| RUSH: I can´t believe they still don´t know whether or not they got Dorner. I can´t believe they still don´t know. Well, it´s interesting, or confusing, because they did find some tracks leading away from the cabin, and they found a body in there. They still don´t know whether or not Chris Dorner went up in flames along with the rest of the cabin. They heard a gunshot. They don´t know if he shot himself. They haven´t done the ID. This is amazing.

Given the keystone cop performances that the police have already entertained us with, I say it is entirely possible that he slipped out of the cabin. That would explain footprints headed away from cabin. Just because there is ID in the cabin doesn´t mean it is Dorner. Dental records should settle it.

Last night late the police said there was no body but how would they know if as they also said the fire was too hot to get near the cabin.

A story in the Washington Post yesterday about the Internal Revenue Service’s Cincinnati office, which does most of the agency’s nonprofit auditing, clearly contradicted earlier reports that the agency’s targeting of Tea Party groups was the result of rogue agents. The Post story anonymously quoted a staffer in Cincinnati as saying they only operate on directives from headquarters: As could be expected, the folks in the determinations unit on Main Street have had trouble concentrating this week. Number crunchers, whose work is nonpolitical, don’t necessarily enjoy the spotlight, especially when the media and the public assume they’re engaged in partisan villainy.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
