| President Obama´s State of the Union message "will be one that resonates broadly with the American people," White House Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett told MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" on Tuesday. "And so the message will be one about building the middle class from the inside out as opposed to the top down. That was the essential theme of his 2008 campaign, that´s what he did during his first term, and it certainly was debated in the last election," she said. "And I think that theme will be described in ways of, how are we going to equip the

Comments: Ahh yes, one of my favorite people, Valerie Jarrett. s/o I´m sure it will resonate loudly and not in a good way. She said Obama "has always reached out" to Republicans??? What a pitiful joke. They are consummate liars.

Yeah, but the Repubs will just suggest their "friends" are simply a bit misguided, and then will end up rolling over.
What a pathetic bunch of losers they all are (and we are under their rule).

"Building the middle class from the inside out" implies that unemployed and underemployed people just have to appear at factories and offices to be hired. There doesn´t need to be an owner of the plant or office, since that means "top down". Rather, walk in, sit down and collect a paycheck from inside.
Obama´s brain, Val Jar, provides another stunner: "....and how do we make sure that if you work hard, you can make a good living?" Will Obama propose that all workers have an Obamameter that measures effort on the job? If Obamameter reports that you stayed 15 minutes after 5 0 pm or handled another 3 people in line before you closed the register, will your employer be required to give you a $10,000 bonus towards that "good living". Or, will there be federal agents at every employee´s review to determine appropriate level of compensation? The is class warfare at its worst.

The newest Senator from Texas, Ted Cruz, would have been my choice for the State of the Union response. He is by far more capable and not afraid to voice his conservative convictions. Rubio will only try to elevate himself, not conservative ideals. He and Ayotte have been glued to the hip with McCain and Graham since they hit DC and they are NOT what I consider the two to have leading the procession.
McCain now wants to increase taxes. Could Graham be very far behind to echo this action?

ValJar is a subversive Svengali. Conservative news outlets need to harangue the fraud prez about her, the way that G.W. Bush was harangued about Karl Rove. Rove finally left, but I don´t think the idea would cross ValJar´s mind, since she is doing someone´s mission to control Obama.

Americans need to wake up and look at this woman and see who she is: a seditiously mean, calculating, America hating, eminence grise who stands in the shadow of this muslim monster and his monster wife in everything they do from the time their eyes open in the morning and until they close at night. She is evil to the core, has never been vetted, and more people daily seem to be realizing she is running this country.

President Obama on Tuesday downplayed Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s decision to suspend talks on a long-term security deal with the U.S. in protest of the launch of formal peace talks with the Taliban. Karzai also pulled out of peace talks with the Taliban the Obama administration agreed to hold in Qatar, which are to begin Thursday. Obama said his administration had always anticipated "difficult negotiations." "We had extensive conversations with President Karzai both before and after the Taliban opened the office in Doha," Obama told reporters at a joint press conference in Berlin with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

It probably wouldn´t have shocked political observers if Sen. Marco Rubio´s job approval ratings had taken a hit since becoming the Republican face of comprehensive immigration reform earlier this year. But the Florida Republican´s numbers in his home state are actually close to their best ever, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released on Wednesday, though the senator did get low marks from voters for his handling of both immigration and gun control. Rubio had a job approval rating of 51 percent to 35 percent, the survey of registered voters found.

PANORAMA CITY — School board members have approved a plan to rename a San Fernando Valley elementary school after First Lady Michelle Obama. Los Angeles Unified board members voted unanimously Tuesday to name Valley Region Elementary School No. 13 after Mrs. Obama. The campus, which was opened last August to relieve overcrowding at nearby elementary schools, focuses on healthy eating for students, a cause championed by Mrs. Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign. The First Lady was in Germany on Wednesday as President Obama meets with Prime Minister Angela Merkel and other leaders.

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz announced an amendment to the Senate immigration bill to block a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants on Wednesday. Cruz previously attempted to insert the amendment to prevent a pathway in the Judiciary Committee mark-up of the legislation. The Texas Republican has been a vocal opponent of allowing illegal immigrants a path to citizenship, explaining that is is unfair to those who waited in line to come to the country legally.“A path to citizenship is the most divisive aspect of this bill,” Cruz told “The Fine Point” earlier this month.

Attorney General Eric Holder hosted a “pride” event for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders at the Justice Department on Tuesday, telling attendees that the homosexual agenda will be a “priority” during the remainder of his time as the nation’s top cop. “The fact remains that across the country far too many LBGT Americans suffer discrimination each and every day,” Holder said. “That’s why the department will keep working to create opportunity and access for every individual. That’s why this will continue to be a priority for this department as long as I have the privilege of

The federal government spends six times more on disaster recovery than helping communities become resilient to extreme weather that’s predicted to become more intense and frequent in a warming world, a new study shows. The analysis by the Center for American Progress (CAP), a prominent liberal think tank, labels the approach “pound foolish” and calls for a dedicated fund for “community resilience” fed by higher levies on fossil fuel production. “We must help communities enhance their ability to withstand the high winds, flood waters, scorching heat, searing wild fires, and parched earth from extreme weather,”

President Obama´s top climate adviser on Wednesday vowed that “meaningful” action on global warming was coming soon. Heather Zichal, the deputy assistant to the president on energy and climate change, said she didn’t want to get “in front of the big man” and unveil specific plans during an event in Washington, D.C. hosted by The New Republic. She spoke broadly, however, of bolstering energy efficiency, expanding clean energy on public lands and using various “tools” -- including the Clean Air Act -- to address climate. Zichal’s comments come as speculation grows that the administration is preparing sweeping

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
