administration outlines its plans for nuclear cuts. The restriction is contained in the fiscal 2014 defense authorization bill that passed the House on Friday by a vote of 315 to 107. Section 1052 of the bill limits the Pentagon and Energy Department from spending any funds on nuclear forces reduction until two conditions are met. The limits would be lifted only after the Pentagon submits a plan required in law that outlines strategic nuclear cuts under New START.

The Muslim Lawyers Association in Johannesburg has called for the arrest and prosecution of President Obama for war crimes when he arrives in South Africa on June 29, the nonprofit said in a statement. The MLA has submitted a 600-plus-page request to the Office of the National Director of Public Prosecution to arrest the U.S. president, the South African daily newspaper The Times reported. According to the report, the MLA mainly objects to Mr. Obama’s drone program, which it says unfairly targets Muslim civilians. “The complaint, dubbed the ‘Obama Docket’ encourages South Africa to take seriously its

In the latest black eye for the scandal-ridden State Department, a whistleblower claims she was run out of the foreign service after complaining about a consul general’s alleged office trysts with subordinates and hookers.Kerry Howard says she was bullied, harassed and forced to resign after she exposed US Consul General Donald Moore’s alleged security-threatening shenanigans in the Naples, Italy, office. As the post’s community-liaison officer, Howard was charged with keeping workplace peace and advising higher-ups on the state of morale, but when she revealed allegations about her boss, State Department officials swept it under the rug,

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Politico’s Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from the New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least: “There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it. There shouldn’t be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can’t get it, can’t do it, don’t want to do it. And so you can’t obviously discuss that publicly.” Here is the entire context:
