Sen. Collins Wants Same-Sex
Partners to Be Brought over Border

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Tony Lee

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) is the first Republican supporter of a bill that would allow U.S. citizens to bring their foreign same-sex partners to the country for legal residency. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Collins (R-Maine) will introduce the bill, which Leahy has introduced every year since 2003 and insisted should be part of any immigration reform deal. “More than two dozen countries recognize same-sex couples for immigration purposes,” Collins said. “This important civil rights legislation would help prevent committed, loving families from being forced to choose between leaving their family or leaving their country.”

Frankly, I don´t care what she wants. This will just add more expenses and aid in the collapse of the economy. The behavior of the idiots in Washington is beyond frustrating.

"Committed loving families"... is a euphemism for "selfish perverts who put their desires ahead of the needs of healthy children". The myth of cost-free homo-utopia will crash and burn like all the other liberal death-wishes.

Not to get all logical and everything but.....of those countries who already do this, how many do it for gate crashing, drug dealin´,uninvited, undocumented members of a mass invasion ?

For those who come legally it never was a problem.

The partner of any type is also welcome to go to the back of the line where everyone else starts.

No problem.

Kind of like the joke about the Coast Guard cutter that stops a rowboat in the gulf. The captain asks where they are going and one of the occupants replies ´invading the United States´..the Captain laughs and says where are the rest of you? And the guy in the boat answers ´they are already here, we are the last´....

"Collins said. ´This important civil rights legislation would help . . . ´ "

The issue of ´gay marriage´ is one of ontology not civil rights. Slapping the term ´marriage´ on same-sex life commitments does not somehow make them the same as man-woman life commitments. So calling them the same thing serves only to obfuscate and confuse.

Let´s make it simple. If the country of origin allowed them to get a marriage license, they can come in with their spouse, regardless of gender agreement.

There, problem solved.

Why should the US be the only country dealing with militant gays? Let all of them demand marriage licenses so they can come to the United States.

You realize that the very act of declaring themselves as homosexual partners means they will go to the front of the line and ahead of for example the Coptic Christians fleeing the Muslim Brotherhood. This will make both partners part of a "persecuted" class and therefore more likely to get in. So, instead of being assistance to an occasional partner, this is designed to move homosexuals to the front of the line.

We do not allow anyone to bring in their unmarried live-ins. I don´t believe that any country south of our border allows same-sex marriages, so this should not even be an issue.

Researchers at Princeton and Northwestern universities have pored over 1,800 US policies and concluded that America is an oligarchy. Instead of looking out for the majority of the country’s citizens, the US government is ruled by the interests of the rich and the powerful, they found. No great surprises there, then. But the government is not the only American power whose motivations need to be rigourously examined. Some 2,400 miles away from Washington, in Silicon Valley, Google is aggressively gaining power with little to keep it in check. It has cosied up to governments around the world so effectively that its chairman,

Then-Sens. Joe Biden and John Kerry were both opposed to Hillary Clinton’s 1993 health-care reform program, according to documents released by the Clinton presidential library. Clinton marked a handwritten “No” beside Biden’s name on Clinton’s list of Capitol Hill lawmakers that she needed to win over for her universal health care law, known as the “Clinton health plan” or “Hillarycare,” to pass. John Kerry, meanwhile, was marked with a “Probably not.” “Hillarycare” ended up dying in the Democratic-controlled Senate in 1994 without coming to a floor vote. As vice president, Biden has been a loyal supporter of the Obama administration’s

Wayne Crews of the Competitive Enterprise Institute and Alexis de Tocqueville, author of the classic Democracy in America, were born in different times and places. But the French aristocrat and American think tanker have the measure of the federal behemoth in the age of Obama. Writing in 1835, Tocqueville eloquently predicted how it would function, while Crews today supplies in his annual compilation of federal rules and regulations, “10,000 Commandments,” the hard numbers that describe the behemoth´s contemporary reach and costs. It is always worthwhile to revisit de Tocqueville’s description of what he called the

Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan
