| I’ll get to President Obama’s unremarkable State of the Union address in a moment. But first I want to discuss the first major televised address of the man who very well may be the next President of the United States: Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida. Sen. Rubio forthrightly addressed in both English and Spanish the principal domestic challenge of our time—the health care-driven budget deficit—while President Obama dishonestly insisted that Medicare reform was being held hostage by “special interest tax breaks.”

Didn´t watch any of the TV shows last night.
The quotes from Rubio offered here by the writer sound good.
Obviously Obama is a ripe target for his hypocrisy and lying.
Can´t wait to turn Obama into merely a Blame Duck.

I am not impressed by anything anybody in Congress says or does. The country is in shambles, both economically and socially and no amount of speeches good or bad is going to fix that. Talk is cheap. These DC bozos are big on talk but nonexistent on action. They are all too busy wheeling and dealing with lobbyists to care about securing our borders, promoting a stable dollar and lowering taxes to promote business.
If Rubio wants to impress me then introduce legislation calling for a flat tax.

Well the " conservative" media have their boy for 2016.
Now fall in line. Get behind Schumer-Rubio amnesty plan because Forbes and co need their steady source of cheap labor. To hell with the rubes in the working class who work full time yet still are under the poverty line. Let them go on Dear Leader´s food stamp rolls. The real traitors in this country are the people in corporate America who´ve hallowed out the middle class with their undying greed for cheap labor. To hell with all of them. With all respect, #4, that´s nonsense. I would have expected a more thoughtful response from you, whether or not you like Marco Rubio.
No one has chosen our nominee for 2016. We have a long way to go before then and we have a deep bench from which to field a team. If anyone has a favorite, work on that person´s behalf. We must not indulge ourselves in defeatist attitudes. It´s too important.

The dems have discovered the secret to winning elections. They quite simply always vote for the most liberal candidate on any ballot in front of them regardless of their personal preferences. The GOP, on the other hand, have decided that the best course for them is for everyone to pick their favorite candidate and stick with them no matter what. During the Primary season, they can savage the opposing candidates even if it means weakening their chances in the general election. If their candidate loses in the Primary, they are under no compulsion to support the winner. In fact they consider it a source of pride to continue to beat up the victor as if by some miracle time will reverse itself and their preferred candidate will get a do-over. And finally in the general election they consider it admirable to stick by their principles and refuse to vote for the individual who defeated their guy. They like to call themselves principled and patriots. The rest of the world calls them losers. There are numerous parables dedicated to just these sort of people.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Let’s see if we can unravel one of the great mysteries of the Obama Administration. The latest invocations of the Incompetence Defense from President Obama, Eric Holder, and now the departing Acting IRS Commissioner (hilariously described by the Associated Press as “ousted,” even though he’s leaving exactly when he was originally scheduled to depart, in June) hold that all of these super-genius leaders found out about various outrages by watching the news, along with the rest of us. They have no idea what their subordinates do every day, until it blows up into a huge scandal on the evening news, and that’s why they should be left in charge of everything.

A year ago, The Associated Press discovered a foiled al-Qaida plot. Worried about the safety of an informant in the case, the CIA asked the AP to delay publishing the story until their spy could be secured. The AP agreed. Five days later, the CIA told the AP that their national security concerns were “no longer an issue.” As a seasoned AP team of reporters and editors made final edits to their scoop, the CIA backtracked and asked the AP to delay the story one more day. New national security concerns? Nope. The only concern was about public relations.

So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge.
