House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) confused the First Amendment with the Second Amendment when talking about gun rights on on Fox News Sunday. “We’re talking about background checks, which is very popular even among gun owners and hunters. We avow the First Amendment. We stand with that and say that people have a right to have a gun to protect themselves in their homes, in their jobs, wherever, in their workplace…for recreation and hunting and the rest,” Pelosi told Fox News host Chris Wallace when he challenged

The usual liberal tactic...... Little by little, inch by inch until the day they feel they have the power to tell the truth. Which is why we see things becoming clearer as Obama now has the election out of the way. Pelosi hopes to calm the furor. But, of course you never can pin down that "living Constitution" they pledge an oath to defend. Next it could mean that no one has a right to a gun! After all it changes with the needs of the country, right? So when THEY think it should change then it "lives" and changes to whatever THEY want it to mean!

The Bill of Rights was written to limit, limit the goobernment. The Bill doesn´t say a person has a right to bear arms based on Naci and others ideas of who should own arms. It says we all have the right. And Naci and her goose-stepping minions want to restrict our rights with ´popular´ background checks. The Bill of Rights don´t protect just those that met Naci criteria based on a background check, it limits the goobernment from infringing on our rights. If popular was the criteria to infringe on rights, then Naci can kiss homosexual marriage, abortion and Miranda rights good-bye.

Obviously Nancy extended her usual "Open Wine and Whine Friday" all the way to

Relegate her to her wine/whine cellar near San Francisco, where people think like her.

Peeloosey stated flatly, twice in one day, during Bush´s last year that 500 million workers had lost their jobs. Her election should have automatically disenfranchised California voters.

Not being a Troll... but anyone can make such an innocent confusion - Palin does it, Bush does it. The real point is that this woman and her ilk have no respect for the fundamental nature of the Constitution and the Rulers/Ruled relationship it implies. What she is paying is hypocritical lip service to further her ideological intentions. The Constituion was NOT created to enable the government to do anything for a free and sovereign people but to restrain and corral it so that it may not trample their natural rights. Skepticism about the intentions of authority is its guiding principle. This is where there is real divide in this country. The basic dispute between Tea Party and the RINO establishment also exists along this fault line. "Moderate" Republicans - McCain, Romney, Rove have no real objection to the Democrats´ idea of the role of government they merely dispute the degree. Thats why we need nothing short of a Second American Revolution. Interesting to watch Rand Paul´s response tonight.

Sure Nancy. Waiting around for more than two hours to get a background check done to buy a gun is real popular. If this is required for private purchases as well, the wait is going to be even longer and will cost the law abinding citizens money as I do not see this being done for free.

If in any of these situations even one person of influence had adhered to the basic tenets of liberalism all of these scandals could have been avoided. "When you grow government this big, these kinds of scandals are inevitable, and (President Obama) bears the responsibility for that," Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal told a group of Virginia Republicans over the weekend. Other conservatives are echoing this view -- that the scandals embroiling the administration undermine Obama´s push for an activist "big government." I guess when you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail. For the GOP, anything that

The Justice Department did more than seize a Fox News reporter´s emails while suggesting he was a criminal "co-conspirator" in a leak case -- it did so under one of the most serious wartime laws in America, the Espionage Act. It´s the same law used by the Nixon administration to go after The New York Times and Daniel Ellsberg over the leak of the Pentagon Papers. It´s the law used to charge the Rosenbergs, American communists, for allegedly passing secret information to the Soviet Union -- they were executed for the offense in 1953. One Washington attorney,

In one of the most fiery interviews on Fox News Channel, Megyn Kelly took on the attorney for Kermit Gosnell, the abortion doctor convicted of murdering three babies and manslaughter of a woman. Gosnell was sentenced to more than three consecutive life sentences after performing hundreds of late-term abortions. On America Live, Jim McMahon continued to defend his client against the horrific details of his crimes. Kelly started the interview saying, “We don’t tar the attorney with the sins of the client.” McMahon said Gosnell was “disappointed and upset” over the verdict.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Several days ago some fringe “conservatives” mentioned the idea of impeaching President Obama. For reasons as obvious as they are numerous, that is a terrible idea. Saying that is like throwing chum out to the worst conservatives, the ones who act like liberals, the ones who are all angry instinct, who rather than strategize their way to victory would rather sweep the pieces off the table and throw a tantrum on the floor. Serious and effective conservatism demands putting facts and reason above emotion and hysteria. Some comments concerning potential impeachment are so

Sen. Harry Reid said Wednesday that he will push to confirm more judges to the federal appeals court in Washington, D.C., after that court ruled earlier this year that President Obama’s broad use of recess appointment powers was unconstitutional. “You have a majority in that court that is wrecking havoc in the country. For the first time in 230 years, they ruled the president can’t make a recess appointment, so yes there is a crisis,” Mr. Reid, the chamber’s leader, said on the Senate floor as he begged for quick action on more of the president’s judicial nominees.

Mayor Bloomberg went on a spitting-mad rant against a city cab-fleet boss who won a court victory over Hizzoner’s planned “Taxi of Tomorrow” — vowing to “destroy your f--king industry” when he leaves office, The Post has learned. A fuming Bloomberg made the threat against Taxi Club Management CEO Gene Freidman at Madison Square Garden’s private 1879 Club during last Thursday’s Knick playoff game, a witness said yesterday. “It was like Gene had kidnapped his child. He used the f-word twice,” the witness said. Freidman confirmed the blow-up to The Post, and said Bloomberg’s tirade included the warning that,

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
