| In the first part of an interview aired on Wednesday´s NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer interrogated House Speaker John Boehner over saying President Obama lacked the courage to stand up to his Democratic base: "And by calling the President of the United States out in such harsh terms today, on the day of the State of the Union address....I think a lot of people are going to say, ´Here we go. We can´t hide from these shows. The questions and attitude are what you´d expect. Try and make Boehner the devil, then try to get him to say something to divide the party. Boehner´s problem is he doesn´t really connect with the average viewer.

Republicans are too stupid to stay off these republican hating shows. No wonder 3 million registered republicans stayed home last November.
Boehner will lose the House in 2014 and we`ll likely see Pelosi back as Speaker and the reemergence of SpeakerForce One.

Congress is different from other federal politics as congressional politics is local, as long as Boehner´s constituents who make up his congressional district think that he is representing their political views he will be re-elected, no matter what New York and Washington, DC liberals say or do, or what national polls claim.
Both Boehner and Obama have a right to say what they believe, no matter what talking heads like Matt Lauer think about that.

Like everyone else at NBC, Matt Lauer isn´t a journalist. He´s a cheerleader for the Democrat Party. Why Republicans appear on networks with ZERO balance in their coverage (including ZERO conservatives) baffles me.

It is good that no one is tuning into hear old Matt praddle on with his liberal bias. For the "libs" they believe no one is to question 0bama, but now is the time to question 0bama´s policies, his motives, and most of all his honesty and integrity. Opposite is always the truth at NBC. What ever the co-host said, the opposite is the truth. The Speaker just needs to stand hs ground and call the lies for what they are. Like get in Lauer´s face and tell him he is giving false information the the country and he should be ashamed of himself and the whole news industry.

SAN JOSE— For most Americans in the United States, Armed Forces Day is not on the lists of likely holidays to honor the country’s military in celebrations of Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day. Sadly, most Americans may not even realize that Armed Forces Day is even a legitimate holiday. Armed Forces Day was established to be celebrated on the third Saturday in May. It started during Harry Truman’s administration when he led an effort to consolidate the various holidays supporting each separate branch of the military into a simple unified holiday to honor the four branches together.

Dorothy, the 14-year-old peregrine falcon that since 2002 has nested on a 40th-floor ledge of the Cathedral of Learning in Oakland, was perched on the limestone railing next to that nest and her lone chick shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. She´d just fed the 22-day-old chick a small bird for breakfast. "Baltimore oriole ... again," said Kate St. John, who blogs about the city´s peregrines. Someone else watching from the office inside the window next to the nest said it looked like Dorothy was calmly "chilling." Ms. St. John´s response was that nothing could be further from the truth.

WASHINGTON — An Internal Revenue Service watchdog testified Friday that he told Obama administration officials in June that he was looking into allegations the IRS targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status. The revelation by Inspector General Russell George came at the first congressional hearing on the IRS misconduct, which has generated a political firestorm since it was disclosed a week ago. George’s testimony represented the first evidence that officials in the Obama administration knew of the allegations as long as a year ago, during the presidential campaign.

Senior Obama administration officials where notified almost a year ago that an inspector general was looking into the IRS’s treatment of conservative groups, a watchdog said on Friday. Russell George, Treasury’s inspector general (IG) for tax administration, testified that he told the department’s general counsel and Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin about the probe around June of 2012 — months after media reports started detailing Tea Party complaints about the IRS. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
