Many African-Americans
concerned about Obama’s
focus on immigrant rights

McClatchy Newspapers, by William Douglas and Franco Ordonez

WASHINGTON — No sooner did President Barack Obama and a group of senators separately outline proposals to revamp the nation’s immigration system than the phone lines on several African-American-oriented talk radio shows heated up with callers blasting the plans. “Amnesty,” complained Frankie from Maryland recently on the nationally syndicated “Keeping it Real with Al Sharpton.” (Snip) “Our issues are not being highlighted and pushed, and things like gay marriage and (immigration) are being pushed to the forefront,” the caller said. “Hispanics are effectively organized. For us not to be organized and for us not to hold our leadership accountable

When you deal in special interest pandering politics, thisis what you get...with Al Sharpton et al stirring the pot.

The community is restless. He "owes" them:

FTA:

Bernard Anderson, an Obama supporter and a former assistant labor secretary during Bill Clinton’s presidency, recently told an African-American economic summit at Washington’s Howard University that African-Americans should no longer give Obama “a pass” on dealing with issues that directly impact their community.

“He is not going to run again for anything. He does not deserve a pass anymore,” Anderson said. “Let him not only find his voice but summon his courage and use his political capital to address racial inequality. He owes that to the African-American.”

Obama has the majority black support no matter what he does. He does not have to please them to get their vote. He must pander for the immigrant vote for the dem party. He must also make up phony womens´ issues to get the vote of uninformed, low information women voters.

Don´t worry minority voters, he got your vote and does not need you now. Shut up and get out of his way until the next election when the dems need your votes.

FTA: Some members of the Congressional Black Caucus are quietly seething because Obama hasn’t met with the 42-member group since May 13, 2011.

Why should he? An automatic 95% of the black vote means he doesn´t have to give you diddly-squat.

When a group can be relied upon to vote 95+% based solely on race or party, then don´t expect any favors. Votes are to be bought and the AA community has sold their votes as cheap as possible. However, the competition, Hispanics, have not reliably sold their votes. Thus, the Dems will sacrifice the AA community in order to buy Hispanic votes. It’s just good old fashion competition. If the AA community wants to now compete with illegals for the jobs available to them, then continue to sell the AA community votes for next to nothing. Oh, and playing the race card isn´t going to work on Illegals. They cdon´t care and feel tey are discriminated by AAs.

"Our issues"? One could puke.

"Immigrant rights"? One could puke.

"Address racial inequality"? Well, after I puke, I´ll ask Mr. Anderson a question or two. Explain where that "racial inequality" exists. If you refer to a racial group that often has higher unemployment and lower incomes than another racial group, maybe members of that first group too-frequently bring far fewer positives and far more negatives to employers? Maybe? Maybe some critical negatives are self-selected? Maybe another critical negative [let´s see... who´s on the right slope? who´s on the left slope?] cannot possibly be addressed by any gov´t policy? Maybe?

FTA: ...African-Americans who gave him 93 percent of their vote.... Some members of the Congressional Black Caucus are quietly seething because Obama hasn’t met with the 42-member group since May 13, 2011. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla. .... said the black caucus sent the White House the names of 61 potential candidates for positions in a second-term administration.... "Not one of that 61 was selected – not one"....

Let´s see -- a population segment acted stupidly, and is now unhappy about being treated as though stupid. I think that´s it. Alcee? H-e-l-l-o-o-o? [Alcee, stupid enough to get impeached and removed, is surprised he´s stupid enough to get fleeced. Heh, heh, heh.]

FTA - “Hispanics are effectively organized. For us not to be organized and for us not to hold our leadership accountable is disheartening.”

In other words, we want our piece of the pie. Division of the spoils of war. So that´s how it ends; a race to the bottom of the barrel for a country that was founded on a higher vision, that was once was a light to the world.

Obama is exotic, never raised in America, and has none of its values. So black, aka African Americans, can just get used to the fact that he does not give a d--- about you. Obama is interested in communism, climate change, immigration to perpetuate Obama power, and gay rights to legitimize his and Mooch´s marriage.

Blacks have insisted on following the victimology route courtesy of the sharptons, jacksons, and farrakhans. They consistently vote democrat, enabling the continuation of the eugenics program fostered by planned parenthood. They ensure their becoming a demographic of shrinking significance. Hispanics will dictate the future of this country. Blacks will not.

Reply 16 - Posted by: califedup, 2/12/2013 10:29:10 AM     (No. 9171915)

What´s an African American? Is that someone who used to live in Africa but is now a naturalized citizen? Also Africa is a continent and not a country and contains all different colors of people so how can this label apply only to black Americans and for that matter why are so many Americans buying into this fake deliberately racist divisive label?

So again I pose the question what is an African American? Can someone point out a prominent "African American" as an example?

This is an unseemly battle for the spoils of victimology. Nothing for mainstream America to cheer about.

As American citizens, black people should be highly ticked off, as illegal aliens are holding down millions of jobs in this country that black people could be doing when the black unemployment rate is the highest of any tribe in America, and Obama with his over the top pandering for Hispanic votes is facilitating all that.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. SOS. I have become thoroughly convinced Obama could line 500-1000 black children up and kill them in front of everyone; and he would still get 93+% of the black vote. It´s sick. It´s unfortunately what we are all up against.

Too bad (though hilarious) when LoInfo voters get the little bit of bad news they can understand about their voting selection.

Reply 23 is spot on. Blacks have been severely impacted by the illegal alien invasion. mexicans have taken jobs away from blacks. What´s more, the overwhelming supply of cheap laborers have driven down wages for unskilled and semi-skilled jobs which is demoralizing for blacks who can´t find work that pays a living wage. The descendants of slaves have paid the biggest price for our politicians corrupt open border policies. The concern expressed by African-Americans on this topic is 35 years too late.

obama will show his concern by going on many muti million dollar vacations at your expense.

Suckers!

And the Lord said "for all things give thanks..." Are the blacks aware what ´the war on poverty´ was all about? It was about trying to float the standard of living for blacks, to make them more equal by creating lower levels of achievement for them so they could ´more fairly´ compete. But have they? Trillions of dollars have been squandered on this ´war´ that cannot and will not be won because the objects of this fight want it all given to them with no effort on their part. Obama has continued helping by giving unemployment monies away for example, without anyone seeking employment...what a deal. Trillions spent with what results? Highest unemployment, highest illegitimate rate in the country with over 75% of ´fatherless´ babies and highest percentage rate of jailed felons. With nothing to crow about they support a black president with over 94% of their votes and can´t say or know why other than he is black. Now another ethnic group is getting rewarded for their votes with strong support and the black ´leadership´ wants to know ´where´s ours ?" How much more do you want? You are like used paper cups, no longer needed...you did your job now shut up and go away till you are needed again...feels good don´t it? By the way, where are the thanks for all you have already gotten?

‘Who’s going to jail’ over IRS
scandal? Probably nobody.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) wants to know “who’s going to jail” over the IRS scandal. But ousted acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller says no laws were violated when the agency targeted conservative groups. So who’s right? Did the IRS’s conduct take a step beyond mere “wrongdoing” and venture into criminal territory? (Snip)Essentially, there are three types of laws that might conceivably have been broken, as Attorney General Eric Holder acknowledged in his testimony before a House committee Wednesday:

WASHINGTON — It was an unusual way to deliver bad news, even in a town known for its selective leaks, Friday night news dumps and wag-the-dog distractions. The Internal Revenue Service, apparently determined to get out ahead of an inspector general report critical of its handling of tax exemptions for Tea Party groups, came up with a plan: Lois Lerner, the official responsible for the tax-exempt division, would publicly apologize in response to a question at the American Bar Association conference in Washington. Details of the now-infamous planted question emerged Friday after acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller admitted the gambit

Taxpayers tuning in to Friday´s House Ways and Means hearing on IRS targeting of conservative groups may have expected to hear some hangdog apologies from senior members of the agency. If so, they were disappointed. Acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller, who was fired by President Obama this week but is sticking around to help with the transition, was almost casual about the pattern of biased enforcement that cost him his job. Earlier this week he blamed the political targeting on "rogue" officials in Cincinnati, but on Friday he said the behavior was "obnoxious" but that he does "not believe

Members of Congress grilled former IRS Acting Commissioner Steven Miller on Capitol Hill Friday morning, in an attempt to get answers on the IRS´ inappropriate targeting of conservative-sounding groups that were applying for tax-exempt status. Republicans and Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee both said that Miller and other IRS officials should have alerted Congress in testimony last year that they knew the agency was giving extra scrutiny to conservative and Tea Party groups.

President Obama announced Wednesday that acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller would resign in the wake of the agency scandal in which conservative groups were targeted -- though Miller was apparently set to step down anyway. An official close to Miller told Fox News, shortly after Obama´s brief announcement, that the IRS chief was "set to resign the position of acting commission as of early June." He was planning to leave the IRS entirely a "couple of months later, regardless of the current controversy," the source said. These details were not mentioned by the president

The director of the Office of Rulings and Agreements, which oversees the determinatons of tax-exempt organizations, is a donor to Barack Obama. Holly Paz donated $2,000 to Obama’s 2008 campaign, according to Open Secrets, which maintains a database of individual political donations. An inspector general’s report released yesterday concluded that the IRS improperly targeted Tea Party and other conservative groups for undue scrutiny, and Paz heads the office in which the wrongdoing is said to have occurred. National Review Online reported earlier today that agency officials are currently copying the hard drives of every employee on Paz’s watch.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
