The White House has released limited excerpts of President Obama´s State of the Union Address: “It is our generation’s task, then, to reignite the true engine of America’s economic growth – a rising, thriving middle class. "It is our unfinished task to restore the basic bargain that built this country – the idea that if you work hard and meet your responsibilities, you can get ahead, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or who you love. "It is our unfinished task to make sure that this government

And we all believe that! NOT. If I never had to hear the word "smarter" again from some leftist I would be very happy. What does that even mean? Nothing of course. I have no desire to listen to his lies and propaganda tonight.

Of course not. For you in Rio Lindo, this will be taken care off by revenue. For the rest of the kool aid drinkers out there, revenue means raising taxes on the working class in order to maintain the "parasite" class.

Reply 17 - Posted by: Teleologicus, 2/12/2013 7:23:22 PM     (No. 9173032)

Yikes.

Whoever writes this stuff for Obama seems to be making it up as they go.

This is the first I have heard of any "basic bargain" that promises everyone that if they work hard, they will "get ahead," by which Leftists always mean making more money.

Who made this bargain? When and where was it made? Who ever said to anybody that if you work hard, you are sure to get ahead, i.e. make more money?

This is an incredibly childish fantasy, but one that is characteristic of the infantile entitlement fantasies of the Left.

Plenty of people work hard who do not get ahead. Sometimes they get behind. Other people don´t work hard, or even work at all, and they become fabulously rich.

It´s just not fair.

Obama is a master of deception. It depends on what "should" means. It shouldn´t increase the deficit but you can bet it will.

Every statement is nuanced to sound truthful and benefitial but always turns out to be a lie.

Gasoline and heating oil has doubled. Food prices and other things have skyrocketed.

According to Betsey McCaughey, former Lt. Gov. of New York and expert on health care, the Obamacare law requires that EMPLOYEES be covered. It does not require that their children be offered a health care plan, nor does it require parents to purchase health care for their children.

I don´t believe one word this liar says.

U.S. military sources serving in North Africa are challenging the latest White House claim that the administration is applying "all the resources" at its disposal to bring the Benghazi attackers to justice, charging instead that the Obama administration knows who is responsible but is not acting. "They have let it slip by because of politics, and now we´ve taken all the correlation we had and dropped the ball because of risk (aversion) -- and now the security in Libya is more fragile than ever," one U.S. special operator told Fox News. Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has apologized for remarks Monday in which he linked Oklahoma "cyclones" to climate change while berating Republicans for their stance on the issue -- around the time a massive tornado killed dozens in that state. A Whitehouse spokesman said Tuesday the politically charged remarks were pre-written as part of the senator’s weekly Senate floor speech on climate change. “Tragically and unbeknownst to the senator at the time, a series of tornadoes were hitting Oklahoma at the same moment he gave his remarks,” the spokesman said.

White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

We need a full and complete investigation and then we will decide the dimensions of it,” said McCain while campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Gabriel Gomez in Dorchester. “It is terrible but we have to have a full investigation before we leap to conclusions.” The maverick’s caution is a sharp contrast to the response of many Republicans
