The Stoning of Dr. Ben Carson
American Spectator, by Paul Kengor

Liberals continue their hysteria over remarks made by Dr. Ben Carson at the National Prayer Breakfast last week. Carson, a prominent pediatric surgeon from Johns Hopkins University, dared to weigh in on healthcare — something he knows something about, and certainly knows better than Barack Obama. In the liberal mind, Carson committed a grave transgression; he had dared to disagree with Obama, and in Obama’s presence. In a discussion of Carson’s moral effrontery, Candy Crowley, host of CNN’s State of the Union, asked her panelists whether they were offended by Carson’s comments.

Inappropriate? Maybe. Necessary? YES! Dr Carson said what needed to be said and picked a time when he was face to face with the chief honcho to say it. Notice not one fact is being disputed by Ms Crowley, just the venue. That´s because the truths spoken by the good doctor are indisputable. The doc btw was way more polite than I would have been.

We all know the media cheered anytime someone disagreed with Bush, especially in his presence. I´m just so over the predictable media lapdogs. You can write their scripts for them. Be gone, Candy.

Dr. Carson: a brave man and a very necessary breath of fresh air. The nation needs more men like Dr. Carson and Rep. Ryan who will look Obama in the face and tell him he is full of it and that his socialism won´t work.

The irony of it is is that if Candy and her comrades had not made such a big deal of it, none of us would have heard about it. Kudo´s to the liberal press who made it possible for others to see the light. Dr. Carson is a black hero for real. So sad that they can´t call him racist. Hee hee.

Come on. We all know the lefties got their pannies wadded up because they inadvertently COVERED THE STORY. They had it on live, waiting for their (pseudo)American Idol to issue forth with their marching and broadcasting orders, when THIS GUY, the other BLACK GUY (yay) stood up and TOLD THE TRUTH (wha?!).

The only thing inappropriate about the venue is that they happened to be watching it. And so, they had to THINK ABOUT IT. (So naturally, they found fault with it.)

"The wrong venue", I think not, many patriotic Americans are praying for anyone to speak the truth no matter the location.

With the msm in the tank for heil obummer it is surprising it took this long to "Palinize Dr Carson" -- a little harder to do because he
is the anathema to the alinskyites, a conservative exceedingly intelligent Black Man!!!

Leftists are the most racist people on the planet. They think conservative blacks are Uncle Toms and traitors and they think that the rest of the blacks are ignorant helpless sheep to be kept in their pens until election day when they are then herded to the booths to vote for the farmers who dish out the meager goodies.

The righteous indignation burns a little brighter on this side of the Atlantic than it does in Europe and beyond — the United States, per Fitzgerald, “having about it still that quality of the idea.” Forged in revolution, informed by soaring sentiment, and defined by acts of variously prudent dissidence, Americans of all sorts fancy themselves to be fighting the good fight. (Snip) If Cliven Bundy’s behavior is legitimized by the gravity of his circumstances, how many others may follow suit, singing his name as they go?

WASHINGTON — The case of Farrah Fawcett’s missing portrait is getting a redo. The University of Texas is appealing a Los Angeles Superior Court jury verdict from December that an iconic portrait of the late actress by Andy Warhol belongs to her on-again off-again lover, actor Ryan O’Neal. Fawcett was 62 when she died of cancer in 2009 and she bequeathed all her artwork, including her own creations, to the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied art in the1960s. O’Neal, however, took the painting from her Wilshire Boulevard condo after she died and has maintained that it was always his _

President Barack Obama is attempting to lower the rate of “births” — and separately, pregnancies — among blacks and Latinos. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lists reducing “births” as one of the top goals of Obama’s “Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative.” The language on the CDC’s website makes clear that the program seeks to reduce the rate of both pregnancies and “births” among minorities. Specifically, the CDC says the “purpose of this program is to demonstrate the effectiveness of innovative, multicomponent, communitywide initiatives in reducing rates of teen pregnancy and births in communities with the highest rates, with a focus on reaching

Tax day is here—and some people will pay more this year because of Obamacare. The law´s biggest tax provision—billions of dollars in tax credits to help people cover the cost of their premiums—is already in effect, but doesn´t affect the taxes due on Tuesday. A handful of smaller provisions, mostly affecting wealthy households, will show up for the first time in this year´s filing. Among this year´s changes: a 0.9 percent increase in Medicare taxes and a 3.8 percent surtax on investment income. Both are limited to high-income taxpayers, and both took effect for the first time in the tax season that

Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes.
