Washington - U.S. President Barack Obama said on Tuesday the United States needed to do more to fight climate change and told Congress he would do so by executive action if it failed to pursue a market-based system to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. "I urge this Congress to pursue a bipartisan, market-based solution to climate change, like the one John McCain and Joe Lieberman worked on together a few years ago," Obama said, according to the text of his address provided by the White House. "But if Congress won't act soon to protect future generations, I will.

Despite the fraudulent "science" at places like East Anglia University and elsewhere, there is no scientific proof of human-caused "global warming". Even the UN group working on this concluded as much in a recent report. This "global warming" is a scam to drain more taxes from producers and distribute it to politicians, bureaucrats, and other useless eaters. Mr. Obama is a mouthpiece for such redistributionists. He continues his appointed mission to impoverish the American people and make them less free.

He is already taking action against carbon. The recession/depression that resulted from his policies have reduced "greenhouse gas" emissions by a significant amount.

Action on environment "if needed?"

That seems like thin gruel considering what we were expecting.

Environment. When he talks that talk it´s not to us but to the Saudis.

His Supreme Doofusness is going to take on the weather now? It can´t be bribed, bullied or scared into submission like congress so I hope his executive order prompts the weather to bring the tin god back down to earth in a disastrous way.

I was not aware that Obama dictated World policy. No matter what the USA does, he has NO
power to dictate what other Countries do. and any change the USA makes will be offset by the economic boom it creates elsewhere to fill the void left by U>S> policy. No fool like a delusional fool who does not know he is one, in my opinion.

Environmental fraud has proven to be the key to get majority support for totalitarian socialism. No one can oppose "saving the earth". Environmentalism is an even bigger fraud than even SS/Medicare, and it´s more effective as well.

"Global warming" scam is as silly as the UFO scam of the early 60´s. Very trendy, but it is only setup for the ruling class to empty the working class of their money without calling it a tax.

Reply 19 - Posted by: Charactercounts, 2/13/2013 1:33:29 AM     (No. 9173473)

Why doesn´t he just issue an executive order commanding the climate cease warming, and return to what he considers correct?

It seems he believes he has the ultimate power, so why not use it?

Reply 20 - Posted by: PChristopher, 2/13/2013 2:21:22 AM     (No. 9173492)

This traitor has shown that the process of executive orders needs to be severely limited...subjected to Court´s scrutiny or limited to the running of the White House or something. You can not trust people like this with power of any sort.

Reply 21 - Posted by: 4Justice, 2/13/2013 2:30:13 AM     (No. 9173496)

I wouldn´t necessarily compare this to UFOs. There has been evidence that UFOs have been here. There is more proof that they are real than AGW or climate change. Even Reagan was briefed on them and he believed they´d been here. Fiber optics and other innovations supposedly came from them. Now I can´t say for sure there have been visitors, but I have also seen unidentified objects myself in the sky that I haven´t been able to figure out. And it wasn´t a weather balloon, jet or anything like that.

In each case that Obama has bypassed Congress and enacted his own law he warned us about it first. And in each case the Republicans, after a little public fuming, sat on their hands and did nothing. There are remedies to what Obama is doing.

How special, an executive order to mandate a supposed solution to a fake problem.

BERLIN — President Barack Obama is challenging Americans and Europeans not to become complacent even though the Cold War is over. Obama is speaking at Berlin´s iconic Brandenburg Gate nearly 50 years after John F. Kennedy´s famous speech in the once-divided city. Obama says there´s a temptation to turn inward now that barbed wire and concrete walls no longer separate East and West in Berlin. He says he´s returned to Berlin because the tests of our time require the same fighting spirit. He´s pointing to poverty and unemployment as ongoing challenges requiring the world´s

WASHINGTON -- Former Congressman Allen West says challenging Senator Marco Rubio in the 2016 Republican Florida primary election would be a daunting task. "That´s a pretty heavy lift, because you´re talking about running against a sitting senator, and then, of course, that creates that schism that the other side would love to see happen," said West, who appeared as a guest co-host on WMAL´s Mornings on the Mall Wednesday. West was pressed further by WMAL´s Larry O´Connor, who asked him directly if he would rule out a challenge against Rubio

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would win Florida against both Sen. Marco Rubio and former Gov. Jeb Bush in the 2016 presidential election, a new poll finds. If the election were held today, Clinton would top Bush 50 percent to 43 percent, and she would best Rubio 53 percent to 41 percent, according to Wednesday’s survey from Quinnipiac. Vice President Joe Biden would trail both of Florida’s Republican favorites. If he were the Democratic candidate, Bush would win 47 percent to 43 percent, and Rubio would narrowly defeat Biden 45 percent to 43 percent.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
